(Literal) Vidya Dreams

Have you ever had a dream about vidya/vidya characters, Holla Forums?
I used to play so much Tetris that I would dream about it. The game would end up playing weirdly and I always got confused.

I dreampt

I dream of installing mods and struggling with game crashes. Those are some fine nightmare fuels.

Yeah, I've had numerous video game related dreams over the years, but the problem is that when I try to recall them, they don't make much sense. I've dream about being in various places in Hyrule a lot - the Kokiri Forest, a snow covered Death Mountain, a giant bridge suspended over a chasm that separates Ganon's Tower from the rest of Hyrule, a coastal Zora's Domain - but the scenarios that happen there might as well have happened in some kind of "visual logic" that is foreign to me. Hyrule's not the only thing I've dreamt about, it's just one of the first settings that come to mind.

I dreamt I was a butterfly

Once I replayed all of MGQ in one sitting and ended up having fever dreams about it

Just this morning I dreamed I was in a gmod darkRP map. Some other autist and I went into a building, bought a door, and we talked about how much we hate working.
I haven't played darkRP in 4 years.

I was thinking about potential porn of hat girl.

There's literally a syndrome named after this

One time I dreamt I was talking around in hyrule and picked up a big boulder and found a waterhole that led to an underground waterworld with zoras swimming everywhere

I dreamed one time of being in some retro vidya store next to a giant arcade complex with some animu rotating arcades machines and it got me really happy for some reason. I need to keep a dream journal and try to get lucid dreams

Sneakin' around, smashin' terrorists in the head with my baton and dragging 'em into dark corners of the terrain. Ahh, yeah.

I used to dream about glitches that don't actually exist. One time I discovered that in one the 3d GTA games, if you mash the get in/get out button next to a car fast enough you trigger a race condition that lets you drive the car while still running around outside the car.

Same, but Tetris Attack.

I often used to dream of solutions to parts of games where I was stuck as a kid. I'd wake up excited, try the solution, and quite often it worked.
Usually my subconscious going over details my conscious mind had missed while I was playing.
For example, in OoT's fire temple there was a section where if you stood in just the right spot you could summon the scarecrow to use as a hookshot target.
Consciously I missed it, but I managed to dream of it, and used it to reach some treasure on the top floor.

I dream about Dark Souls maps a lot. It's something about the dark aesthetic.
I also played Pokemon Puzzle League so much that I'd dream about it nobully

I dreamed I was in a space station from playing too much SS13.
From fapping too much to xenomorphs, it was a wet one.

I dreamt I was a no name wrestler in the Mortal Kombat Universe who had to fight all the chicks and add them to his harem.
"I" played like Alex, somehow.

Was it like in fngyh23a?

That sounds like a glitch that could actually exist.

I've had a wet dream exactly once and it was one of the strangest dreams I've had in recent years.
Tell us, what happened in your dreams?

Odd that you mention Tetris. I was playing through Puyo Puyo tetris last month and all I could dream about was tetris

Funny this thread showed up.
Last week I had a fun, weird dream.
I was taking part in a sitcom, sharing flat with Chat'turga, Xelotah and Ullyaoth.
Hilarity ensues.
Shame can't remember much, but I think Xelotah used a zombie to steal Chat'turga's food from the fridge.
I woke up thinking what the fuck was that.

bump

Yes. I have dreamed of playing in the trees of Kashyeek in Battlefront 2.

I have surfed hills in some mix of Titanfall and Call of Duty level mixed in with high movement.

Sometimes I just plainly walk around video game levels devoid of people. It is… Unusual to say the least.

They sound like comfy dreams, user.

Was it filmed in front of a live studio audience, and did any of them have catchphrases?

Here's a few I wrote down
>fucked a Zoroark twice in one dream, remember that it was nice

...

i had silent hill dreams, full hours of nightmare

do not recommend

When Ultimate MvC3 was still new I sometimes had dreams of trying out new stuff in training mode. Some of it actually worked and I managed to refine a few setups and combos that way.

Has anyone dreamt of NiGHTS?

I had dreams about engaging in non-descript modern shooter(usually resembling online pvp pc games, though once was like a console chest high wall section) and killing floor gameplay several times, about playing warcraft 2 or starcraft on a j2me platform(well, there is one, but it's a complete trash and a cash grab), about mass effect world, about being reina from deception 3 exploring floating (or hanging above the ground) symmetric bridges infront of a castle assumed to be from vampire D and about transitioning from 3d horror esque HnS escape session into a 2d terraria man diggin into the ground. No particular characters would appear, only the concepts and rules of hideogenes, like saveload or stealth sections. No particular worlds appearing either, only apocalyptic environments usually involving either abandoned cities with overrepresented wooden structures and furniture or space stations/spaceships lacking lightsources.
Regardless if it's a miniakeks or not lylyapens I'm rarely ever get interested afterwards, in fact, after succeeding in increasing the frequency of dreams appearing I've got bored of them and that's counting some, though small, but noticeable success in a lucid dream department in the process.

