Knowing that the show is always filmed after they already picked a house, it makes me wonder how often they feel regret when they get toured through a house that's unquestionably better than what they picked but it's too late now. It's super common that one house is obviously the best choice but they don't "pick" it for some really arbitrary and stupid reason and that's obviously because they never actually saw it before they already got their house.

>>138767755They even have weird arbitrary things they don't like about the house they actually picked. It's always something that's easily corrected after the sale. Boxy, low-ceiling houses (for energy saving purposes) that are barely bigger than a hamster cage.Houses in pic related probably cost upwards of £250,000 (about $330,000).

A guy tried to do this years ago hiding his house behind a hay stack. He was arrested, imprisoned, lost all his money and had to transfer any assets to his friends and family to stop them tearing it down by creating a quagmire of legal red tape

>>138777821You specifically asked about UK, but I'm going to answer anyway because I can't shut my mouth. My uncle did this in the US, as he understood it, he built it without permits and as he understood it, would only need to get it inspected and approved later if he wanted to sell it. If you tear it down in that time it is unlawful but not illegal. 4. I think the guy you're referring to is the guy who tried to build a castle inside his barn. I dont think any of the things you mentioned happened to him. He had it knocked down. Thats it. 5. It wouldnt be in any neighbourhood because it would be a piece of woodland miles out from any village. But the hospital doesn't give a shit, they'll perform the treatment and find a way to get that money. Also, to "be insured" does not mean jack shit in the first place. You still pay basically everything. It's there for your schizophrenia and depression medication and that's about it.>and why do so many americans die of treatable or preventable conditions due to not being afford treatment?1. They don't go to the hospital because they think they're Superman2. They die because they're obese3. most houses round here were designed when rough cast was fashionable . it's a pain when you're a kid as you can't lean against the walls but I actually think roughcast is nicer than the coloured exposed brickwork of modern developers . plus when the whole place is roughcast, starting to put up new builds in a different style looks really bad and inconsistent until the rest of the housing stock can catch up in like 40 years. but there's 1 house that replaced the roughcast with smooth plaster. it looks way more sleek and modern while still blending in. wish more homes would do that

>>138778257reminder teddie was right

>>138765282Go away, Chang

>>138780756Keep in mind in the context of this study non-utilization was primarily attributed to people not being able to afford doctor visits for diagnosis or treatment when the issue was discovered/apparent

>>138780864>>138780864I agree that a smooth finish render looks much better than exposed brickwork. But rough dash/pebble dash houses look like shit.IMO the size of the house is much more important than any of the building materials for aesthetics though. A huge rough finish house looks better than a tiny smooth rendered house. Houses are all about scale. Its hard to find a huge house that looks like absolute shit unless you want to get all pedantic and say these 100 million pound mansions in LA look 'classless' or whatever. People should fuck off with that shit because they'd kill their own parents to get to live in something like that.

>>138780094>and why do so many americans die of treatable or preventable conditions due to not being afford treatment?Because people are literal morons who think a drug will cure everything, so they make whatever poor health decisions they want to for their entire lives, only going to the hospital when an accident happens. Which, when they turn 30, suddenly happen a helluva lot, and the drugs aren't really making things "better."

>>138781135tiny homes can be neat like the ones on never too small youtube channel but that's where the aesthetics are perfected . the problem with tiny barrat new builds is they replicate the style of the larger american homes and even the slightly larger family homes that are just down the street from them in a lot of cases. houses for grandparents / childless couples / single people / 1 child families / 5 child families and any other living arrangement should all look different and not just triangle on top of a square

>>138775460Landlord here. You get a mortgage for 75% LTV, so you only put 25% of your cash in. You then set up subordinate bonds and preferred equity stakeholders to cover another 20%, getting you to 20 to 1 leverage. After paying your leverage, you have half your rent left over. You pay a lot of the rest on maintenance and taxes. At 12% rent-to-price, you break even. Above that, all of that is profit. 16% rent-to-profit gives you 4% profit on the price, but you only put down 5% of the price in the first place, get it? So take your money for one home and buy 20 homes instead. This principle holds all the way from midsize landlords all the way to megalandlords like Invitation Homes or Preferred Apartment Communities (~9000 units).Rich people and high finance runs off leverage. Debt. The big crises like now come when the music stops and everyone scrambles for a chair. Right now, AAA bonds backed by tier 1 commercial real estate (think big Manhattan office skyscrapers) have gone tits up. Without the Drumpf pump, we'd be seeing another bond meltdown like 2008. Part of the problem is that millennials love bonds too much, so all their money in bond/stock portfolio flows to unnecessary development as easy money (millennials only buy AAA bonds, not subprime).

What will become of Deano's missus as she becomes a husk of her former self fading away to nothing while watching the latest production of Love Island as she realizes people where only paying attention to her for her looks as people start paying more attention to a younger Barbie doll version of her who is an an acquaintance in their son or daughter's social circle. What will Deano Jr aspire to become, who's parents had him out of wedlock?
