I've been using that small part of the river someone suggested earlier in my fishing webm and it's pretty good. I also found this spot to be ok, but it's easier to fish in shallow waters.
Pro tip: when trying to catch a mawfish, aim at its head, not the perceived center mass.

And I think DE fucked something up in the graphics department, everything is either too bright/misty or too fucking dark. Turn off High Dynamic Range and/or Adaptive Exposure to get rid of pics related.

The new content is so fucking awful and buggy, I felt like shit playing it every time.

Honestly, the only good thing in this update is being able to fish. I don't think I give even the slightest shit about anything else they added.

It is the only grind that is rewarding so far too, mining is not fun, nor gives enough standing to even make worth, fishing at least nets you 500~1000 per 10 minute, more than you would get from bounties.

I'm really stingy with my potatoes, the only weapon I used it on before this was my Tipedo.

It's actually the only reliable and consistent way to get standing, since bounties are so incredibly buggy it's unreal. So far 9 out of 9 times the goddamn fucking drone escort has bugged out with the drone either going off in the wrong direction and never reaching the objective, or has fucking gotten stuck in the middle of nowhere refusing to move from it spot. Completing bounties at this point for me is a fucking crapshoot as to whether I get a goddamn drone objective or not.

So freaking stingy to use only two potatos so far on weapons? It is not that freaking difficult, there are mods out there that can net you 15p, and you can get potatos bps on sorties, how even are you going on late game with no potatos?
And use forma, already used a potato so use a forma, at least for the split chamber, your lack of serration on it is disturbing and why are you using viral, corrosive is better on armored units, and toxic/gas would be better on corpus.

I'd rather use all my available mod space to get to crit/status/firerate/whatever than plain damage, it usually works out better. I'll put it on my Crit build though, it's a little TOO fast for me.
I'm still unlocking planet nodes for quests and honestly, it's more fun for me to make/level new weapons.

Well I must be really lucky then, i never had the drone fail the route, and outside the pinpoint accuracy of the fucking grineer on the whole freaking other side of the map, I just had to deal with the incoming volley of enemies on front of the drone, as any other side was just impossible to accompany, and on high level stuff, they are unable to do enough damage to actually kill the drone, lv 60 bounties you just have to pray that the drone doesn't get stuck. And you don't get a defend the point map, as those are unreliable to know where the fuck are the enemies droping your holding on the area.

Then i recommend astilla, arca series, pandero, kulstar, staticor, lesion, hirudo and redeemer for the fun.

Whoops, I was going to add how the amount of restarts doubles or triples when compounded with the shit-show of trying to do something as complicated as co-oping with a friend.

Wow, thank god some of my bugs have at least been beneficial, like enemies spawning on structures above me during a defense so I have less to worry about.

So far I've submitted 8 crash reports. Usually from completing an objective.

"Just plain damage" allows you to actually kill things and preserve ammo on such bullet hoses you stupid nigger. In all my experimentation on builder there is virtually no weapon that "gets better" by excluding its damage mod.

I can see you're very new so let me tell you that you will never stop doing that. One of the only things to do at endgame is grind your MR higher and higher while seeing how all the other weapons work. You do the daily sortie, and go back to whatever you were grinding before, which is usually multiple things.

I've had no crashes, but plenty of short freezing in coop.

Just don't bother with bait, you can't freaking tell if it works, or if you got lucky on the spawn rate, it is a waste of points, just get luminous dye to get those night fish, as it is really fucking difficult to see those fish, you get 10 while being a cheap recipe and each has a duration of 2 min.

Out of all the crashes that i had were in cetus, that thing already blue screened me 3 times, it is about a infinite loop process, pretty sure it is related to others players rendering, and cetus on it's own is really bad optimized.

