To give a different answer, the recent popular games in Korea are skill-based: like Starcraft 2, PUBG, and Getting Over It.
Games with microtransactions, usually MOBA garbage and gookclikers. Them and the chinks actually demand games have microtransactions so they can buy overpowered equipment. The US should have let the Northern gooks that over and starve everyone to death.

Starcraft 1 and Brood War were marvels of competitive gayman. People don't like the fact that the gooks are so good at it which is why people like to call it a "gookclick" when it couldn't be further from the truth.
