Back in the day I could check stuff I was interested in with shareware versions and demo discs and those, couple with impressions from more indie game magazines, were pretty reliable ways to gauge my interest in something. Seems like a fun game but is there a way to turn off the automatic jumping if the jump button is held down too long? My dulled senses can not release the button fast enough and I am jumping twice instead of once per button push. Is this just part of the game?

There are some moments in the harder levels (world 4) where timing is important, and it's simply easier for the player to be able to jump immediately after landing. I can also think of some speedrunning shortcuts in other worlds that benefit from non-stop jumping.

It should be that if you press jump within a few frames of landing that you'll jump again immediately. That way you can still have repeated jumping but without accidental jumping.

Aside from Techraptor and Nichegamer, which I HAVE recommended before, I'd also recommend RGT85 and maybe Arlo to get some normalfag exposure, since they seem to be pretty chill most of the time. I would recommend ProtonJon if you're just looking for exposure in general, but problem is he has way too many games, and because most of what he plays is decided by audience vote I doubt he'd even get a chance to play it on-stream. Might be worth trying anyway.

I typically use a keyboard, and it's been working surprisingly smoothly unless I'm playing like an idiot. I haven't tried using a controller yet, but I'd imagine that would work better.

I played the first 20 levels of the demo and there looked like there's still a considerable amount of content left so I'll give OP props for having a Demo that feels like a game in it's own way.

The art design is really nice, things are visually distinct from each other and there was no point where I felt like I couldn't notice something. Even in Drone camera, it's easy to form a mental route through the levels.
The music is nice and cheery and it switches things out after level 10 as to not get too much on you. The only thing is that it doesn't really stop between levels so it can get a tad droning if you're stuck on one level just to hear it on the next.

Gameplay, this is a game I could probably sink hours into just to chill out, I love games like this, Snakepass and so on.
However, this is where most of my issues arise, this could be due to me playing on the keyboard rather than a gamepad so bare that in mind.
Firstly, the ground movement has no buildup of speed, you're either go or stop, which is nice for the larger areas of the map but for the precision moments this ends up becoming a bit of a pain.
There is no momentum when it comes to jumping, this is probably due to things I've picked up in other games but I often found myself undermaking jumps because there's no momentum behind each jump. If i'm moving forward and press jump, let go of both buttons then the bot will jump on the spot, which becomes a problem when trying to make tight jump
Launchpads are another thing that can get annoying as these DO have momentum towards them and often a jump would require you to either extend the jump more by holding forward or attempt to reduce the jump by holding against the launch direction, which, at first glance is a tad hard to determine what to do.
With some of the levels, I found that many of the jumps required you to be right at the edge of the platform, which considering the previous movement concern means that I end up doing some awkward dance towards an edge to try and make a jump, or, I try to do it in one quick motion and fall off or too early making me miss the jump entirely.

A few things I would personally like, although I can understand if people wouldn't like is
1) A slower base movement speed but the option to hold down something like Shift in order to get the faster movements, essentially switching between Precision and Speed
2) A Light or a shadow under Speebot to determine how close to the edge I actually am
3) Option for the Umbrella to be toggle or hold
4) The ability to move the Drone during Drone mode, I'd like to have an alternative view of the level so I can make judgements such as distances. This is probably due to my poor eyesight, if it is then disregard this.

All in all OP, you've done an amazing job and I'll be making a purchase as soon as I get some money ;_; and I'd love to see what other stuff you can come up with.

Your game is fun. It will be a basic 3D isometric platformer if you leave it as is. Or, if you really care about the game, you can add an interesting twist that will make it ten times as memorable (at the end it is revealed you are working to kill humanity and all these platforms were a way to stop you from reaching the end, or maybe you are a test by the humans to see if you are the world-saving hope they are looking for).

This is the kind of game I would want to buy, but I'm the most price-sensitive person on this entire board. I won't buy The Division for more than $20. At $13.49, relatively speaking, it looks like I might be waiting a while before picking this one up.

Use the same engine for the most part but add a mechanic form Oddworld Abe's Oddysee. So the plot is to rescue your fellow Spee's. So you have a secondary goal (optional for the best ending). They fallow you very faithfully so no AI complicated AI patting is necessary but this way then introduce a stealth mechanics and mind control mechanics (so that you can possess the enemy). This would make your comfy puzzle platformer and amp it up to 11 and even then give it a bit of lore that could tug at the heart strings.

I remember trying to get a thread going about BallisticNG when it was first resleased, free and mostly broken. Spaghetti everywhere. Now it isn't free and fuck a lot of them.

It's a balanced and fun 3d platformer with a static camera user. The mechanics are diverse and the controls and physics are very tight and pleasant to interact with. It does not break any new grounds like you said but it's simple, straightforward and fun. The later levels introduce some good challenge too that require careful timing and some abstract planning.

If summarized I would say it's Super Mario 3D land but deconsolized and more polished.

I was thinking of dumping all the soundtrack on Youtube for free in the future. I know nothing about selling music online and I'm not sure if I want to start doing that. I'll look into whether Steam allows me to package music in other formats along with the game (and whether or not I will get into trouble with format licensing for doing so).

Props to the dev for actually finishing his game and doing so from ground up instead of using something like Unity. But I think most of us realise this game isn't going to get much attention because frankly it is really bland.

That's not what a meme game is. Most meme games are carbon copies of each other. They're halfbaked versions of other games that are made to appeal to streamers first, which then sell mostly to their half retarded audiences who think they'll have nearly as much fun as they saw the streamer pretending to have.

I've seen both Deus Ex and Undertale being referred to as meme games when neither of then were made with streamers in mind. Something like Goat Simulator is an actual meme game.
