Hyped at least it's going forward, seemed it was stalled at Amazon. D&D were competent enough in GoT while it was following the books, and it looks like they have a little of chinks involved who will hopefully keep the ship steered in the right direction. The books are great up until the very very end, I thought the power creep got to be too much.

>>138796113>Netflix>DABID & DABID in chargeit's gonna be a disaster

>>138796113Hyped. The books are so damn good and very hard sci-fi until the end of the third.

>>138796113This book series absolutely shat on humanity fuck yeah faggots

It's probably going to suck, but D&D did alright until they had to start making shit up.At the very least, I hope we get some good shots of the game in the first book. And I hope Zhang Beihai remains Chinese, he's just enough of a side character that he has a hope in hell.

>>138796173>>138796292The end is so disappointing. I hated Cheng Xin so fucking much, she's so goddamn stupid that it got under my skin several times. While I can appreciate the fact that she was there to stop the cycle, she accomplished fucking nothing in the end. It infuriates me to no end how bad based Luo Ji got done by it.

>>138796113>D&D>RIAN Johnson >Sci Fi>NetflixA shit pile beyond comprehension.

>>138796453Luo Ji got fucked over hard in the third book. The number one thing that persisted in my thoughts through the last 2 books is "how are the main characters still alive?". Luo could have maybe survived being a complete fuckup, but Cheng Xin? In Australia? Fuck off. She would've been stoned to death on the spot.

>>138796453Fun fact Cheng Xin was written as an antagonist.

>>138796113Couldn't be worse than the audio book. So boring.

QRD/Spoiler it for me, please.

>>138796634Aliens are bad, but women are worse.

>>138796538She should've been lynched in Australia, blown to pieces at the end of the Bunker Era and Singer's attack, and then tried by crimes against humanity by the Galactic Humans as soon as she appeared. Yun Tianming should've been the MC instead.

It's gonna be good and that will surprise people because they forgot Benioff and Weiss are actually good at their job when they give a shit

>Chink shitNo, thank you.

>>138796671Lost it, this is the perfect summary for the entire thing.

>>138796113Damn I tried reading this and it filtered me within the first few dozen pages. Just a bunch of modern chinky history I don't give a single shit about. No thanks

>>138796740The first book is a lot worse than the other two, it has too much chink shit in as the reasoning for why the whole thing starts off. Which makes sense, who else but a chink would lose faith in humanity?

The story in the third book is super kino, I hope it can be adapted well. Finally it's the payoff for the trisolarans not understanding deception

Sell me on this novel series. Spoilers are okay.

>>138796671So it's just a collection of /tvpolcel/ "cast them" twitter screenshot posts?

>>138796807*who else but a chink communist woman would cause the end of the human race?FTFY

>>138796840The whole third book feels pretty unadaptable to me, honestly. There's too much alien imagery, you can't do that shit on a TV budget. If the thing got as big as GoT, maybe. But even then, they'd slash the budget. The 2nd book is just about do-able.

Trying to read this at the moment, I really like it but I cannot keep up with the chinkoid names for the fucking life of me>ching dong said to bing bing

>>138797066It's almost impossible to remember half of them, and what's even worse is the translation likes to insert shit like "Xiao" or whatever that means "small" and is a term of honorific endearment or something, but just makes it tough to follow who the fuck is even in the scene sometimesI still have to look up the names whenever I want to post one of them.

>>138797066Unironically, I did some summaries to not lose track between chapters. The names are really fucking hard to keep track, I had no problem with Japanese novels (Murakami when?), but following with the constant chink scheme is pretty tiring. It's even worse because there's some that are just two fucking words repeated and not even those are easy to follow.

>>138797163>"Xiao" or whatever that means "small" and is a term of honorific endearment or somethingMan, I thought only fan-translators of anime/manga/JP video games like to leave out honorifics.

oh boy can't wait for black actors to be shoved in

>>138796677She isn't the protagonist.

I dropped this book during the first virtual reality game scene 'cos it was so fucking retarded. Should I pick it back up? Is the book actually any good?

