Of course. If we've got a champ, feel free to come in and watch and give him something when he calls for a new team. No experience necessary, and everything's done in-browser.
When the current champ calls "new champ", the first poster to claim it is our champ. The first six legal Pokemon suggested once champ has been claimed or "new team" has been called will be the team our champ uses to battle. Suggesters are not to make multiple suggestions for a team unless 15 minutes have passed since their last request, or if the champ specifically asks for re-requests. The champ will be battling in OU unless he specifies otherwise.

Dugtrio pretty much defined stall. Stall was absurdly powerful (as usual) but there were a lot of wallbreakers that could give stall trouble. Dugtrio just happened to be a near-perfect counter to almost every wallbreaker in the game, being able to outspeed and KO them without giving them the option to switch out.
Defog fucks over HO depending on the matchup. Webs offense usually carries Bisharp or some other Defiant user to keep defoggers in check. Screens offense is usually setup heavy so you might get set up on if you defog at a bad time. Regular HO that relies on rocks gets fucked, Spikestack HO gets fucked depending on the matchup because they usually want to kill the defogger or wallbreak on the switch. Comparatively, Arena Trap is just "Fuck you, you're dead." There is no counterplay to it other than using one of the two viable stallbreakers that isn't grounded, isn't under base 120 speed, or doesn't need an item so you can run Shed Shell.
tl;dr Arena trap was banned because Dugtrio made stall stupidly overpowered. Now hyper offense and rain offense are overpowered. This is a net gain because fuck stall.

It depends on the mon, but yeah, it's still used. It's largely limited to HP Ice for Lando and HP fire for steel types when the mon in question otherwise has no way to deal with them.
It does actually work though. Toxic an enemy who isn't immune, it takes a hit. Survives because sturdy. Berry juice heals it to full. Recycle and you get the juice back. It can only be killed by negative priority, burns, hail, and multi-hit attacks.
