I only played a bit of Shadow Tower, but I remember it being more dark fantasy based than body horror. We'll see either way.

I don't know how excited I would be about seeing a post-Souls FromSoft work on Shadow Tower 3 but I would be pleased to see it, I think it's a really unexplored concept. The basic idea is that the Shadow Tower rises in different time periods, so ST1 is more medieval and Abyss was implied to take place maybe sometime in the 1950s.

To be fair, King's field was the precursor to Demon souls, so you can make the argument that all the souls/bb games are spiritual successors to KF

not to mention, if this IS a Shadow Tower game, it's essentially the same thing as KF with a more spooky tone.

Wishing for Tenchu is classic Monkey's Paw stuff, especially from Fromsoft. I'd rather they license it out again or sell the IP entirely than develop it themselves.

Well, especially since Abyss did such fucking cool things with the first-person combat, I'd argue for the first time in that style of game. I loved the multi-directional weapon swinging and the way limb dismemberment affected the enemy behavior. It would be a shame to give that all up just so they could stick to the third-person gameplay they've become known for. More than anything I think I'd be excited for ST3 to give them an excuse to return to DeS' hub-level setup, I still can't believe that BB didn't bring that back.

The only two games worth playing imo. Everything else is casual or fucking engine crashing shit. As much as I like DS and all its ugly children…it never expanded upon anything except more weapons and perhaps some fluid PVP/PVE here and there.

For the most part no. I played them well after release and still enjoyed them, but it's not as though they aged like wine.
I strongly recommend King's Field II (the one on Melanat) and Shadow Tower Abyss. Eternal Ring as well, as long as they've fixed that weird fucking PCSX2 crash.