>>138797184Worse the translator isn't actually that great and butchered some of the prose.

>>138797267Here's your agent Wade.

>>138797273Yes, she is. Most of the chapters revolve around her.Honestly, Chang gets a bad rap. Did she fuck up? Yes, repeatedly. But she only did what was in her nature. Everyone around her allowed her to fuck up, at every turn.>>138797304The VR game scenes are the best part of the first book, I'm sorry you got filtered by shit like dudes drying out into husks and getting fucking melted.

>>138797349this or they're going to shove a bunch of different asians and pretend all asians are the same

>>138796985>>138796840I think Singer's Slip of Paper cannot be adapted visually at all. It ONLY works as text.

>>138796113So what is "the three-body problem" anyway?

Based alien wagie btfoing humans

>>138797370>But she only did what was in her nature. Everyone around her allowed her to fuck up, at every turn.Jesus no wonder the author supports concentration camps.

>>138797424executive producer Rian Johnson and directors David Weiss and Dan Benioff

>>138797399What about 4th dimensional hijinks? Those are so confusing, it'll just be a copy of the Interstellar scene with books or something.

>>138797462>Rian Johnson and David Weiss and Dan Benioff>with these three there is no closed form solution to converge on kino

>>138797424How can a planet in the Alpha Centauri system be made permanently habitable?Because the main ayys come from a shithole world that's pleasantly earthlike for centuries, then becomes a nightmare volcano glacier desert when the stars rearrange.

Attached: blogger-image--1065108262.jpg (640x424, 30.41K)

>>138797521Given their tech level, they should have been able to drag Trisolaris out to a very wide periphery orbit of all three stars, then deal with the relative lack of heat and light by building a big Unobtanium dome or some shit.

>>138796113Will they retitle it? Because I foresee something that sounds like a math problem being hard to sell to average netflix users

>>138797424Three celestial bodies, stars.>>138797521>Because the main ayys come from a shithole world that's pleasantly earthlike for centuries, then becomes a nightmare volcano glacier desert when the stars rearrangeTalking about gravity and time and shit.

>>138797645It does sound a bit like a documentary. Calling it "Three Body" would probably be good enough, I mean that's the original title anyway.

>>138797645Yes they'll call it Star Sojurn

>>138797689>>138797691>>138797699It's a famous and popular book. That said, "The Dark Forest" is the title of the second book and does really encapsulate the central thesis of the series more than the bit of Centauri trivia.

>>138797624The Trisolarians were in an awkward place. Not big developed enough to achieve the technological singularity the major powers have but enough to be a threat unlike Earth.

>>138797370>Yes, she is. Most of the chapters revolve around her. She's a protagonist-antagonist (which was done intentionally by Liu Cixin.) The books follow her but she's intended to be the antagonist in the story of Earth humanity's quest for survival.

I got filtered by the chink names

>>138797954>be so incompetent that you unintentionally become the biggest hurdle in the survival of the speciesLuo Ji should've bashed her head in when he had the chance.

Cast the best girl

Attached: sophie.jpg (1000x707, 83.63K)

>>138798054Wade should have aimed for the head. It's his fault really.

>>138798102Looking back on it, that part is the villain talking down the hero because he made a promise or something. A half a millennia old cuck story!

>>138798056>best girlI mean, you'd first need to find a female character in the series who wasn't completely intolerable.

>>138798238That's the point though, the best girl is the alien robot geisha who murders people at random and bullies roasties

Attached: soph2.jpg (4688x2459, 3.08M)

>>138798300>best girl is the cristalization chink hate for the japaneseIncredibly based, too bad that we'll likely never get to her played out.

>>138798499I thought that was the wallbreaker Jap. It's funny, I knew something was up the second there was a Japanese character.

>>138797399Singer is giga kino

>>138796113Chinese sci fi? Yes please !

>>138798056Li Bingbing (wahoo)

>>138798499They're going to turn her into something like the Night King, aren't they?

>>138796113>netflix into the trash

>>138799056No, she's going to be Eve from Wall-E instead.
