With that many crystals, it's very unlikely that you'll get Mary. I'd just save them. Every crystal you save, after the 300th roll, can go towards next years christmas.
The stretch from jan-august is the easier part of the year to save thanks to the free-draws and
log-in crystals you get.

I was using the tickets I had saved instead of the crystals since last time got Summer Korwa that way. Feeling really tempted to just burn my tickets trying to get Mary and save the crystals for Summer Izmir and Mary next year. The want for Mary is mostly her Bounty skill.

you should do the opposite. Using crystals for a 10 draw guarantees an SR, whereas single draw tickets don't guarantee anything. They are only worth the spark they offer. The better strategy would be to roll with crystals and save all your tickets.

So what's your opinion on the announced balance changes? I don't own many of the characters but out of the ones I do own:
Anthuria's changes seem a bit underwhelming, since she's already so rng dependant.
Normal Izmir lost her defense down passive and now doesn't lose her stacking attack buff on ougi, she still loses her icicles though, oh and her crit is teamwide.
Nemone seems to have gotten a fucking HUGE buff, she seems really nice now.
Carren got buffed for no reason, she's still no Halloween Beato but she's up there among the fire SR elite.

you're best hoping for free draws as Mary doesn't seem to be that great outside of a backline item collector. If you want team TA, light Vira and Ferry are better. Just save for now

Underwhelming and in some cases insulting, Dark sarunan might as well be deleted from everyone's inventory, cause he is fucking wasted space at this point. Melleau basically lost use of one of her skills and was given only a defense boost on charge(which is worthless unless it gives her no less than 50% each stack and lasts 7+ turns, at which point she might be able to reclaim her skill after a charge attack), Vane lost a skill for the ability to reliably activate his good skill(betting they end up nerfing that next 'balance' patch), lots of minor changes that unless they are hyper inflating some of the numbers will do nothing to change their usefulness. Oh on the bright side Nez and Lancelot got a decent buff even though they were already decent in the first place.

I'm too lazy to grind up guns that I'll eventually replace in an element that isn't fun to play, so I don't mind waiting until those swords drop into my lap.

it might be easier to grind swords after the patch tomorrow, but a 0* sword is worthless. It's only small attack. You don't have to flb the guns, but the big attack will help you far more. The drop rate for chev swords is so low you'll probably average 1 per month. You don't want to go months with only small attack in your grid.

There's always keeping them uncapped and skilling them to three or something since you can always use them as fodder for Xeno Light if the weapon isn't shit.

for the best chance at sparking: pay attention to the news of upcoming gacha changes. Check how long it will be there for as your sparks get reset with each gacha change. If it's running for longer than ~3days, keep your draw the morning of the gacha change so you can get an extra one in when the gacha changes that night. Although, it's probably just a good practice to save your draw on the last day of a gacha promotion if you're not in range to get a spark.
Tomorrow the gacha changes, so probably save your draw tomorrow until the gacha reset

So does AP or EP ever become a problem in this game? I've been cautiously spending what I have, only spending what I can get back through grinding casino and from the shop, but I have hundreds of elixirs and berries.

Half pots are never a problem as long as you have a group of three other players to slimeblast with once in a while, as the amount of half pots you get from slimeblasting is actually a fair bit more than what you invest.

Berries are, in a sense, the currency you use to bypass the wait for hosting your own raids by going into other people's raids. As you can do this as much as you want as long as you have the time for it, this makes them far more valuable, and you can blow them quite easily. With this roulette you're likely to get a lot of bronze and silver moons, which can be used in the moon shop to buy 100 berries per batch of 5 bronzes or 2 silvers.

The simple answer is to your question is that in the early and mid-game when you're leeching and grinding a lot of mats, you might find yourself short. Once you get a fair bit into HL content, however, you'll have a good amount to spare unless you grind other people's raids for days straight.

Not as easily/consistently as you can get pots from slime blasting. Also consider this, you get 3 hosts a day, but you can do as many raids as you want with berries.

I'm wrong actually. Those are only the weapons for fire, earth and water. Spear and fist are fire, sword and axe are earth, bow and staff water. You can see it in the weapon designs.

you got quite a lot of characters, even if R/SR, so thats at least crystals for legfest draws, and fire Metera is really good, for a roll outside of legfest, it's quite alright

Number 5 got off to a great start, pulling an awesome beginner character and relative summon, but it started strutting around instead of running, allowing Numbers 4 and 10 to catch up with it.
Number 8 got a bit unlucky pulling 2 Silvas back to back or it could be competing for the front spots, while Number 3 is clearly playing the long game and pulling all high rated characters.
Number 1 appears to be the luckiest, pulling the most SSRs per roll despite only getting minimum ones.
Number 7 just can't handle the pressure and it's gonne be left behind unless a miracle happens. Miracle that happened for Number 9, but the mighty 90 rolls were only filled with wasted potential.
Number 2 has apparently stopped to smell the flowers near the starting line.
It's the third day of this race and things are starting to heat up!