Engaging ones are few and infrequent and can be split in 3 categories: in the moment, food for thought and lasting.
1st one includes action game experience, flying and basically anything that's sensory engaging. Holds no value after waking up.
2nd one consists solely of arguing with relatives. Somewhat interesting, since there isn't much base for that in real world and it's also extremely emotion intense for me.
3rd one is mainly horror dreams(which I've had only 0.5+0.5+1=2 in my entire life), secondary dreams with exceptional situations(like a lolifuck centipede in an urban train or a lone exploration of space).

I used to have a lot of dreams in the Hitman Blood Money levels.

I think the spambot is getting smarter

You mean nightmares? Lucky you, I'm currently going through dream anxiety disorder, I get nightmares several times a week and have been for months.

For fucks sake, :goy: flag.

I'm using a custom script and it's giving me pain, since it looks like that I can't delete the garbage post now.

I'm actually lusting for nightmares, even though from the last one I woke up in cold sweat and thought that I don't want to reexperience it again at the moment.

You don't understand. I can't sleep properly anymore, I wake up yelling, I'm afraid to go to bed; these nightmares aren't tame but rather intensely disturbing. Recently I dreamt about having huge 3 inch holes in my head that were extremely itchy and kept leaking puss. Flies were laying eggs in them so I had to pluck them out.
It's really shitty.

No, I feel you man, if I've had nightmares weekly I'd be miserable.
And fake wake ups? Gotta love that.
But it really sucks too when your dreams don't interest you to the point, where you give up actual progress in lucid dreaming and would rather have less dreams and more nightmares.
Maybe try lucid dreaming too? Because it tends to break story flow.

Freud would have had a jolly good time with this shit.

...

These make too much sense(too consistent) and read like writing peaces instead of memories or dream diary entries, so I call bullshit. I might be wrong on the 2nd, but the 1st one is definitely not a dream.

Last night I dreamt of being in some kind of clan on a Minecraft survival server with shader mods and discussing wether or not to install a thin or thick redstone client for peasant tax accounting in a snowy forward operating base.

Strangely enough these Minecraft dreams always devolve into something else entirely over time **last night it turned into some kind of anime about a high school student who finds out that he and the rest of his class (consisting of around 10-12 grils, can only remember a bitchy student council president with pink twintails and some other girl with blonde hair) are part of an experiment in a closed off environment(sort of like Kamimura Yuuka wa kou itta).
They end up escaping the facility and go on scavenging abandoned towns, discover that their confinement facilities were located in southeastern Canada and eventually find a second facility.
There none of the people would respond to them in any way and the main character begins to suspect that the rest of the class could be robots after observing some odd repetive behaviour among them, he would eventually enter a convience store and spot a child at the counter with the exact same facial features as him. The child says the GPS coordinates of the southern pole of inaccessibility which makes both him and the nearby student council president go into an inexplicable rage while all the other girls freeze or fall unconscious with the exception of the blonde, confus girl. The MC and student council president fight, he eventually pins her down and tears off her arms**

I used to dream about games that were not only good but perfect and a machine that could run them

I had a dream once that I was a pilot flying for Osea after marathoning through the PS2 Ace Combat games back to back. I was just flying around for a bit, and then I landed at the Sand Island base in my F-14 and hopped out, and talked with my wingmen for a bit. It was pretty cool because I've always wanted to fly jets, but pretty uneventful.

I just don't remember dreams all that often. It's like a once every three months type deal for me.

When I was a neet I would play Reign of Kings (it's a piece of shit but it was extremely fun) from 1 PM when I woke up until 6 AM when I would go to sleep. I played it so much I dreamt I was inside the game.

Crazy times.

Yeah mostly about some third person games i used to play like RDR or ass creed 2 and prince of persia, i dreamed about playing them in different maps and objectives plus these dreams always had 2x more spoopy elements than real versions

...

Damn that's a comfy painting

錯誤! 這個人死了

Just had one a few hours ago. I had my own pokemon game and almost accidentally saved over a cart someone gave me somehow. Anyways i started a new game on the cart and it was a weird "gen 3" starting town (it wasnt but it had a central lake and a west path), had pikachu, and YOU were the gym leader. You were all the gym leaders. The goal was to train pokemon to leave in the gym; you could set the gym typing however you wanted. Wanted the first one to be rattatas, or did you want to hold onto your pikachu? You could

Then it got weird and became about assassins and some notdeadpool person and a flash video

Weird, I once had a dream in which I was Millennia. I was fleeing from a group of people while running through some nondescript alleyways in an otherwise-empty city.

I've had dreams about drifting and doing outrageous shit in cars just to win races. Thing is, I don't really play racing games nor do I have my driver's licence.

A lot of the maps were like video game car racing circuits.

...

I once had a wet dream where I was a Zaku being rammed by a Gundam.
I watch too much Gundam.

I don't remember much, but I remember I was playing vidya with pic related. we ate sausages for dinner and snuggled in bed. I held her tight and said I want to keep you close so I won't be alone. I think that's how the dream went.

