You could save as an audacity file itself and hand it over. I usually import the submissions into it anyway to reduce the backround noise from them. Otherwise mp3 should be fine.

Seems simple to me

If you're going to use a lossless format, use FLAC. There is no reason to ever use wav unless you are specifically exporting for a program that only supports wav.

Before you save the file, there should be an option for quality. Does your file save dialog look like this? You should be able to set a V0 quality for MP3, or Q7 for Ogg Vorbis if you want transparent quality in a lossless format. Usually I just export FLAC and recode with ffmpeg, but there's no real advantage to that (I only do it because I'm most used to ffmpeg for encoding things).

Speaking of Holla Forums sings, anyone have a good vidya playlist one can download? I remember there used to be a Holla Forums vidya playlist site but I lost that link a long time ago.

I was thinking you could use the recording app already installed on android. I'm not sure how the recording quality would be, but you could at least listen to the song on the computer and sing into the phone's mic. From there it's transferring the recording from the phone to the computer and stuff. You got people recording on vocaroo which has terrible sound quality, so recording from a phone is a step up.

So it seems youtube has an automatic sound amplifier and it's lowering the volume of the video based on what I imported it as, and I can't seem to do anything about it. The volume you're hearing now is lowered about 40% according to their stats. If anyone knows a good place I can upload the original file for people to make a proper webm with, then let me know.
