loved this movie when it came out, a labor of love from the writer? director? who only wanted to make this single movie, to tell this story, and don't think he made more after. it had a distinct vibe from other comedies of the time, like more heart and realism put into it without devolving into wacky hijinx.also gave me respect for Rian Reinolds who was the first name star to believe in the thing and sign in, which made all the other famous people sign in (i think i saw this in some "making of" scene after the end or smth, can't remember)
