Why does Spiderman have so many good games?

No they were always symbols of the Jew's desire for power

no

All ✡superheroes✡ were created by jews. Superman is literally just an allegory for Moses.

yes

For years I was convinced that all superhero comic book fans are faggots, and with industry going full JWS and nobody protesting, I realized just how right I was.

It's the simplification of the power fantasy that makes them so appealing. I agree that comic book fans are cucks for not doing anything about the fall of their hobby, but this isn't about that.
I just want to discuss the videogames of it all.

I guess I just imagined the comics industry circling the drain because no one is buying the shitty SJW comics. If anything comic fans handled the SJW invasion better than we did. They just said "Alright enjoy going bankrupt" and stopped buying em.

Off to a great start I see.

It doesn't help that looking at a list of comic book writers is like looking at a tel aviv phonebook

You'd think jews would be good at business considering how hard everything the comics industry is failing. Capeshit would be 100% dead if it wasn't for the Disney movies.

I'm torn between Spider-man 2 and Arkham Asylum. Spider-man 2 had better gameplay but I love me some metroidvania and I love me some Batman and I love me some stealth so Arkham sticks out as pretty special. Shame where the series went.

Kikes are good at short term business, they're actually not too great at long term

Power fantasy? More like deep dark fantasy.

What do you even consider "long term"? Millions of years?

They've basically made critcal errors so many times that their whole empire fell apart many times
The only reason this one is working for this long is because they got given the mystical Holocaust card so can fuck up without reprive

Hasn't WB's contract with DC expired?

video games

I don't think so, all I see is a thing extending it from last year.

No, jews are not good at long term planning, idiot.

I'm worried about the Spider-Man game. I really want Pete to catch a break and have something good come out after so long, but there is a lot of bullshit so far. Miles cameo'd at the end of a trailer and the devs said it wasn't just a cameo, and of all 5 of the characters shown (not counting mooks obviously), 2 were Slott characters and 1 was Miles.

Look at this fucking list
Look at it

Humanity somehow invented electricity and internet. It can't be completely clueless. But it just keeps stepping on the same rake.

Even considering
There wasn't much of a problem with early capeshit. The issue is that things began to devolve - in some aspects, the stories began to take themselves too seriously; in others, especially today, they became politically charged issues. The worst example of this is Captain America, who spends about 30% of the time being a decent character, and the other 70% literally rejecting his own ideology to serve as the symbol of whatever the authors think is right - which is, in those instances, almost always wrong and contradictory to the character.

Thankfully, the Japs have figured out all of the good parts of capeshit and managed to bring it to its perfect states. Too bad we haven't really gotten any vidya of that yet.

Spider-Man's powers translate well into game mechanics - swinging, shooting - and he's not immune to shit like getting punched. Same with Batman's toys.

Poor Jews, they've spent the last 2,750 years being kicked out of countries for no reason. $3,000,000,000 in US tax dollars per year is a small price to pay to keep them safe in Israel, don't you think? Is there any group on Earth more forgiving than the Jews? As a white male I've only been treated like a villain for my entire life and I feel ready for revenge, they've been treated like monsters for thousands of years and the only thing they do is try to make the world a better place.

This is not even a particularly enjoyable game, but holy shit the graphics are truly something. It's really far out, far beyond the average 2D platformer of the time. It's like they had a secret book of crazy Genesis programming tricks, and they just threw it all in.

So when did Holla Forums get invaded by Christcucks?
Also A wonder woman God of War clone would be fun.

I really wish the 3DS wasn't region locked

...

Also a hack and slash wonder woman will be neat but it's a concept that too many super hero games lazily adapt.

...

So? Aquaman is a white nationalist, Hawkman and Wally West are known and admitted conservatives.

Yeah no, fuck those kike lies.

What part of Christian law permits bringing in sandniggers?
The strongest nations in the world have always had white Christian power.

Also this.

Fuck, wrong image.

i wonder when is society going to accept child molesters?

But yeah, the kikes have always wanted to spread their lies to the strongest nations, it makes the most sense. It's why whenever I play civilization I choose a kike and win the game by converting everyone around me along with making gold.
Either way Christianity is a cuck religion that makes beta bitch boys.

When Sharia law has been properly implemented

Now I know you jestin
How many strong athiests can you mention?

All I said was Christianity is a cuck religion though it's an object fact that non believers have higher IQs and make more money in the West than christ cuckers do. There is also Japan which is the 3rd biggest economy in the world and knows how to make good vidya.

So you're telling me that trannies, gays and dead weight comedians are smarter than the many great Christian men who have produced great works of art.
Also are you aware that Japan wouldn't be where it was today if not for the influence of Western media (at the time).
The Japanese are great, but their losing their edge, falling populations and high suicide rates are plenty. The only thing saving them from ridicule is their strength to keep sexual factors alive in their entertainment

This sounds very problematic, im going to make the publishers aware of this.

It's an objective fact that Christians are dumber and commit more crime than non believers, Japanese spiritualists, Hindus, ect. They are the niggers (Or spics if we call Muslims the niggers) of religion. It rots the brain and is based on a story of a man getting cucked. Outside of all that it's such an obvious kike lie that anyone with half a brain should be able to smell the bullshit.

You know how your digestive tract is full of good bacteria that keep the bad ones from taking over and fucking up your health? Christianity is like that: even if it is nonsense, it's good to have it around, because its absence leaves society vulnerable to far worse shit, like communism and islam.

He also hates commies and refers to black people as "Their kind".

I always wonder what Western civilization would be like if Christianity didn't replace the old pagan religions. Probably something like pic related

Sounds about right

Proofs?

sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160289608000238
I guess Anglicans are the exception.
fivethirtyeight.com/features/are-prisoners-less-likely-to-be-atheists/

Of course Baptists are dumb, they have lots of blacks.

So appealing that nobody is buying the comic books and the sales have been declining for decades.

This is confusing
If their IQ is so great then why is society the way it is today?

This is objectively false. Comic book sales are at an all time high for the last 20 years. It's Marvel that is doing shit. They have literally been lying to Disney about their comic book sales by giving away or forcing extra comic units onto stores and using that to artificially inflate what they call sales numbers. In fact comic book retailers just called them out on that bullshit.
oneangrygamer.net/2017/10/retailers-take-marvel-to-task-over-sjw-comic-books-at-new-york-comic-con/41642/

...

Did it dawn on you that Christian IQ is the result of missionary work?

Jews are history's victims and if you can't recognize that then you're a Nazi - that's going to result in a punch to the face or a prison sentence, depending on how much the Jews have improved your nation.

This is the Christcuck equivalent "FUCK YOU WHITEY"

How does missionary work lower your IQ?

You might be shocked to learn that this is Holla Forums and not Holla Forums.

Okay, don't piss in my mouth and say it's rain. If you're going to post a series of charts and tables, make them fucking related. The table and the IQ chart are based off of different data. Even if you subtract the standard deviation from the mean IQ in the third chart you don't get anywhere near the Baptist/Mormon numbers in the colored chart.

All you've really proven at this point is that whites are usually of average to above average intelligence, and every other racial group drags down the average IQ of their religions.

Also that christcucks are dumber but that's ok if you can't accept it, after all most Christcucks still don't accept evolution.

Missionary work is literally going to the poorest countries on Earth (the dumbest) and helping the poorest people there (the dumbest) in order to convert them to your religion - that's going to affect your group IQ.

You guys do realize that this kind of shit is why national socialism by the only political demographic that might possibly adopt it right?
I mean that's good for me since I'm not a nazi but ya'll are just pretty much beating you head against a wall at this point.

no niggers allowed

Frank Miller wrote one of the depictions of Captain America ever in Daredevil and he still never got a real crack at the character. Pre Goddamn Batman Miller of course.

Kill yourself Comic Code asswipe.

*best depictions

That's caused by race, not religion. If niggers adopted Shinto en masse, Shintoists would be very dumb and very violent on average. Compare apples to apples and Christianity comes out looking pretty good (of course, Christianity should be believed because it's true, not because it's expedient, which is a point lots of contemporary rightists don't seem comfortable with).
Kikes are still so buttblasted about getting BTFO by Jesus that they won't even use ordinary plus signs in Jewish schools, because they look too much like the cross. The word "kike" itself comes from illiterate kikes who refused to sign with an X and used a circle instead. They are defined as a people by their ancestors' rejection of Christ.

comichron.com/yearlycomicssales/postaldata/1969.html
Comic books can't even dream to reach those numbers nowadays.

