Okay, lol.

Long but good

...

...

Silent Hill.
The intro for The Witcher 2 is good too.

...

What are you, a cuck? I bet you played the Dual Shock Director's Cut version.

Vid not related? That was awful, OP.

...

...

...

...

This intro will always make my dick hard.

...

one of the few games where I NEVER skip the intro

I love the re-done orchestra version too

...

...

As a kid it blew me away. I mean I knew he wasn't Tyrael but I wasn't expecting Baal.

...

...

...

Here's the redone orchestra version

I wasted money on Sonic Shuffle when it came out. The intro almost made up for it.

Or just ripping the webm from youtube.

...

Sounds like a pain in the dick.
Embedding exists for a reason.

...

...

lol lets laugh at this fag
Yes, when you can't fit a watchable webm in the file limit.

I seriously doubt it, it looks like Hudson just didn't give a fuck.

...

Too bad the game was shit.

There's a certain charm to it that I like.
That applies more to the in game models and the game as a whole

This intro alone is better than some video games.

Holy fuck youre right… I completely forgot how great that intro was…

IMO the intro is kind of haphazardly edited compared to the separate trailers the footage is from. The trailers are fantastic and really make me wish for a feature length animated film or something.

Yeah, the Tekken Tag 1 intro is still the best fighting intro I've ever seen.
Tekken 3 and Tag 2 had bomb ass music too tho

...

...

...

...

...

I can never unhear that slowdown

...

...

...

...

...

When I wanted to rebel I'd just start a fight with some spic.

yes you're going to notice a theme here

...

I prefer the one from Dark Crusade

...

...

God damnit. I'm reinstalling TA right now. I don't need this right now, user.

...

...

...

This intro really reminds me of an 80's movie trailer…was even expecting a "Coming Soon to a theater near you"

...

...

Can't forget my introduction to the MVC series…

(checked)
My nigger.

YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH

...

Heather is a cute
CUTE!

...

heather best girl

...

needs an edit where she writes nigger all over the walls

DAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYTOOOOOOOOONNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

DUBS COMMAND IT

This actually got me into Tekken…well, the intro at least. I started with Tekken 3.

Also, do main menus count?

OUT OF THE WAY, FAGGOTS!

God tier intro coming through…

...

Every cutscene in Dark Colony deserved its own Oscar.

...

tru

It's a fun game with some hiccups (Rhinox and Waspinator having Transmetal bodies…even though they never did in the show) and really, hearing Megatron saying "Genazea, Yessss" everytime you boot up the game is just a delight.

Somehow the PSP game had the best damn intro in the series tho

Shame that Harry had to die so we can get Heather.

also tru. he did his best tho

I always enjoyed losing quarters to this game.

Which is better, Jap or US?

...

/thread

Honestly, the meme was cringe as fuck in a funny way back in the day, but its so cool to listen to now. So much nostalgia and the music is just fantastic, both the original and the remix. I remember watchin this shit on ebaums like 15 years ago.

Do you like space hulk too?

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Yeah, sometimes all it takes is a good opening, or even just the right song, being posted to someone interested in a game/series. Though, hopefully the rest of the work lives up to (or is even better than) how the opening made it seem.

Mediocre game by todays standards but DAMN did that intro give me the hardest boner when I got my PS3

...

...

...

Oops let's try this one.

...

...

...

wait better version.

Also wish there was a better resolution/render of this opening. I assume either Marvelous or Matrix Software's sitting on one (I assume they didn't have it animated specifically for use with the DS screen) but haven't released it, even on promotional sites, making the only videos of it being DS screen output game rips.

...

Game where you get to be the Helghast never ever

Unreal's famous "flyby" intro was all about rubbing its astonishing graphics in your face. It was, holy shit, looks better than anything else ever before, and the game actually looks like this.

so many good openings trapped on that tiny screen

...

The screen limitations were indeed an annoyance, both with opening/closing animations and overall games that used 3D modeling (as the screen tends to make such look quite blocky). Apparently DS emulation has a means to effectively remove the screen's visual impairments and let the actual modeling really shine, but from asking in the past, that doesn't really help with reducing the problem on video files.

At best, I suppose there's asking the original companies to see if they can upload the original video files, but that's a crapshoot, even more-so when the company at hand likely isn't all that fluent in English and/or would have to go through their western branch first. In the case of Avalon Code, it would probably be a chain like Xseed (NA publisher) -> Marvelous Japan (JP publisher) -> Matrix Software (developer) -> Point Pictures Inc. (animation producer) as to trying to get the pre-DS video file out there.

On a related note, I think I remember reading that Avalon Code's "Deep Forest" and RF3's "Happiness" have the same Japanese singer.

MP4 I have of this one is too big to post.

Finally I have a reason to post this.

...

Nothing says "Traditional fantasy JRPG" quite like rocking the fuck out.

...

...

Gay.

...

I'll admit I can't unsee the Green Goblin doing a squatting shit while having a giant red and blue ribbon leak out the top of his head

If the video isn't just pre-rendered, you could make that as a mod.

...

...

It's a shame that this setting isn't as popular as it should be. Fucking love Wild Arms.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Where can i get the uncensored version?

...

...

IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS ONE FUCKING KILL YOURSELF

A classic

My negro. I played the PS1 version so much that two guns broke. I even left a record in the arcade near my old home, but sadly it's a casino now.

nostalgia/10

Was this the one that needed the expansion pack or was that turok 2? I don't remember.

I know about all the bullshit Crapcom pulled with the on-disc DLC, but how bad was the actual gameplay?

...

...

This was one of my favorite when I was a kid

...

Came here to post Soul Blade as well. It's simply put the best intro in history of vidya.

Pretty sure From dumps all their budget into their intros

Truly nothing else comes close

let me fix that for you.

...

seriously no suikoden on here is a tragedy

...

...

I don't care if it's God's own Anti-son-of-a-Bitch machine, or a giant hoola-hoop, we're not gonna let 'em have it!

...

CUM HISTORIA

...

Same. Though I'd imagine part of the reason why the setting hasn't been picked up more, at least as far as JRPGs attempting to fill the niche it left go, is because it was rather cult in the first place in Japan. Compare with how commonly the fantasy-medieval setting is used, or even shoehorned into things at times (such as how Star Ocean to be space/future centric but usually spend time on underdeveloped planets). I love Wild Arms myself, but I'm actually kind of surprised Sony let it continue as long as it did (I don't count being reanimated as a mobile zombie "alive"), given their penchant for abandoning franchises/potential franchises after a generation, if not a single game.

Annoyed that I can't find any version of that once-per-game-file "Justice to Believe" opening for WA5 on jewtube anymore that isn't stretched to shit for widescreen viewing.

Well I mostly just fucked around on my own but the Mishimas+Jin were amazingly fun.
