He never lied to you, once the mojave is conquered he can turn to the promises made by that point he'll have the resources and power to do what he wills and his will is to make mankind great again you little faggot.

I was so over-leveled by that point that I went in, did almost every speech check, essentially proving him wrong in every conceivable way and then sweet talking him, then ended the conversation with the "lol jk" option and beating the shit out of him. Best DLC

No new vegas is better for that actually, as in I can play a role of a good person who tries to help his country and his fellow people, the conundrums presented to the player are slightly more complex than they were in 3 and as such is a better game to try to roleplay a good person.
That role in mind house is the best option, hes not perfect but hes quite objectively the best.

I'm really torn on nuking the NCR, while they're not legion tier its pretty plain they dont want to peacefully coexist with an independent vegas and as such they do really deserve it. Then again houses power propably is sufficient to dissuade any agression as he states once you've activated and upgraded all hes robots and thus its just a waste of livable land, resources and lives.

So by his actions which were intentional not incidental caused the destruction and near genocide ? or an entire people, not to mention the destruction that the White Legs are causing for the other tribes of Zion.

Independent is the way to go. House is 2nd best, but he appeals mostly to beta males and women seeking a strong figure to handle all the scawy stuff for them. An independent Vegas is the only choice for alpha males. The Courier is basically a god anyway, and becomes much smarter and stronger than House before long.

Dead Money was my favorite by far. Everyone raves about the Big Empty but it wasn't as good as they say.

DM was great overall, my only complaint is how obvious they make the theme by explicitly saying it over and over again during the credits.

OWB felt like a slog at times but the characters and ending made up for it. It had the potential to be amazing with some better art direction and quest design but feels similar to vanilla FNV, very flawed but creative.

HH was mostly only good for Joshua Graham, nothing else about it was particularly special or terrible.

Lonesome Road hurt the roleplaying aspect of FNV and I wasn't sold on Ulysses' motivations. I don't mind that it was linear (I mean DM was my favorite), but I do mind that it only had one character and I wasn't a fan of him or the plot, leaving only the mediocre FNV combat.

LR gives your character a backstory that you have almost no say in.

Rick and Morty is merely okay, its not genius or terrible. OWB has much more consistent characterization and a great ending/setting that is well-integrated with the characters, whereas many of the plots/settings in R&M could be copypasted into any wacky science character's show.

I liked Honest Hearts the most because it felt the most like more of New Vegas.
Dead Money was an experiment in survival horror. OWB was a "zany" bullet sponge romp with some dark undertones. Lonesome Road tied closely into the main story, but took an extremely big-picture view compared to the rest of the game, and was basically one long dungeon crawl. (Also, it tried to give you a personal stake in the plot, but undercut the role-playing to do so.)
Honest Hearts gave you an open world area that was like the Mojave in miniature, with settlements and dungeons, factions, etc. And it was the most effective, in my view, at tying into the main story in a way that felt personal, via Graham, and did so in a way that doesn't try to change the background of the character you're role-playing.

NCR gave you the package, the thing had Enclave marking on it because it came from Navarro AB (from Fallout 2) that is now NCR territory.
It's not clear whether they wanted to uses the nukes against The Legion or purposefully knew it would create the Divide which can act as a natural border between Caesar territory and NCR, forcing Caesar to either cross the Colorado at a big passage point (Hoover Dam) that they can defend or having go north all the way the 80's and White Legs territory which will take a lot of time and effort to subjugate.

I would be pissed too. All that effort just for not doing the most fun one, killing subhumans.

The NCR didn't know what the device was for. They brought it to the divide to study it (meaning, they pushed the button to see if the lights light up). That's what i understood from ulysses.
Ulysses also says that the ncr wanted to use the divide as a supply line, they didn't nuke it on purpose. It's just an other example of ncr incompetence.

Yeah, his 'ideals' had some pretty retarded parts to them when looking back to the DLC. Honestly, I had some trouble with Lonesome Road because of that but was totally enamored with the content and even the ramblings. Felt more like trying to talk down a psycho than philosophy.

I thought he was interesting at first, but it felt like whoever wrote him was trying way too hard to be philosophical without having something concise to say. Like the writer felt something strongly about those concepts, but couldn't figure out what it was.
Definitely. Looking at him as a character, rather than the result of a writer, he was just a somewhat more educated killer, using half-baked philosophy and history lessons to justify what was ultimately an emotional response, not any greater philosophy. The longer it went on, the more he just felt pretentious for it.

Ulysses just parrots whatever ideological drivel he needs to to justify his continuing existence and search for a town comparable to the one he lost.