With great power comes great PIZZA

DR CONNORS CLASS

Superhero comics and tales exist to erase our old tales of heroes. There is no reason to watch Batman fight some fag who also plays dress up when you can watch Jason and the Argonauts. No reason to read Jewish tales meant to be replace our classics.

Superheroes are not just jewish garbage, they are plain garbage. If you ever thought any of this poorly written bugman bait was entertaining, you should do one good thing in your life, neck yourself and save us the trouble.

>Batman Arkham asylumarkham city
Fuck Spider-Man actually had some good games….
will the new one be good too?

No you don't. You wanted a barely disguised Holla Forums thread. Just look at your OP.

This is like opening with "in a time before mods weren't lazy and we were cool, we used to dump child porn. Let's discuss ways to be cool." then going "wait guys, it's not about child porn at all! I just wanted to be cool again~" My point is, OP always being a faggot seems to be a universal law.

Except you are wrong as shit. Comic fans are far more anti sjw than "gamers". Just last week during comic con a bunch of people roasted marvel in fucking person. You don't see that shit in vidya.

Kek, look at this like shill.

My hero academia is just mediocre cape shit only liked because its made by the japs. The average person is too casual to get into comics because it requires context so only knows about comics based on the retarded shit marvel does and somehow that speaks for every comic company including Judge Dredd, Goon, Priest ect despite them being very anti sjw.

And, you got trips too.

What?

This is some hardcore denial.

Marvel is in deep shit. They have been lying to Disney about their comic sales. During a retail only comic event with marvel the retailers tore into them for reporting fake sales and for replacing heroes with diversity quotas that don't sell. Marvel stormed out pissed saying that they will always make comics that "reflect the real world". Word got out though and Disney now knows what happened, how pissed retailers are and that marvel has been reporting false sales.

any footage of it?

Reality is irony

No, marvel made sure there was no cameras because they were smart enough to know there would be legit complaints but there are multiple transcripts of the event that confirm it.
There was also the huge controversy where marvel writers tried doxing a guy from Holla Forums who has the YouTube series "diversity in comics" because his whole channel is about shitting on marvel SJWs.

...

Why is every character, especially wonder woman, a cunt in Injustice 2?

...

Wait you mean Marvel has been selling even less than what they're reporting?
Fucking wew

red skull seems like a good guy these days as well.

I'm sorry for the political bait, I was trying to bring back the childhood nostalgia so posters won't come in and start saying 'comics are bad now, why do you care XD'
Looks like I was wrong.

The swinging really looked off and the I despise the fact that the game tries to be like arkham city. Which is ironic since Spider-man should've technically started the stealth genre first.

Dude, their just comics, no one takes them too seriously.

Barry isn't. He is a cool based uncle and I will storytime plastic mans GOAT comic if the thread is still up when I am home.

But my titties
I don't know whether to blame NRS for jumping in bed with DFC or DC.

Also, IIRC, the Arkham combat style also began in the Batman Begins video game (Which also had stealth elements in it). Actually, everything the Arkham games did was already done somewhere else. Not saying it's a bad game, but why does the title receive such large amounts of praise then (Aside from getting Kevin and Mark to do the voice)?

You've just answered your own question.
Aside from having better production values in general, city also had a great cast of writers and actors. There were various villains, Easter eggs and references present in the story that kept comic book fans hooked till the end. It's like a current marvel movie in video game form, but without the SJW clutter and nonsense.

Roasting seems like a pussy way to get your points across.

I remember kind of liking that game. Although I can't really tell you how it played or what it was like.
The stealth elements were basic but not as basic as arkham.

So, the first two MCU films (Which are still the strongest ones in the entire franchise).

...

Close, but not quite.

Isn't that the same series that made a Nigel Farage stand-in for Dredd to beat up? Because I explicitly remember that.

You mean to say:

I won't deny that there aren't good comics out there. However, the biggest issue with most of the stuff that's quality in terms of writing, in my opinion, comes down to the portrayal of heroism. That's not a matter of capeshit - that's a matter of the west. In movies, TV, comics, and everything else, it is virtually impossible to find straight examples of "heroic" characters, without having to deal with politics and other bullshit.

That is what makes MHA nice - the main protagonist is someone who actually wants to help people, to surpass is his own limits, and to do all of that other cheesy shit that western media mocks. Think about the "lel capes are stupid" shit that's been pushed in the west for years. Then compare the above.

In essence, people like it because it's a reconstruction of the things they saw as kids when they looked at capeshit. Which is somewhat amusing, considering that it often gets lumped in with OPM, which is a deconstruction of shonenshit.

I'm not saying there isn't some cancer, like for instance:

This shit's pretty obnoxious, but par for the course for normalfags.

On the other hand:
This is pretty much the point. I don't think anyone has ever claimed MHA is unique or pioneer in what it does - it's just retreading ground that has been, for the most part, abandoned, in favor of this:

Myself, I don't follow enough things to consider myself "full" - I'd love if someone could point out a western series that was willing to actually play all of this straight.

Is that fucking arc over yet

Studios will turn it into another TPS user with special moves and quirky XS weapons.
Please be responsible with your memeing. The phantoms newest comics are already hard boiled manure.

Astro City

Seriously its pretty much a reconstruction of cape stuff without the bullshit

Why not bring up Holla Forums's recently made rec list?

Why live?

Clarissa is supposed to be dramatic? I always thought it was supposed to be a dark comedy.

Hey that list is actually pretty good

I'll look into it.

Has tomo made any progress yet?

>Classes Clarissa as drama and not horror or technically comedy

Dropped. Has Holla Forums really become that disappointing lately?

America has about as many heebs as Israel user, when you getting around to kicking them out?

>tfw there will never be a good bio booster armor Guyver game

Thanks Britshits. You couldn't clean house pre WW2 and the world is still collectively paying for their apathy.

Also do people still play city of heros?

dead

An actual muslim female would take Cape-shit to a whole new level. Call her Black Trash Gal.

No, but we will never forget and will play it for eternity within our hearts. Never trust a gook.

That's basically the entire damn storyline of Injustice where Supes went so fucking full retard he was doing all this shit and wonder slut was stroking his dick the entire time while supes yelled lois' name in bed.

Also City of Heroes is dead. If you didn't play it during it's height then you will never experience the best MMO ever made. Too bad.

You have no-one to blame but yourselves user.

The yids bought Britain after lies about the French vicoty.
Maybe you should read where the Rothschilds made thier money and who gave them the shekels to buy out a hole country.

Pro tip. Its wasn't Britain
Expert tip. It was in Frankfurt

What?

Nolan's Batman is the only good superhero, all the other heroes can go eat a dick

Comedy? I thought it was supposed to be erotic.

The mom is too depressed looking for it to be erotic. It would like fapping to an ugly Charlotte from the Rugrats.

That movie was fucking gold.

Fucking kill yourself already, Holla Forums! Holy fucking shit. Day in and day out and day in and day out you fuckers are still here still fucking killing this place. Why are still here? Nobody wants you here and nobody will ever accept you here because your all retarded pieces of shit that keeps shilling cockmunism day in and day out and day in and day out and day in and day out and day in and day out and day in and day out and day in and day out and day in and day out and day in and day out. Kill yourself already, jump off an bridge, choke and mudslime cock, drink bleach, go to a black neighborhod or anything really just fuck off and leave this place alreayd holy fucking fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck shit fuck

See and kek gave me trips too so fuck off already Holla Forums

Mixed messages, at most the mods don't seem to mind unless they are turbo faggots and open up with shit like "As a communist…"

The Rothschilds are small-time. It's easy enough to think that the banks are be-all, end-all of power, but things aren't that simple.

Holla Forums is right that the world is controlled, and that a disproportionate amount of its owners are Jewish. Jews control most of the money because of banking - but not the most assets. Just as Soros is a Rothschild puppet, most of these yids just move the money and assets around for the ones with the real power.

True, but base it on the older stories, like going from the 1st to the 21st Phantom of fighting crime would be kinda cool. Make it a stealth-action game where you can strike fear in your enemies with your symbols and shit, depending on location like if you are in the djungle, you can utilize the tribes to help you out, or Hero and Devil.

