I actually like some aspects of technocracy, energy credits sound like a good way to track resource use. I read some posters talking shit about an AI diety for a "state" sanctioned/encouraged religion, and I couldn't tell if he was fucking with me, or autistically niche within the already autistically niche sphere of technocracy.
Well that is rather hard for me to get into in a great level of detail.
As, I do mean unwieldy both as an ideology and as a set of mostly forgotten ideas from the 20s that I attempted to modernize.
To put things very simply.
Syndicalism (especially the version of Syndicalism I'm working on) is adaptable and sale-able.
Technocracy however is like some complicated clockwork machine with its gears made out of tissue paper; It simply would only be able to function in a controlled environment - It has to many interdependencies to function 'in the wild'.
As do I.
I have no intentions of abandoning everything to do with it.
I simply seek to now take the elements of Technocracy that I like (such as energy credits) and integrate that into my own take on Syndicalism.
What are your thoughts as to management? In tech, it was supposedly "the most qualified" and basically engineers running the system as far as I understand. I don't know, however, who is initially qualified to make the judgement on who is granted leadership.
Lot's of people seem to misinterpret anti-hierarchy of socialism to mean no leadership, when it's mostly voting for one who can be immediately recalled. I figure, that with a much better education system, workers would surely be able to make an effective collective judgement for who should be on the various committees within their sector.
Well the form of Syndicalism that I'm working on now uses the traditional system of nominated worker delegates, combined with immediate recall and term limits.
