This movie and Hereditary are black comedies, the director has said this himself. The best line is after cliff suicide scene when the boyfriend character tells Dani that what they just witnessed was "really, really shocking".

I really liked the movie, except for how the main characters reacted to the cliff scene. Realistically they should have left immediately after that. I started overanalyzing the movie after that, like maybe the lead girl died after the first mushroom trip and the rest of the movie takes place in purgatory or some shit.