Could have been a fun game. Especially as you fight Pirate Captains or explore the catacombs in Rome after the death-skull ring.

I miss Agent X9/Agent Corrigan, Rip Kirby, Garth, Johnny Hazard, Johnny Puma and Donald Duck though.

No Blueberry either.

Jews created the modern left.
Leftists are the cancer infecting gaming.
Holla Forums is Holla Forums.

Who gives a damn about the mom?

Spider-Man 2 for GC is the only super hero game I really remember having a lot of fun with.

pedo shit is gay as fuck.

This isn't Holla Forums.

That one spiderman game I had on the DS was entertaining enough.
The crazy shit you could do was satisfying enough, though some enemies were huge damage sponges.
It was my first game on the handheld.

You give him too little credit. He's a hand of the Rothschild's, and a big player on his own too.

They also created Holla Forums user. How can Holla Forums be owned by a jew?
Holla Forums is a jewish scapegoat made to turn people into beta's who can't reproduce

A few people mentioned Injustice 2 so I am going to story time it. The Plastic Man issue who is the best hero you probably never heard about.
Context, Superman decides Humanity is too stupid to be trusted and decided the only option was to become a dictator and send everyone he doesn't like to the gulag.

You misspelled reddit.

Good shit, user

Thanks user.

You are right. Reddit actually is mostly white people.

That was a good read, thank you user. I actually got a couple chuckles out of it too. Also plastic man makes for some great reaction images.

Liberals are awesome and christians are faggots. I fucking hate the alt right and the conservatives!

Either Ultimate Spiderman or Spiderman 2. 2 has fantastic websinging but Ultimate is more or less a playable comic. Web of Shadows was also really good.

never played it yet
but i played the SNES one and holy shit the sprites are too good
similar games are Batman The Brave and the Bold for Wii

...

Completely different games, though. The SNES one is much slower paced, the Genesis one is frantic like a Contra.

The level of cognitive dissonance that comes from the left never ceases to amaze me. They would never show "Africa for Africans" or "China for Chinese" is such a light but never stop trying to delegitimize and outright demonize white peoples right to have a country to themselves… worst part is that most liberals are white and are actively working towards their own extermination.

What is it that makes white people so different from other races that they collectively subscribe the suicide cult called leftism? No other race on earth could be convinced to demand their own extinction?

American progressivism functions as a replacement for religion, and the closest thing to spirituality it can provide is the good feelings progressives get from waiving a gold brick in front of starving third-worlders and seeing them jump for it. Aaw, they just want to work hard just like us, we're all just one species after all.

What is wrong with this? Isn't literally every country for that countries people? Spain for Spanish, Russia for Russians?

Welcome to hell.

thanks user

Thanks user! An actual good comic in the current year! Who would have thought?

Crackdown

Quit shitposting on Holla Forums you tremendous faggot and come play 40k

Reminder that Plastic Man is getting a team comic in a few months where he is literally tied to pics related.

Yeah and the first videogames and this board were made by kikes. What is your point?

Incorrect, because that is literally Booster Gold's tagline. I'm mostly kidding, Plastic Man is great.

I read a lot of things, Manga, Novels, Comics. I like to read. Even your shitpost was decent, better than Civil War 2. I would give it a 4/10.

Post it. This board needs something good and caustic to scrape the faggots off

There is also fire storm and Blue beetle. DC has many of the best heroes they don't actually want to promote.

Autism.

Shh, you'll blow the retard's mind by introducing such concepts as nationality.

I wonder if you are a hardcore weeb mad people like things other than just Jap shit or if you really are autistic and would burn all the household products your mom uses every day if you found out they were made by kikes.

Wrong person, user.

Yeah, I was gonna talk about Booster gold but my brain got side tracked when I saw the pure autism in front of me.

Just filter the retard and move on.

just filter ID+

...

This is as close as they've gotten user.

Did anyone else find him to be really disappointing?

...

Red hood really embodies what I hate about batman. A pretty good story that ends in joker wank and the shittiest NO KILL rule enforcement possible.

Pretty good game.

hi faggots>>13596953
feggit

The fuck did I do to you?

I have always disliked superheroes shit.

My fav ones are edgy ones like Batman, Punisher aka the logical Batman, Hulk, Wolverine and the Lobster from Hellboy.

Sephiroth and Shadow the Hedgehog are my favorite heroes.

He fucking razed the whole city with an army just to be pull a hell-face turn within 5 minutes… FOR FUCK SHAKE!!!!

After the Bat was captured the rest of the game should be focused arround the Knight finding out his errors, Redhood born and go to save Bruce!

P.S.: And it would be time for a Arkham Asylum tier Superman game to redeem him. (For the low-IQ faggots here: And i don't mean edgy as AA, i mean good and playable as AA)

Judge Dredd has been around for years and has parodied both sides for years as well. Calling it bad because in one comic has a Farage stand in makes you a faggot.

Also its clear you don't know what you are talking about. The characters in MHA are just the most average shit. You don't see actual heroism that compare to shit you see in The Flash, Kingdom Come, Captain Marvel, ect. No where in any fucking shounen has a character grown as much as Wally West or had to push forward in the same ways. Just admit you are too fucking casual.

...

Nigger WHAT

Superman being an allegory for Jesus or Moses or really anything else is very much a modern idea. For nearly the first 50 years, Superman just fought gangsters, mad scientists, and aliens. I'm sure Siegel and Shuster gave some interviews over the years where they claimed it was deep, but it wasn't. It was entertaining pulp action that very slowly became sci-fi. Outside of the origin story it took like a decade to even reference that Superman was an alien.

Nowadays there's all sorts of religious stuff and Nietzschean stuff and stories about how Superman is a real god in the real world, but even those, while memorable, are rare. The average Superman story even today is about him fighting aliens and doing sci-fi shit.

On the other hand, Batman is a reincarnation of Jesus. So there's that. Batman is the Fifth World reincarnation of Orion, who is the Fourth World reincarnation of Marvel's Thor, who is the Third World reincarnation of some Egyptian god or something, who is the Second World reincarnation of Jesus. Everyone always thinks Superman is Jesus, but it's actually Batman.

WB has owned DC since the '60s.

The numbers have been tanking since the '90s for many reasons, but the biggest problem is that a monopoly, Diamond Distributors, distributes every major (including the "indie" companies) comic. Archie is pretty much the only one that isn't distributed by Diamond, and despite their legendarily horrible management, they sell gangbusters, because they're sold in grocery stores, instead of only in specialty shops, which you would only visit if you were already a fan.

The thing is, Marvel's SJW turn in the last 2 or 3 years has made the decline become even steeper than before. Back in the late '90s, the industry imploded and everyone figured they'd only be around for a couple more years, but they limped on. But now, that limping wasn't enough. They decided to chop their own legs off. The highest selling comics today sell similar numbers to the lowest selling comics of 20 years ago, and 20 years ago was already in the midst of the comic apocalypse, when the bubble burst, and every comic book store, and Marvel themselves, were going bankrupt.

That said, the success of the movies and tv shows clearly shows that the concept isn't what's become unpopular. It's the business model and Marvel's current efforts to actively push away the fans.

Comic book "journalism" was the first thing to be pozzed. But the books were normally not. Note that Overman, the Nazi Superman from the universe where Superman landed in Germany, is a good guy. The Superman from the universe where he landed in the Soviet Union, however, is a bad guy, albeit a sympathetic one.

Regarding your first pic, I don't get how Isis can be Muslim when her powers descend from Shazam and Egyptian gods, so she knows for a fact that Islam is wrong. But Marc Guggenheim openly said he's doing it specifically to spite Donald Trump, as if he's watching The CW every week. I'm sure he's really invested in the adventures of Heat Wave and Captain Cold.

There's plenty of old stuff to read. And the issue isn't that modern comics are just shit, it's that they're so incestuous and autistic that it's impossible to start unless you've been reading back issues since at least the '80s.

This is exactly what superheroes are, outside of rare cases, like current Marvel. People talk shit about Superman and then describe him exactly as what you described.