She'll never be real

I had dream with Reimu and she told me You need to go back.
:^)

Just last night/this morning I had a dream where I was in this Doom and Outlast mix game, where I was having a good time with buds and using glitches to have laughs. I remember distinctly that I would tell the guys in my dream "Hold on, I gotta pause and brb", to which I'd wake up, hit the snooze on my alarm, and go back to sleep to continue right where I left off.

When I finally had to actually get up for work I remember saying "I'm pretty tired guys, I'm gonna head to bed." I immediately woke up after saying that before my alarm went off.

I don't want for this to be a dream, I was happy when I was 'awake'

>Immediately start playing some PS3 as it wasn't even out yet ironically I never bought one too as I went full mustard and handhelds on the next year after learning it had install times

Had a dream about some sort of stealth game where I was Peter the Rabbit and had to avoid things like the household humans, pets, lasers and other traps to steal items.

Had a dream last night that I was at some festival or convention that had a bathroom arcade. I thought all the stalls were supposed to be different games you played by pissing, like those urinal games that have in Japan. When I went to one of the stalls, it was just a Rival Schools cabinet. So I played a couple rounds and never got to piss.

I woke up needing to piss badly.

Dreamed about being some FPS Grunt nobody in a big war with the main characters of JRPG dweebs being front and center while I just go in front of the bullets and be good fodder, then after this big battle where I become lost with my squad, it went into survival shit ala Stalker with fucking fantasy monsters, zombies and gigantic robots, then it goes into helping the fucking dweebs not die, like being an invisible guardian, then I woke up and realize that it was all a dream and I'll never get a sequel.

Posted this elsewhere before, don't feel like retyping.

I wish I could control my dreams like I used too, I remember being able to Pause whenever I had a dream with a visible "Pause" message overlay in front of what I was seeing

...

The dream was during 2008 or was it 2009, was getting burnt out with the JRPGs that came out during that period and just played the living shit out of Stalker and being disappointed with Red Alert 3, only thing I remembered feeling about that dream, was I just didn't gave a shit about the war or those JRPG cliche party, didn't felt hate or love for those dweebs, just felt like helping them like some wannabe white knight.

...

I had a dream i was in Fallout 4, the moment i opened up a raider to gather building trash and pipe weapon i woke up.
Worst nightmare i ever had.

I've never had a vidya character appear in my dreams before. On an unrelated note: I don't have any pleasant dreams or outright nightmares for that matter. Just weird or disturbing dreams that skew the line on nightmare. Like if I'm in a dream and everything's ok, but there's this cold feeling creeping in, telling me not to think too hard about the current affairs, or else. Any half decent dream slips away from me immediately. Like when I'm having a good time I go in lucid mode and the dream quickly fades away into something else.

It's miserable and not even lucid dreaming can help me.

A true Holla Forumsiking.

I once had a dream about Gravity Rush, but instead of flying around doing shit, Kat was shopping for bootleg movies at some Chinese equivalent to Walmart. She ended up buying a Godzilla DVD.

For reasons beyond me, my dreams aren't violent, sex-filled, or even fun, but just oddly specific and I don't know why. Last night, I dreamed that I went to my gym, and I met two patrons, one of which I knew was Christopher Walken, but they looked similar enough to the point where I couldn't tell who the real Walken was. One of them just ended up lecturing me on the importance of lats and that was it.

There was a rather dark time in my life that my life was consumed by World of Warcraft. Not only was I a PVP fag, but I was a hardcore RP fag too.

It was all I did aside from sleeping and working full-time. Eventually I skimped on sleep and just going to work each day on about 1-2 hours of sleep. Obviously work performance failed and I thought I was doing awesome and nobody would notice, except everyone noticed.

One night, my body finally gave out and I just completely blacked out. I dreamt I was sitting in a seat in the basement of the Stormwind Cathedral, and seated across from me was my character, telling me of the years I wasted getting to Grand Marshal, and if any of it was worth it.

Those are the main videogame dreams I have in recent memory, and these were the ones that seemed the most coherent of the videogame dreams I can remember.

Nights is a boy.

I have dreams of having fun. They are sadly only ever dreams.

i had a dream that i was running on this dark foggy road, where i could only see the road. and the road began to twist, it felt like i was almost going to fall, but i just had to keep running. My limbs were also that of sonic's, turns out that i played unleashed soo much that i dreamed of running away from everything.

It was a pretty boring dream.

I had one with a Tetris-themed bullet hell boss once. She fires pieces fly at you, and as lines clear they explode in a shower of bullets. ZUN needs to get on that idea some day with a Russian Touhou.

I got this back in 2014/2015 from a webm thread on this board.

How could that be from halfchan? It's 6.7MB.

The images used in it are. This is the 8ch one but sadly the older one, he re-encoded it recently for 12MB and may have to do so again for 16MB.

Did Ron finally bump the limit up to 16mb?

Quite.

>Tfw used to have plenty of my vidya waifu
Felt good, still have most of them written down too
