Is now a good time to buy a Nintendo Switch?

Is now a good time to buy a Nintendo Switch?

...

Not unless you like Mario, ARMS, splatoon and Breath of the Skyrim

Wait a year. More games.

What are your five games? You do have five games, right? Everybody knows you don't buy a console unless it has a minimum of 5 games you have to play on it.

Wait until next year. Some good shit is slated for 2018 and it'll be more worthwhile then

Probably this, or maybe even a year and a half to 2 years for the better version to come out

...

I wouldn't get my hopes too high on a hardware revision. This…thing…is closer to the WiiU than the 3DS. The most they ever did with the WiiU was release a version with more than 8GB internal storage. I really don't think we're going to see a proper hardware revision that fixes things like the scratching dock and flimsy controller rails. More storage maybe, but that's fucking it.

Here's 4, add Zelda BOTW to them and it will be 5.

No.

There is already a thread about this topic, faggot

You're joking, right?

lmao
Yeah, it has jack shit for games.

No.

I am actually having fun with it, kidos.

fuck no

...

Go back to twitter, you dumpster bait

Don't forget!

...

Buy a Vita, better value , portability and homebrew.

Explain why do you think Splatoon 2 is a rehash just because it reuses the same engine and physics of Splatoon 1.

Fucking hell, its like 2015 and the Switch all over again, fuck.

>it's okay when nintendo does it

I KNOW THAT BULGE.

One could argue there are 5 games. Odessy, Splatoon 2, BotW, MK8D, and Xenoblades 2.

No dipshit. Why would you buy something that isn't even on sale? If you wait a while all of the two games you want to play will be a lot cheaper too. Stop being an impatient faggot.

That does not make sense. Bayonetta, Prime series, and Kirby are all from the great line of games. You should assume it's good and not already a letdown.

You're right; the switch is another meme. It's a WiiU with better marketing and only slightly better hardware, but somehow more prone to defects and errors. There's no killer app for it when it is so goddamned overpriced, I can't imagine the system getting even the dozen or so games that I can't get elsewhere to make it worth buying one.

No, unless you want one ok game and a bunch of shit. The only good time to get it is if someone gives it to you for free.

Shitload of good games are coming out for it next year. On the other hand, it's not going to drop in price, so you're just as well off getting it now as you are next year. It might get a hardware revision eventually, but that's hard to say, as most Nintendo handhelds take 3 or more years for the first revision, and most Nintendo consoles never get a real revision, so you could be waiting forever for it.

So do whatever the fuck you want; it won't make any difference. Get it now if you want Zelda, Splatoon, Arms, Mario, or whatever other games are out that you like. If there aren't enough games out on it for you, just wait. Remember, it's a console, so you're overpaying for weaker hardware anyway; only get it when the games make it worth it, and pretty much ignore everything else. The difference between a good console and a shit console always comes down to the games.

They never really do hardware revisions for consoles anyway. Wii U had a version with more internal storage, but if you weren't retarded you got an external hard drive for it anyway. NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U never got real hardware revisions other than regional differences (and the Wii Mini, which doesn't count because it was just a last-ditch push for budget sales).

The only good time to buy a console is if it has enough games you really want to justify it. If all it has is meh stuff you're only a little interested in trying, then wait for the end of its life when everything is cheap, or for emulation.

...

When's switch piracy?

Wait for the next revision that they are obviously going to make. Maybe it will have some games by then.

Delet this!!!

I go on a points system rather than a hard number of games, rating games 0-5 based on how much I want them, with minimum of 15 points to buy the console.

So far ive got 9 points
MariOdd- 4 pt
Bayo 3 - 5 pt

6 weeks from now

No prime?

Never was a fan of the metroid prime series.
I dont think is bad per se, I just dont like it.

Shit home console. Fucking godlike handheld system.

Considering it is a hybrid, that sounds pretty mediocre.

Hardly. That hybrid stuff is bullshit. I mean you could play the Vita on your TV. Compared to the other home consoles the Switch is under powered but the Switch's games are amazing and being able to play them on the move is something else.

Hardware matters jack shit anyway when it comes to consoles.

Don't get me wrong its my favourite system at the moment and just aware of what it can and cannot do. That said Mario Kart 8 is eye porn.

Very important point to keep in mind: The year is ending and you'll have to start paying for online access past it. And we don't know yet what exactly we get out of paying.

If 15$ per year sounds like chump change to you, it's not an issue. But if you're autistic about this shit, it might concern you.
And if you don't give 2 fucks about online content, it's definitely not an issue for you.

Other than this, you should look at the console and what games it has now and will have soon to decide on this.
Right now you have Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Arms and soon enough all 3 Bayonetta titles including the upcoming one.
Plus there's some other stuff I can't recall right now.
If you have no interest in any of these, especially if you already have a WiiU to play them, don't bother.
Otherwise, it's a pretty neat console, the portable gimmick is great if you travel around a lot and\or want to play with friends (the battery meme isn't that accurate, haven't had any problems with mine) and so far seems to be the only console focused on actually making fun games.