Many works since the '90s have been all about reconstruction. Kingdom Come being the most notable. But I'll give you that some of those efforts failed. The most interesting being Infinite Crisis, which was literally about reconstructing the DCU of the '80s, and has a boy from the real world of the '80s, Superboy-Prime, come to the DCU to do exactly that. In the process he kills the original Superman from Action Comics #1. While he creates a world similar to the old one, he finds it isn't actually the same one. Note that writer Geoff Johns is himself an ascended '80s fan, and Superboy-Prime, becomes a self defeating author avatar, with the story essentially wishing that things could go back to the way they used to be, but arguing that they cannot, and that attempts to do so are only destructive. This is perhaps informed by Johns' earlier revival of the dead hero-turned-villain Green Lantern Hal Jordan, which angered legions of fans who had grown to love his replacement, Kyle Rayner. In a way, it's a deconstruction of reconstruction.

But old shit is better anyway. Same with manga.

Yes, but that's not why people talk shit about superman. Some people don't like superman because they see him as this invincible god character that can solve every problem easily if he tried. There's no physical barrier that holds superman back, only mental or moral ones. That's a problem with writing superman, a lot of his writers were shit that could only think of him fighting active, physical threats while a lot of good ones revolve around him dealing with people treating him as a god or not being able to save everyone. That's not to say he's a bad character but I can see why a lot people don't like him when they only think of the physical barrier
So yeah, while Superman and Deku have similar personality traits, I think Deku is a more interesting character for a lot of people because his limits are much easier to portray and sympathize with as a reader compared to supes
Deku is pretty fuckin shitty for most of the series so far and his growth pattern is clear. First he learns how to use his power at all, then without breaking his limbs, then develops a different way of using it than the person he learned from

I wonder what Marvel's comics would be like today if Ultimatum never happened.

It's sad that Astro City has the best Superman story, and they didn't even have Superman to do it with.

You got called out on your shit and can't make a counter argument. My Hero Academia is to superheroes what Naruto is to Ninjas. Weebs are fucking plebs.

So the whole origin story of “being of a far superior and godlike race being put in a basket and given up by his parents to save him from a cataclysm to be raised by lesser beings” thing… totally not related in any way, right?

My counter argument is the webm, retard. You claimed there are no heroics. There's CONSTANTLY heroics.

I DON"T UNDERSTAND
THIS IS A COMPLETELY SENSIBLE STATEMENT IN EVERY WAY
WHY ARE THEY TRYING TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE SOME FRINGE CONCEPT?

This is proof you know jack shit about Superman, he ONLY has superpowers due to the radiation of Earth's yellow sun, Krypton had a red sun which causes kryptonians to be just as frail and un-powered as humans. Lack of yellow sunlight over prolonged periods of time will slowly weaken his powers as well as reverse the effects of red sunlight.

I've had this idea for a Super Friends game for a while now. It might seem weird to think of, but hear me out.

You have two teams, one the Justice League and the other the Legion of Doom. Each hero and villain has a set of abilities that can be used individually or combined together as a group to create elaborate combos/traps. For example, objects could be frozen to walls and ceilings by Captain Cold and broken up by a remote bomb from another villain like Lex Luthor, so you can drop heavy items on heroes and incapacitate them. Each round would be recorded, and played back like an episode of Super Friends, where there would be a role call of all the heroes and villains being played followed by the setup phase, the the match, and finally a safety tip at the end. It would be really fucking cool and it will never exist.

because the idea of having borders is racist to leftists.

Last time white people were allowed to do that they conquered the whole planet. Leftists believe in equality, so the only handicap that will keep white people in check is to shit all over them ALL the time. Because everyone else is inferior.

Her superpower is going around murdering innocent people, and then compelling white liberals to defend muslims on twitter.

And jews aren’t actually better than the goyim. Congratulations; you’ve successfully completed the analogy.

So is he invincible or does he deal with physical threats? People complaining about Superman just haven't read or even watched his stories. Superman, like everyone else, fights threats on or above his level. While Batman more often deals with serial killers getting a few dozen people, Superman deals with people destroying cities or planets, but ultimately superhero stories still boil down to people punching each other. So yeah. Superman also has all the philosophical shit but it really doesn't come up as often as you'd think. Those stories can be good, but it's not like that's all he does. Usually it's just Brainiac coming to earth and Superman has to try to save Kandor again or something. And that's just fine.

However, you do express a major difference between western superheroes and eastern superheroes. Eastern superheroes are frequently about always getting stronger and using that new strength to defeat the new super powerful villains. Western superheroes are usually shown with a defined set of abilities that are relatively static, and the story is about using wits to figure out how to use those abilities to defeat the villains, rather than simply becoming stronger than them.

Superman's origins were barely ever referenced in the Golden Age. It took until the '50s, with sci-fi becoming much more popular, for the writers to capitalize on it. By that time Joe Shuster was long gone, and Jerry Siegel was only writing the occasional story. Those two certainly didn't seem to have much interest in Superman being an alien. They were just two teenage nerds who grew up reading pulp crime and sci-fi novels and semi-plagiarized a few into something that happened to make other people (but not them) a lot of money.

Now that's not to say the origin story was not at all influenced by Moses. It was one part that wasn't ripped off of Philip Wylie's Gladiator, though whether it was simply ripped off from some other novel, I don't know. What I do know is that while those guys work working on the book, they almost never referenced this origin story. And it's not like back then kids were expected to read every issue. If you were to pick up any issue of Action or Superman from the '40s (meaning not the #1s, which were from '38 and the only issues where the origin was referenced), you'd have no idea Superman was an alien. He was just a strong guy who fought gangsters.

Also, Kryptonians usually aren't shown as a superior race. Most stories indicate that their culture ranged from evil conquerors to decadent fools who pretended they didn't need to care about the universe around them. The very earliest implied it was like a utopian future earth, but that was actually dropped relatively quickly. The point is, it is usually shown that earth's morality and upbringing, specifically his American, Kansas upbringing by the Kents, is what made Superman a good person.

While Superman Returns was a pretty mediocre game with some fun elements, the soundtrack was positively god-like.

I hope if those rumors of Rocksteady working on a Superman game (and if their recent tweeting spree is anything to go by, they're close to announcing something soon) are true, they get Colin O'Malley to do the OST again.

But is Arkham Asylum playable?
Are you actually playing Asylum are you being led by the nose through everything while broody music and high quality voice acting plays in the background?
You don't fight in Arkham whatever, you simply press a button and that's about it. Before you mention any other action game, any other action game requires you to have timing, spacing, strategy, variety, anything. You don't just press LMB and dante uses his ass boosters to go a large distance just to punch some fucker and you sure as shit have control over what move you actually do in other games.
The world's greatest detective is reduced to fucking assassins creed vision. These fucking segments don't even make sense without the giant leaps in logic magic capabilities of the batcomputer or whatever the fuck it was, and the one time where it wasn't just follow the breadcrumb trail(Origin) and you actually had to go back and forth inbetween time to figure out trajectories and whatnot it was still easy enough for a baby to figure out and even the hud thought so little of you as to need to mark the trajectories in bright red the second you start rewinding in time, and if you take like 2 seconds or so the game thinks you're having an existential breakdown and decides to show a hint.
The one part good about the gameplay of the arkham games was arguably the gliding and movement. And even then I would much rather play prototype or hulk ultimate destruction if I want to stay in the air near indefinitely as my main method of movement.

Timing is the one thing that Batman combat is about. It sacrifices everything else to make the combat wholly about timing. It's basically a rhythm game.

That said, if you're going for high scores then you might be encouraged to use the other moves and actually add some variety, which requires a small degree of strategy. I'll give you that spacing isn't much of an issue ever though.

But the timing is essentially just for critical hits, which makes the game even easier.
In fact all the gadgets, upgrades and whatnot make the games much, much easier because when you get down to it the games have 0 difficulty with the exception of the medals in the challenge modes.

Not quite. While City, Knight, etc, did make the Bamham combat cheap and easy as fuck, Asylum is actually somewhat challenging, especially on Hard difficulty. Not Blade of Darkness level, mind you, but not as mindless as you're implying.

Actually, one thing I liked about Asylum is that it avoids precisely that. Batman has a limit to the distance he can leap to punch some asshole in the face and if they're too far away, Batman's just going to pointlessly flail and ruin your combo. From City on, though, it became exactly what you're describing.

Knight did make better use of Batman Vision, but I agree that it was still pretty cheap. That being said, it's kind of a necessity in Predator engagements unless you want to die fifty times in a row, but that's just an indictment of how poorly thought out the Predator mechanic is in the Bamham games.