Hammer shot is more like a "last resort" mod, it's average damage increase isn't good, I only use it if there's really nothing better. In this case you can drop it in favor of serration without thinking twice.
Split chamber, Point strike and vital sense are great.
I think you are good with only one fire rate mod, I recommend dropping vile acceleration, but it's up to you.
Put a single elemental +90% damage mod in it. More than one will give you diminishing return on damage multiplier, but 90% bonus damage is great in almost every case.
One or two dual damage+status mods. Pick which element you like to proc most. I usually run corrosive.
That leaves you with one more "quality of life" space, you can then use it to put hammer shot back on, but more magazine capacity would be good too. Let's you hold your accurate stream for longer. Plus makes you feel like Jhon Rambo

Jesus fucking Christ, the plains are Ubisoft-tier shit. It's 90% open field, or hills, with pinpoint accurate enemies, who can see you through trees, shurbs grass etc.
Hopefully, the next open world map they make will be a rainy grineer city, or a ruined orokin city or some shit. Warframe just doesn't work with wide open fields, or big rooms with no cover. who am I kidding, it'll be Antarctica or some shit

Serration provides the biggest bonus of any mod you could put on it short of Heavy Calibur, which I want to recommend alongside it, but I don't know how much it'd fuck with the alt-fire. Status does not matter if the enemy is already dead. Status is for when the enemy will not die easily.

Always dark, and bleak except for the unnatural lighting from various tumors and shit. Roving packs of chargers running around and giant behemoths in the distance that are big enough to go inside.

I play it because I find it fun and don't really cares what the devs do on the forums.

there's so much random shit that eats up formas and they're time gated to hell. Unless you're a good goy save them for crafting clantech weapons, and wait until you get some gg riven or find yourself a raifu to put them on something.

Returning player here from before melee 2.0 with a few questions, Is this shit still op enough for all content or status is no longer broken? I want to finishing forma my vaykor marelok and have no idea about what weapon or kind of damage is op, also any fun melee weapons to grind for?

Status is still strong but if you really want a meta gun go for Tigris Prime or a Vaykor Hek status builds.
See pics for Marelok builds, one cheap and one needing many prime mods.
For melee, go for a Lesion if you want to rank up some mastery fodder on the way, it's a nice late-game polearm with pretty absurd double procc if modded right. Otherwise Galatine Prime if you want pure dps.

Shit build. Quanta Vandal is a beam weapon, therefore it uses Status Per Second and not normal status, so just go for +90% damage mods instead.

Increasing status chance still benefits weapons that use status per second by increasing the likelihood a status proc occurs each second. Your advice here is shit.

What PoE gives so far is small things, if you just like to dick around in open space like skyrim or far cry and the like, fish, mine, sometimes go eidolon hunting just do it.
The bounties that are the new missions, can be simplified on kill x things in determined area before timer runs out, scout the drone, and find 3 caches on time mode, that is it, you are just getting now options to choose how long things take to die, being from level 5 to 60. And be prepared to get very laggy as 4 years in, they still can't optimise shit.

status beam builds are nice for hosing mag, viral or cc procs everywhere, not something like corrosive where you'll never apply a meaningful number of stacks.

It's actually pretty newfag friendly. Just start it up, don't pick mag as your starter, and the star chart will guide you along. Just make sure to upgrade your mods and put them on everything. If you're unsure, just ask the thread.

You can work on your reading and saging skills while you wait.

As the other user said, just follow the star chart and complete planet after planet. Learn how to bring out your inner jew so you can earn plat through player trading. If you really need to buy play, wait until you get a 50% or 75% discount from your daily login. Start modding your frames and weapons asap, try to max mods, look up builds and/or guides and remember this: Grineer and infested: use corrosive to remove armor. Corpus, use magnetic to remove shields.

Skip plains, do the start chart and come back to the plains when you feel that you are at endgame. You need to do two certain quests before you even can access one of the factions.

Mostly just follow pic related and try to ignore late game lore like everyone else does.

pick whatever frame you find the most qt and use it. use it no matter what any of the other fags say

Just got into this game, is it fine to just play how I feel, or is there a cookie cutter system where if I don't play as everyone else does, i'm fucked?

In terms of builds, so long as you get the job done it doesn't really matter. As far as actual gameplay goes it's just a matter of not being a faggot like using Frost's bubbles when they aren't necessary or Limbo's cataclysm similarly or doing things to inconvenience other players in general.

Just about the only required thing I can think of is using a Corrosive Projection when the team calls for it.

Most weapons and frames have multiple play styles, you just got to find what you enjoy. There are some meta-builds like EV Trinity, Disarm Loki or Snowglobe Frost but you shouldn't really bother about that until you feel that you want to do endgame stuff or grind deep into endless missions.

