Zwei 2 is kinda in the grey area. Sure there is technically two characters but they play like you are controller one character; the stats are grouped together and you switch characters instantly when using each of their attacks. It's still my single player GOTY.

I don't think Nintendo has said that the online fee will start up January first. They've delayed it before because the service isn't ready, and there's been no word on the service Coming Soon™, so who knows.
And if the rumours of the service offering a Netflix-like subscription to classic titles is true I can imagine they will make money hand over fist from it.

BOTW is comfy a lot of the time, since you're just exploring and cooking and experimenting.
XC2 looks like it will have the same deal as in the first game, with open areas to explore and treasure to find. There'll be big bad monsters to avoid, making it slightly less comfy, but for the most part you can walk around them.

Each save file is tied to an account. Same with Super Mario Odyssey. Though in BOTW you get two separate save files per account: One for normal mode, one for Master Mode if you have the season pass.

The Wii version is devoid of what makes the game artstyle unique instead it's pretty much celshading with a metric ton of bloom and blur, even the PS2 version without the filtering doesn't look as bad.

Well my opinion is that the filter of the PS2 version reduce the clarity of what happens on screen, so it works with blurry looking 480i since it's not gonna be very clear either way so might as well make the blur come from an artistic choice
But once you increase resolution you actively reduce the benefits of doing so with those filters so it seems logical that you would tone them down
That said even with the full filtering it doesn't look too bad at higher res, the low res 2D assets really hurts it the most.