I haven't played knight because I stopped caring after Origin.
Honestly he might be written better in comics but I fucking hate how movies and games decide to suck the dick of the joker so much. I wonder if they're going to go for Harley Quinn next or what.

Was the hard difficulty the one that turned off the counter prompts? In that case alright, it was slightly harder.
Yeah but the enemies are always pretty close to you anyways.

Both, that's what I meant. It's very easy to just say the stakes are raised and let it go to a fistfight. I think they're doing it right now actually in rebirth by having superman and crew fight against zodd and his group of villains. They added the twist of having him go blind at the end of the last one I read but I imagine that's not going to last too long.
Yeah, probably. I'm sure there are people with legitimate criticisms of superman as a character but a lot of them are just casual fans
What happens when you do that for 50 years though? Eventually you run out of things to fight that are on your level and above that aren't completely retarded.
Japs do this too mind you. Dragonball super is a fucking shit show because of this kind of powercreep.
Even then, you can still make that interesting. I talked about this a bit ago with some people I know. A lot of western comics have very boring fight scenes. Action tends to be very un-engaging despite having really no limits on that other than time. When's the last time you read a comic from the big two that just had a really good fight? I see a particular punch all the time in comics. A wide as fuck, planted feet, hook usually with the lead hand down. And maybe I'm just autistic for noticing, let alone caring, but it feels really shitty because I know it can be done better. You only see the other guy reacting from being hit instead of the actual hit. Hajime no ippo has some serious writing problems but at least when a guy gets punched in the face, it looks like he feels it

The Arkham ones

.

Forgot images because I'm a FAGGOT
But anyway look at both of these. Which of these look like they hurt more?

That depends, when's the last time Ted Kord actually fought? The original Doomsday fight also comes to mind. I feel like there's a more recent one on the tip of my tongue, but I can't remember what the fuck it was.

DC is pretty much shit, with every single show championing Cuck Troadu mentality "if you kill them, they win!"

The whole schtik about how it takes great inner strength not to kill, even when the villain repeatedly kills thousands.
In reality, heroes are weak assholes who don't want to get their hands dirty and prioritize their piece of mind and morals over the lives of thousands.

I'm sick of that shit.

Go eat dick.
Comic superman is shit. The best superman was Justice Leage one, because he was more grounded and weaker. Enough of that "tanking 10 supernovas" bullshit.

...

Superman hasn't been that powerful since the Bronze Age, though. His modern day **power levels" are more in line with his appearance in Superman TAS and Justice League.

The only good thing about DC is Justice League and Batman TAS, DC itself is shit.

Hit the nail on the head. They always try to show these people who refuse to kill despite an increasingly long list of why it's better for them to do so as some sort of heroic act but it just comes across as narcissism to me, characters playing characters with a contrived exit from any situation.

Batman always feels like a meme character. Aside from a few notable exceptions, characterization for superheroes is terrible. Their established principles fade or change at a whim as well. Characters like Faramir from LOTR are great because their actions show what they say, even in situations completely out of their depth. Characters like Batman have to have everything focused around them, ruining worldbuilding along with plot.

We had a thread about this a couple months ago. Basically, it'd be very difficult to put such a game in a proper city, because in addition to super speed, The Flash has super reflexes, and you don't. You might have slightly better than average reflexes as a result of regularly playing video games, but you likely couldn't account for the number of things that would appear in your way without already knowing they're coming.

Modern Sanic games work that way because they're courses that follow level design, and have a clear path to the goal laid out for you. But in a superhero game, there would just be a city, and collateral would matter. You'd have to be very clever to inject speed-friendly level design into that city, and the game would have to handle dodging most minor things for you, similar to how Ninja Run works in MGR:R.

Holla Forums-tan died of pony CIAids.

the only it would work if the game was 99% slow-mo for everyone and everything except the player, who moves at normal speed.

Slo-mo can occasionally be a useful tool for showing fast things in cinema, but it doesn't provide you with the raw joy of controlling speed. They're completely different sensations, and trying to make the whole game that way completely misses the point of why anyone would want a speedster game in the first place. For example, in VTM:B, Celerity is an extremely useful power, but it's not particularly fun to use. From a practical standpoint, it's no different from casting Slow on enemies.

You go eat a dick. Superman was the worst thing about Bruce Timm's otherwise serviceable DCAU output.

Like marvel alliance? Check that out it's similar to what you want

You're the casual fan I'm talking about.
There was an episode of that show where he tries to sandbag shazam for no reason other than being jealous that he was getting popular. Supes is such a prick that shazam leaves at the end of it. Sure as shit doesn't sound heroic does it?

...

What the fuck
CODEMONKEY

Superheroes are faggots.
Only guy I liked was Dredd. Not really a "super hero" as an exceptionally talented and heroic cop.
Sadly, he has no good games.

What is the appeal of superheroes? I'm not even talking about the Jewish shit. They're so lame in so many ways. The way they dress is ridiculous, their powers are usually silly and the most popular ones have an extremely bland backstory with the only exceptions being overlooked or made fun of like Aquaman.

They appeal to weak sacks of shit who keep telling themselves "I'd be able to make a difference if I was strong!".
Superheroes are cancer, that way, you ask me. I don't mind the stories, too much, but fucking hell, anyone who 'looks up' to them is trash.
The best heroes are mere mortals, weak, but strong of will, who overcome the odds not through luck or divine favour, or circumstance of birth, but by will. The only abilities they hold are the ones they honed through their own dedication, their own struggling, rather than just bestowed upon them without merit.

...

t. Lex Luthor

t. Batman

I fucking hate America's shield.

Batman was only good because he was lucky enough to be born with a shitload of money. That's literally the only reason he goes anywhere. Money.
Terrible hero, besides, as he never actually makes a difference. He just tosses guys in jail that they escape in a few days.
Fuck, the guy's supposedly bankrolled the Justice League, built their spacestation, and everything. He funded an actual impactful lot. But meanwhile, in his own town, he just punches the same people forever.

There is none. From a corporate standpoint, they are easily marketable as they are an already existing property, from a cultural standpoint they are "old" which appeals to the sense of tradition but they have no intrinsic value of their own. Even back in 60s you had Scrooge outselling most capeshit.

Not that user but you have shit reading comprehension. He didn't say that at all. He said not on the level of other comics. Weebs can't comprehend english.

Gotta say though, I like the idea of heroes not being super special snowflakes and heroes actually needing to struggle in a work environment with property damage, casuality counts and rival that some anime employ.

Marvel artists can't draw for shit.

The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Captain Marvel, Ect have all killed their villains before. Batman has literal autism and that is why he doesn't.
In fact you are posting a picture of DBZ, an example of which is a far worse example of a character who tries not to kill people no matter how retarded.

Wally was the slowest Flash for literally over 15 to 20 years in real fucking time and in the comic and had to push himself all the time and deal with real fucking problems "How will I pay for medical stuff when I get hurt, how will I afford to eat with all the calories I am burning, How will I continue to go to college now that I am a superhero?". I have yet to see a single shounen deal with that. Wally is far more relatable and realistic and therefore his struggle actually feels more real.
Captain marvel (now called Shazam) was a homeless boy who could transform into a super hero but outside of that cool shit with no parents he spent his youth homeless or in foster care talking to Hobos and doing odd jobs.

You were wrong. YOU were called out. Do you have anything of substance to add to the discussion about the metaphors in comic books and the ✡people✡ responsible for them?
You have absolutely no idea where you are, what D&C is, or what is currently happening to the video game industry. Shill for kikes somewhere else.

Well then you do a Crisis and reset everything. Redo the origins again. There are like six or seven versions of Superman's origin at this point. But they're all pretty good stories.

But more important than this, styles change, creators change, and everyone brings their own thing to it. We talk about Silver Age Superman and Post-Crisis Superman and Modern Superman, but they're all the same guy, it's just different creators with different styles. Golden Age Superman is technically a different guy but his basic history still applies to Modern Superman so it's the same thing.

Well yeah, I love capeshit. There are tons of ways to make it interesting.

I think your point about western fight scenes is largely due to the way artists are hired and how eastern vs western comics are produced. There are a couple great modern western comic artists, but most are forgettable, and Marvel seems to be purposely hiring shitty artists to save money. The great rise to the top but they can only do so many books.