For a new player - whatever floats your boat, but be prepared to get shat on by high MR players for being too new
Endgame - better to build a team of specific shit and all that jazz recommended VOIP even

Play however you like, just know that you'll be cut off some of the higher tier content if you don't do all the quests. That's what happened to me and I didn't have a space barby or kubrow for the longest time.

For most of the standard missions, the game doesn't require you to be very specific with your builds. Just don't do stupid shit, like bringing a warframe without any good cc ability to a defense mission. Otherwise, the game is pretty forgiving with stupid shit I should know

If you want to go full autist and try to build weapons and frames to tackle on enemies that you will rarelly if ever see in the game, then expect to know how all the mechanics of this game works, front and backwards.

I was gonna say. I never had the chance to use the Telos Boltace in their prime, but I leveled them recently and they didn't seem that great.

Looking at Riven Dispositions is always interesting. Nikana is currently Faint, Prime is Faint, Dragon is Strong.

tbh selling riven mods has become worth it for me. people pay so much for the vailed ones, and once theyre unvailed, theyre never good. and even if it happens to be for a decent weapon, nobody will pay more than 20-30p for it. i have a war riven and pox, tibedo, mutalist cernos, and a few other decent ones and i have been unable to sell it for a month now and am going to end up trashing them. if i sold all vaield mods from the start (~20 of them) which has earned me nothing except a couple mediocre ones for weapons i use sometimes (jat kittag and hek). if i sold them straight after recieving them i would have enough money to buy some overpowered one for the ignis or something i actually use.

Now on a serious note, this update failed horribly because once again they're shoving another hema 2.0 on us combined with the same the fact its separate from the main game just like archwing. And all top of all that we get more potato faced failed abortions down our throat. Focus 2.0 sucks and any and all good upgrades like %100+ health and armor go to your operator, the fucking operator. More health and armor aren't going to make them combat viable when they could use a warframe. Im sick of these little shits being pushed. Part of me wishes this update was so bad that many people will quit the game due to all the baggage that came with this update. Hell even DE's youtube partners are starting to call them out on their shit.

I've talked to a bunch of people, and nobody seems to actually be enjoying POE. Personally, killing the Terralysts is cool and all, but it's so crippled due to the fact that your Irish child has no health, and that he first amp you get is absolute garbage. To even get most of the shit out of POE, you have to grind fishing, mining or shitty rep bounties. To upgrade your amp, to actually have fun eidolon hunting, you need 8 fish brains. For what purpose? Fuck if I know. To get said 8 fish brains, you have to spend daily limited rep, to craft bait because "rare" fish don't spawn without proper bait, at all, and you're not guaranteed a fish spawn per bait, then you need rocks, which you have to mine, then craft into better rocks.

Even the zavs, or whatever the fuck craft-a-weapon is, is shit, because you need to spend rep on parts, then craft the parts, out of the same shit used to make amps.

i actually be enjoying power over ethernet. i didnt want to have to run any excess cables.

it has to atleast require a strategy. i actually enjoy that one where you shut down/hack the robutts and send them into space to blow up the mothership.

the teralyst is an HP sponge and it's attacks alternate between impossible to dodge and insultingly easy; would rather fight sortie Sargas Ruk since it's the same concept but without more forced operator

rewards are not even close to worthwhile with the exception of some mods and eidolon lenses, but even then focus is shit because nobody wants to play operator when they can just use their goddamn warframe

Scourge is definitely the least appealing of all the spear weapons. It only shines if a Harrow is present since some of his abilities have increased effects on headshots. Ferrox still has the better utility and Javlok has the better damage.

