Phantom pain had a bad story, it's graphics and gameplay was decent but everything else was not. You get the choice of 2 levels, Afghan. and Africa. both of those levels are pointlessly big and unvaried and too big and too empty and don't look like there was any loving design behind them and don't have anything to do except take out a guard post or tower every few miles, the story is bad but also unfinished, the side missions are repeats and not varied in the slightest.

All I wanted from MGSV was some co-op action like back in PW. There's no reason it couldn't have been a feature when TPP came out. Just Venom Snake with some Diamond Dogs on missions would've been fun.

In Survive their heads are exploded with crystal shards sticking out. Metal Gear always was a little wacky but it never had anything like other dimensions or people being able to live without heads.

i honestly think that if Kojima was still making MGS games he would of turned to time travel ideas and pararel universes for the next game, the character timelines and the histories were important to the games and if time travel or pararel dimensions or universes were a thing in the next game/games then it could of given Kojima an excuse to retcon or twist up scenes from the older events of the older MGS games that he ddin't think were the best ideas and be able to technically change them because "TIME TRAVEL MACHINES, SON"

one thing i wished Kojima had done is, write off the first 2 metal gear games (not metal gear solid 1 and 2) as some kind of patriot propaganda movie so the patriots could throw more dirt at Big Boss, in MGS1, Solid Snake and the Cournal both say "Snake and i are the only ones who know the truth about what REALLY in Zanzibar" that line by itself could have really given Kojima an excuse to retcon certain things about Big Boss in the later MGS games especially Phantom Pain. it could have been like "if Snake and the Cournal are the only ones who know the truth about what happened in the first two games story, then what vision of the story were we as the player getting? maybe we were playing or watching patriot propaganda with the first two MSX Metal gear games" it might of given Kojima more freedom for a better story for TPP instead of bad twist at the end of the game