Eastern comics are typically written and drawn by the same person, with a ton of assistants helping. So this gives that artist greater control over what they draw, while also allowing them to focus more on things like the dynamics of the fight and letting some intern worry about backgrounds and stuff. Also, it means that if a series has shit art, it's probably not as popular and nobody hears of it. But in western comics, a great artist might get moved onto a comic people are less interested in, while Spider-Man is drawn by some tumblrfag, giving the tumblrfag more exposure.

Batman has pretty much the strongest no kill rule but even he shot Darkseid that one time. The others prefer not to, but will do it if push comes to shove.

There are always excuses that largely acknowledge the problems you bring up, too. Like Batman is afraid that if he started he wouldn't be able to stop killing because he knows that he's got psychological issues regarding control and such. Plus, if he started breaking the law too hard, Gordon would have a harder time looking the other way on him, and would have to have the cops take him down. And at the end of the day, it's the state's fault for not executing the joker despite having the legal authority to do so.

It's autism. DC has the deepest lore of anything ever written, including every religion and mythological tradition. Marvel is close behind. You can get lost in this world and constantly explore more and never finish reading everything. There's always more.

But even when characters have superpowers, the stories usually are about the will required to use them correctly. And they fight villains with superpowers so it all evens out.

Lex Luthor thinks he is the Superman, because he has the will to power and overcome conventional morality to make his own. But is he really making his own morality by giving into greed and selfishness? Are those not traits that have always been with us? Or is Kal-El, in promoting life and individuality, making a break from past morality driven by warring groups and selfish, short sighted desires? The ubermensch does not have to do with physical strength, but mental strength. Kal-El is strong, but he's small time compared to the omniverse shattering tasks handed to him, and heat vision isn't even much of a help against a god or the Anti-Monitor.

The original Batman died in the '70s after retiring and marrying Catwoman. The original Robin died in 1985. The original Superman died in 2005. There are a bunch of characters whose stories did end.

And aside from that, there are plenty of non-canon stories that are about endings. Original Superman creator did an "Imaginary Story" of The Death of Superman in the '60s, one of his last Superman stories. In the '80s when they did a semi-reboot, they capped off the original series with another non-canon ending. It was another Imaginary Story, but aren't they all?

Name a superhero and I can name his day job, which is usually a fairly important aspect of the stories. There are also always ways to deal with property damage and casualty counts. Lex Luthor became president after cleaning up the property damage in a big Batman story, and Marvel has a whole series called Damage Control about cleaning up after superhero fights.

Injustice 1 is the superhero game I spent the most time playing. I'm miffed Lex Luthor isn't in 2, but I'm waiting for a Game of the Year type edition for 2 anyway and not sure who plays similarly to Lex.

Also don't forget the absolutely OBSCENE workload expected of them. No one can survive being a mangaka unless they're REALLY passionate about it.

Amazing man, you're right. Turns out having 20 fucking years of comics will develop the Flash than a 100 chapter Manga that has to focus on a ton of different characters. Even then, those moments exist, but they're never the focus, because HeroAca has an actual story it's focusing on.

...

The long running nature of many superhero series can be part of what makes them so much fun. The way characterization and continuity develops over time is what makes it so powerful. Wally West being a good example, as the most successful ascended sidekick. You have to be mega autistic to get a lot of it, but if you do, it can be really cool. To see minor storylines or bit characters become important 30 or 40 years later. To read an entire character's run and really see them develop as a person. As much as people talk about Superman being different under each individual writer, if you read the stories in order, it's a slow evolution, also known as character development. Golden Age Superman stories do read as very different from Silver Age, or Bronze Age, or Modern Superman stories, but if you read them in order, there aren't jarring shifts. Just the world and characters develop over time.

Yeah, I love long running comics as well as HeroAca. But judging HeroAca as a weak story because it lacks the elements that are Western capes' strength is disingenuous at best. Plus, the characters in HeroAca are literal children. On one hand, you just won't get those moments, at least for another 150 chapters because they have their shit taken care of for them. They don't need to worry about paying rent. but instead you get to really focus on how heroic they are. They repeatedly go out of their way to break rules and laws that could ruin their future as a hero to help people, because unlike the adults, they're actually that heroic.

Plus, if you read the spin-off, which is about a college student, and old dude, and a young girl, they actually do have those moments. The main character lives in an illegally built house on a condemned building because he doesn't have the money to pay for anything legitimate.

Plenty of good western comics are about children. Superboy and Supergirl being two obvious examples, even though they made Supergirl an adult in the show, but an adult who acts as if she has the mind of a four year old, because they don't know what the fuck they want.

Robin is a fan favorite who has had very long running solo series in addition to guest starring with Batman.

Power Pack is a popular one, even if on this site it's just known for lolis.

Hell, Jimmy Olsen had his own solo series that ran for like 200 issues and introduced Darkseid and everything.

Accurate for anything not 40k.

The part that's inaccurate is the series getting cancelled and coming back in a speculator boom. They just don't get cancelled. Also the movies that are more successful are the ones that tend to be more faithful. But they're faithful to the good old ones, not the new shit ones, which are described accurately.

Eh, I guess. Though, not always. They certainly lean towards the character from older ones, and avoid the latest shit like the plague.

What runs are you talking about in specific?
I have a mighty need.

Yes, and I'm pretty sure the reason most people love them is because it's fun to see kids be that badass. My main point was just that these characters rarely need to worry about normal life shit like how to pay for stuff. Generally they go through the same vague "This dual life is ruining my life" all heroes go through. This doesn't happen in HeroAca due to cultural reasons. The only characters that have to deal with this shit while being children are generally Shazam and Spiderman. And Spiderman doesn't count entirely, because the whole original concept of him was to be a teenager who was forced into adulthood way too early.

Even though he's king SJW now, Waid's Flash is great. Morrison and Johns also have acclaimed Wally runs after him.

Check out The Power of Shazam! miniseries by Conway. But a lot of the best stuff is really still the golden age stuff. The original Monster Society of Evil story is maybe the best golden age comic story ever.

Original Spider-Man just goes to high school and shit and doesn't really act like an adult. He has teenager troubles, and isn't that different from when Robin would get a solo story back then. The only thing is that these stories were before Marvel Time, when characters aged in close to real time, so Pete starts going to college only a couple years in.

Flash is still the coolest dude. Even in Injustice 2 he's got a cool character select animation.

Even incredibly early on, Peter is shown worrying about how much money they have. The comic in particular I'm thinking of has him stalk May to a pawnshop, and freak out because she's pawning jewelery that Uncle Ben gave her. I'll see if I can find which issue it was, but I'm pretty sure it was from the 70s or so.

But that's still child/teenager stuff, worrying about your parents, who try to shield you from the difficulties of life.

But also by the time Spider-Man was around issue 70, which would be in the late '60s, he was already firmly in college and stuff. The original creator, Steve Ditko, wasn't even working on the title since issue 36, which was already after Peter graduated high school. By the '70s, Spidey had accidentally killed his girlfriend and his best friend was on drugs because his dad was the green goblin and his girlfriend kept hitting on Peter. We were firmly in the Bronze age and not really what I'd call early Spidey anymore.

Ultimate Spider-Man is probably a better example of teenage Spider-Man, since it always operated on Marvel Time, so he actually stayed a high schooler for much longer. Again, he has to deal with all sorts of real shit, on account of his friends getting killed and their dads being giant goblins, but it's all on a backdrop of going to high school and stuff.

Spidey, teenager or adult, was always very much a slice of life soap opera with lots of action elements. Same way the Fantastic Four was always like a comedic family sitcom with crazy sci-fi elements. Incredible Hulk was also described as a soap opera in early issues. A lot of the most successful series worked out because they were spins on what people see as the cliche superhero story, throwing superheroes into a different genre than the pulp and sci fi action fantasy that all the earliest revolved around.

...

Well what you pointed out is right. That they are actually fucking kids and they don't go through the day to day struggles of adult. However in HeroAca being a hero is actually a profession and tries to explore that with some of its older characters. Half the adult characters are shown doing other manual tasks when not on duty and some run businesses selling their names as brands. They're rankings are determined by performance and popularity. Its stated in the very first episode that being in the center of attention grants you greater benefits. The show does what its name is, train individuals for a real life of a profession. It looks into all kinds of stuff like licensing, internships and what not.
The fundamental difference is one tries to be realistic and gritty whiles the other is optimistic and heroic. Although as it goes on more and more dark themes are uncovered.