Evidently, last I checked miasma does fuck all for damage, even with spores.

chroma is the biggest tank, that doesnt mean he's the only tank.
saryn has more health than excal. less armor tho, but i said decent armor, not the most armor.

nah, they buffed her spores. i put on 250% range and cover entire maps. each popped spore adds 3 spores to anyone within 40 meters of the popped spore. toxic lash turns any melee weapons smash into a spore popping machine.

i'll cast spore on 1 guy using almost no energy. and either hit him with my gas ignis (which i usually equip), or hit him with my toxic lash melee, and my entire screen becomes numbers. allies will continue to pop spores and each popped spore deals damage and the gas AOE pops spores so it just blooms throughout the battlefield until all are dead.

it works very similar to banshees sonar attack with that syndicate mod that causes it to spread when you hit the weakpoint, but it also deals damage on its own, and if the enemy dies, their spores spread.

each enemy with spores has half their original health, which is extremely useful when it gets harder, but the spores tick damage fast enough to kill even though the ticks are small its not uncommon to see a corrupted bombard infected with viral and toxin covered in 10-15 spores, and if i pop them will cause 30-45 new spores to appear on anyone within 40 meters of that guy.

too lazy to check the eidolon resistances to know if it matters, but napkin math says the hellfire is giving you 44% more damage in that spot and point strike would only give 34% more damage.

Didn't count the riven properly, and looked up the resists.
Hellfire should be about 37%, point strike about 34%, and vital sense about 46%.

I think the biggest gain without forma is running both crit mods and using high voltage or r3 storm bringer to keep your radiation.

Madurai is decent because you get 25% increased physical and elemental damage. I think it's Zenurik with the obscene amounts of energy regeneration, but everything else is garbage.

Naramon is also okay for grinding due to the bonus affinity passive for melee kills and the lowered combo dropoff. Going 1k+ combo in endless missions feels so nice.

Unairu now reflects 25% of all incoming damage and grants 20% extra armor. Once unbound those make for nice survival buffs.

Heavy Blade and Dual Sword stances do not share any polarities so if you Forma it for Heavy Blade then you'll be lowering it's mod capacity as a Dual Sword. It's supposed to be a versatile weapon but it'll always be less effective at one of it's modes at any given time. If you only intend on using it as a Dual Sword for elemental crits then knock yourself out. If you want to use it as a Heavy Blade and want the most out of it you'll have to Forma the stance slot.
It's also got one of the worst weapon skins ever conceived. Literally the PC Gamer logo stretched over the entire weapon.

Magnum Force is a noob trap, take it off your weapon. Forget it exists. 90% ele mods are always more damage, and that's ignoring the accuracy loss.
Concussion rounds(and all the physical damage mods) is also a noob trap. It's not as laughable on sonicor where the damage is pure impact, but a 60/60 ele status will still give you more there.
Stunning speed is also kind of shit. Ice storm is usually better than reload for sustained damage.

We should also note that the 0% status chance is a lie. The actual "bullet" has no status chance, but the AOE has 25%. Even without blast shenanigans it's a reliable way to load suckers up with status ailments.

They're also very easy to deal with when you're playing Excalibur. Hit them with the blind, then kill them in a few hits with exalted blade. Sure, they'll adapt to your damage type, but they can't adapt to the sheer amount of damage.

To head off your next bad mood Kuva Siphon missions reward around 600 Kuva per run and it takes 900 Kuva to reroll a riven the first time. The amount dropped doubles with resource boosters and during Kuva Flood missions (which are 80-100), and the amount for consecutive rerolling goes up by a couple hundred or so everytime. Which you may have to do quite a lot since DE, in their infinite wisdom, decided that Rivens should have curses. Another thing to note is Riven Disposition. How powerful any given weapon's riven can be depends on its popularity. Widely used weapons have weak rivens and vice versa. Being new, it may be in your interest to look up the list of dispositions on the wiki to see what everyone else is using. Not that it's perfect, and not to say you have to use them (beyond mastery fodder that is) but if its popular then it must be for a reason, and that reason could work for you too.

It's either hit or miss with most people. I think it's alright but if you have a Riven it may make it ridiculously good or suck balls.

WMan22 made a 2fast4u dagger that stun locked a lvl150 heavy gunner unranked and without mods. Took him around 8 seconds to kill it. With mods it was barely 2 seconds.
We called it "Rapido Stabido" and "Speedy Stinger" or something.

Unless I missed something on the laundry list of notes for the disk, the weapon in most modes maintains 25% status chance and the disk aura does 50% status.

Anyone know if this is a good build? Deals with up to about level 60's easily but struggles with the bigger,more elite enemies