Booster Gold is awesome.

Embed unrelated.

There was some DS game.

There was a god of war clone that sucked major dick.

Actually, that's a good comparison. HeroAca is basically a world of Heroes where being early Booster Gold is the norm rather than looked down on.

A superman game could be like Prototype.
Story starts with him losing all his powers and you buy them back slowly over time (so you start out with really early superman stuff- just jumping, only able to lift a car, etc) and as the story progresses and you buy more shit, you get better. Until after you beat the game and infinite eyebeams/frostbreath, can't take damage, one hit kills, are all basically cheats you can buy and toggle on and off.

The downside is- in a sandbox- collateral damage is expected (and almost encouraged)- how do you avoid that?

No, that's shit and wouldn't be a superman game.
It's been posted multiple times that a Superman game would be about using the correct power level to solve issues. You would be able to adjust how strongly you're punching shit, and play at that power level. Sure you could punt a purse snatcher through 3 buildings and solve it instantly, but you'd kill a man and destroy a bunch of shit in the process. So instead you would have to worry about solving a problem fast, while still not wrecking everything.

Some user posted the idea of giving the city a health bar instead of Superman. You have to try and stop crime all around the city of differing powerlevels, but you can't let the city get wrecked too fast, and that would be your main losing condition, along with killing people or other shit.

Why not make superman his usual super-duper powered self, but make the challenge of the game based on a) avoiding collateral damage as much as possible (counted in dollar signs, like a reverse Blast Corps) and b) accomplishing tasks in a time limit. Allowing a civilian to die is an instant failure. These metrics would contribute to a ranking from F to S(uperman logo)

This could scale up from a simple bank robbery (don't bust up the walls, knock out the robbers quickly since they can't hurt you.) to "Lex Luthor is doing something nefarious behind several walls of kryptonite" This scenario could be beaten by throwing heavy objects at the kryptonite walls to bust them down. The interesting part: there are expensive heavy objects near the wall, like historical statues and empty cars, and less expensive items in the city park a block away, like boulders. The player would have to decide between time vs money in order to keep both below par and achieve an S-rank.

There could also be dangerous enemies and boss battles that actually pose a mortal threat to Superman. This could tie in with the ranking objectives in unique ways, like "Darkseid's energy blast is easy to dodge, but where I dodge it matters, since I don't want it to hit a civilian or something expensive, so I have to mark out safe places that I can go to as soon as he charges it."

THAT'S CAP? JESUS HE'S SO FUCKING JACKED

...

I'm more impressed by the chin, honestly. He's got a chin that rivals Dredd.

Even just Morrison's run has more development and there are many shounen that have been around for 20 years+. Stop being a casual and read more shit.

Alright now hold up, this is the man who can perform surgery after reading a medical textbook in half a second. Supes is more than just a fast chad, he's got insane brainpower to match.
Though I guess if Lex Luthor can outsmart him, it ain't out of the realm of possibility for a human.

Did I say a medical textbook? I meant every relevant medical textbook to the procedure he is performing. All done in half a second.

Yeah but when they decide to give Superman super-intelligence (which is really only a power he has sometimes, when the writer feels like it), it's frequently portrayed as being able to think and learn super fast. And Flash is faster.

That describes manga and any long running vidya too.

Mark waid run starting with "Born to run", Morrison's run which is issue 1 and Johns " Blitz"

It sets off my autism that he uses Barry despite it being a Wally game.

who this

Holy shit. That progression of concepts makes me think they actually knew what they were doing. RIP.

That goddamn fish face, I swear.

What in the god damn is wrong with you? If you keep supporting capeshit it's going to continue to be sjw trash. What's wrong with you? Let it fucking die before you have to read a comic about Superman and Batman sucking each other off for Allah.

...

It's autism attempting to be a contagious disease.

Also, he didn't say he was trying to get them to read modern Marvel or anything. Sales of new comics are a very different matter than reading old ones. And honestly I think the easiest way to get casuals into it is with pirating comics online, anyway.

Not all comics are Marvel you stupid weeb. Unlike Western vidya most comics still have sexy girls

Holla Forumsfags are literal subverted retards, it's the reason why their board was the first one taken over by commie niggers.

Post 'em

Sounds about right.

Oh right and DC introducing a new Muslim hero is soooo much better. Consider suicide for following this commie trash.

I find that pretty sad tbh, but not unexpected.

Holla Forums was too trusting. They prided themselves on being friendly, unlike the rest of the site. Big mistake. Should have been harsh like /a/. That said, the major SJW infection of the board was through the cartoons moreso than the comics.

Ultimately comics are still a medium where some of the most respected, loved, and influential creators are people like Steve Ditko, Frank Miller, and, for a more recent example, Ethan van Sciver. I'm sure SJW Marvel wants to, but they cannot erase the influence of people as huge as Ditko or Miller, no matter how hard they try.

If you're referring to Isis on Legends of Tomorrow, that's not DC Comics, that's some faggot who runs the tv shows and makes them all about his waifu Felicity. DC Comics are not as SJW as their adaptations, while Marvel's adaptations are not as SJW as the comics.

But I don't understand how they're gonna make Isis muslim. I thought she was Black Adam's wife and got his powers from him or something. So she knows for a fact that power comes from the wizard Shazam, channeling the power of egyptian gods or whatever SHAZAM stands for for Black Adam. She knows for a fact that ancient Egyptian religion is real, and not Islam.

But yeah they'll probably butcher her so it doesn't matter. She was pretty cool in 52 though.

Why do you keep giving them the benefit of the doubt? In what universe did they ever deserve it? You talk about Holla Forums being too trusting, but you're as bad as they are. DC will butcher anything and everything if they have to, same as Marvel. Even if they claim they won't, they most assuredly will. Even without political bullshit DC can't write a story with any actual consequences outside of an elseworld. You're wasting your time, enabling commie trash, and ensuring with absolute certainty that you will live to see your heroes destroyed.

...

Go back to your containment board faggot

You are a retard for getting CWs TV shows and DC mixed up. There are literally many anti Commie heroes.

Oh are you going to claim they're not DC properties or something? Who gives a shit if it's the comics or the shows as long as it's bloody well happening? You're a god damned tool you know that?

Look, cockfuck, you were proven wrong. Just admit you were wrong. It’s not hard unless you’re a liberal, a coward, or a mental defective. The previous statement has been brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department.

GTFO

People who read comics idiot. CW is trash.

Oh right so it's fine to support someone as long as they only stab you in the back while you're not looking? Fuck off.

Here's the actual fucking quote of that user faggot. Because you seems straight out of kool-aid juice and have to retort to name calling and only close yourself in the hope people will follow, fuck you posted a bunch of times and apart of copy pasting from Holla Forums you never added shit to this thread. As he stated you know jack shit about comics other than da jew owns them so they are ebil!
But keep going, derail a perfectly good thread with your political shitfest surely it will improve the quality of he discussion....oh, wait it doesn't.

Because the status quo is god. Even for SJW Marvel, the only reason I'm not wholly convinced the regular status quo will come back shortly, is because I'm not wholly convinced that Marvel's comics division will even continue to exist in a year or two, given how fucked their sales have gotten.

This is always brought up as a complaint against long running series, yet it doesn't stop me from enjoying plenty of good stories over the years. This argument wouldn't just mean that new stories are crap, it would mean every story in these long running series has always been crap, since the series continues. But in that series, I can still enjoy plenty of good episodes.

He was trying to point out that Batman and Superman aren't under the thumb of SJW Marvel. There's a bit of SJW influence getting to DC, definitely, but what's going on with Marvel right now is simply insane and absolutely unprecedented.

The comics are their own division and separate from all the other stuff. WB owns DC and licenses out their characters to other divisions within WB. The comics division has no control over anything. That's why the movies are always so different from the comics. Even when they get Geoff Johns to do a script, the producers change it and Johns, despite being the bigshot at DC that he is, has no control over it.

Marvel is a similar situation, except Marvel Studios was started as a part of Marvel Enterprises before they were bought by Disney. So they have more connection to Marvel Comics, but are still a separate division. You can see this with how SJW shit has barely infected the movies, outside of Spider-Man, but that was not an actual Marvel Studios production, it was Sony, and was the last gasp of Amy Pascal, who got fired after her emails leaked revealing that she did things like literally wait until the day Harold Ramis died to greenlight a new Ghostbusters, so that Ackroyd wouldn't be able to do the stuff he wanted to do, and she could make it an SJW piece.

Marvel Comics can be shut down and Marvel Studios wouldn't be effected in the least. Considering how casuals frequently don't even notice that comics are even still published, and even fans now just hate what Marvel Comics had become, Disney probably wouldn't even get that much bad press. It would be seen like a mercy killing. In fact, that's a theory I've heard that makes a little sense. Let Marvel Comics run themselves into the ground, shut them down, and maybe, if Disney is feeling crazy that day, have Marvel Studios start publishing comics, which would probably be much better at attracting casuals, since Marvel Studios cares about the bottom line more than SJW shit, and has shown they can attract casuals much better than even pre-SJW post-2000 Marvel.

What? He just said CW is trash. He's not supporting them.

Now if you want to argue you shouldn't support WB overall, that's something you can argue. But you haven't shown that it's DC's fault in particular.

I see. So I've misunderstood. In that case don't support WB. Makes sense right? Don't support the right hand of the beast just because the left is giving you a hand job. Simple yeah? The fact that there are even portrayals of these characters that are sjw shite that are allowed to exist is enough regardless of who is to blame for it. You're still tools desperately clinging to stories that circle the drain time and time again only to repeat the process in another universe. It's trash with or without sjw nonsense, but it's especially trashy with it. It's never going to go away, because comics will never not be a bastion for the worst kinds of autists imaginable.

CW is not DC stupid. I guess I should hate a good book if it has a bad movie too.

If the same character you've come to love is pushing some commie shit in other media then perhaps you shouldn't support the parties involved. You don't have to hate it, but you damn well shouldn't support it.

Wally West the ultra conservative Commie hater is pushing communism? Where?

Oh so characters in the show introduced the Muslim? You can dodge the issues all you want but at the end of the day you're just as stupid as all the fallen at Holla Forums. You all deserve everything that will happen and has ever happened to the "heroes" these corporations are pushing.

But Alex Ross (The guy who did your pic) has also done work for marvel.

If you want to say WB is an evil corporation and shouldn't be supported, I find it hard to argue with that. I'd even say DC is still evil for similar corporate reasons even if we were to separate them from WB. The history of the comic industry is the story of gangsters and shysters ripping off talented kids who got paid pennies for creating cultural icons that made billions. The creators of Superman were treated like any other employees, they got no royalties. And when Joe Shuster went blind and couldn't draw anymore, he had to become a mailman. DC's HQ, at 666 Fifth Avenue, just happened to be on his route. Every day he'd see their lobby covered in pictures of Superman, including pictures he drew, and knew he wouldn't get a dime in royalties for any of it. They eventually sued when the 1978 Superman movie came out, and got pensions, but my point is that this is only one example, of the guys who created fucking Superman. Everyone else got ripped off even harder. Bill Finger, the true creator of Batman, was never credited for it until Batman v Superman, and it was shit. Needless to say he didn't get any money either.

So DC has always been run by money grubbing shyster gangsters, and so has Marvel. But they were never particularly SJW, until Marvel in the last two or three years.

So you have to retroactively hate the original Star Wars because the new stuff is shit? Do I have to hate Hercules because there are tons of shit movies about him? Or Dracula? Or Frankenstein? Do I have to hate every video game that's ever had a movie based on it, since every video game movie is shit?

The muslim character Guggenheim promised hasn't been introduced yet. But it wouldn't really matter to the comics. There are shit adaptations of all sorts of works, but it doesn't make the originals bad.

I dont give a single shit about a teen drana channel you mad weeb. I guess I can't enjoy JoJo's because it got shitty adaptations too.

Dude, that's not even one of the better girls out of the show.

He's not the one completely incapable of realizing that the CW shows do weird shit with the characters, especially Legends of Tomorrow. They basically only use small time characters DC gives not a single shit about, because DC won't even pay attention to what they write.

Too bad they don't use the best ones. Firestorm is pretty cool but no
These are the small time characters they should be using because they have dedicatef fans despite being unknown.

ATOM was supposed to be Blue Bettle, which is why he isn't really ATOM at all. In the early season of Arrow they even had "Kord Industries" be the target of many of the villains. But he was big enough that they needed the OK to use him, and they revoked at at basically the last possible second. So they couldn't rewrite the part to be about ATOM, they kept the genius tech guy aspect and replaced every instance of "Blue Beetle" in the script with "The ATOM."

Boostergold would work, but the other two wouldn't. Plastic Man would require too much CGI (Which is why they removed Ragman off of Arrow, even though he was dope as fuck), and The Question is too close to Batman, which is a heroes they've been desperately trying to pretend doesn't exist.

Legends of Tomorrow was clearly supposed to be a Justice League International show, but ironically, the Justice League made up of C-listers that nobody cared about ended up becoming popular in its own right, so now that this show has to use C-listers that nobody cares about, they're no longer allowed to use the JLI.

They openly admit that Ray Palmer was originally supposed to be Ted Kord but they weren't allowed to use him. This is why for his entire first season in Arrow, he does absolutely no shrinking. It was written for Blue Beetle.

"White Canary" is obviously a stand in for Black Canary. They barely ever even call her the code name anyway, and given how shit a character Black Canary is in Arrow, this version is better anyway.

Rip Hunter is a colossal fuckup time traveling fraud, so basically he's just Booster Gold, a character he's strongly related to anyway.

Captain Cold and Heat Wave work as stand ins for Fire and Ice, at least as far as powers go.

Firestorm and Hawkman/Hawkgirl are the only ones that aren't incredibly obvious stand ins for others. And even then you can argue that Hawkgirl is just Barda, if Hawkgirl actually acted anything like her comics incarnation, anyway.

Green Arrow is like Batman and it's the entire reason they use him. Arrow wishes it was Nolan Batman so hard. It's also why Green Arrow was a main character on three and a half seasons of Smallville, because they wanted to use Batman and figured he was close enough.

Weebs will continue to obsess over generic shounen trash without anyone knowing of the great shit that comes out of France.

Which is stupid because Ollie doesn't act anything like Bats. Ollie is a hardcore hippy faggot with a personal grudge against Hawkman. Ollie is the classic rich liberal who thinks he is morally above everyone but that is why his character is so fun.

Which makes it funnier that it's not until season 6 until Ollie acts remotely like Green Arrow, and instead is !Batman for the entire planned run of the show.

Now you did it.

That is literally what they did in Superman 64.

Evidently not if he went blind.

Well blind enough that he could no longer make a living as a professional cartoonist.

It's what they did in Superman Returns. Though frankly, the idea of saying the game takes place in a virtual world, like 64 did is a decent way of getting around the problem of collateral damage. I want to be able to kill random people, if I so choose. Maybe I lose points or whatever, but it should be a possibility.

Green Arrow and Hawkman make a good duo because of their love/hate relationship. They bicker and fight but they're ultimately still dedicated to the same cause and work well together.

But CW Hawkman is merely a plot device for Hawkgirl, who was written so horribly that they dropped her plot entirely, even though they were building up what was clearly going to be a season arc about a Thanagarian invasion.

Why not just research real mythologies then? They're less retarded, more consistent and have some actual application to real life.

Why not just play real sports then? They're less retarded, more realistic and they have some actual physical application to real life.

Really does explain why i get everyone else's mail delivered to my home. They hire blind fags to deliver it.

Well fuck me.

Damn language barrier we are even shit at making our own stuff become famous
last comic

Real mythologies don't have as much content. You'd think they would, but you don't understand the amount of content comics have. They also have more plotholes because the people doing them weren't autistic enough to care. People talk about comics having plotholes, but if you look hard enough, someone was always autistic enough to write a solution to them.

But really the other thing is that once you get started, you're incentivized to read more, because they always refer to more. And a lot of modern comics go overboard with this and make it ridiculous and too intimidating even for me, but there are still plenty of old ones that have given me tastes of other series, though crossovers and references, and made me want to read those series, so they're still on my list.

Nothing is cooler than having a random thing that happened in a random comic 30 years ago that you read as a kid.
