The RasPi series have a good community of developers working on them, but the RasPi foundation itself is shit. Buying the boards used is better.
From a tech point of view the RasPi boards aren't as good as their competitors for a number of reasons. MicroUSB power supplies are shit at supplying enough power, and the RasPi series underclocks itself to cope. The ethernet and USB jacks all share the bandwidth of one USB2 port internally, so it's shit for server use. They're alright for playing around with but are useless for anything practical.

Are orangepi's any good for server use?
1 and 2 are both good but are very different feeling games (1 is fast paced, 2 a lot more tactical-fps). Fuck 3.
They're ok for the most part, it depends on the model. Some of them have screwy voltage regulation but they should work fine. Your best bet is to pick something supported by Armbian: armbian.com
As an alternative, Olimex and Odroid boards work well. The ones to avoid are the Banana Pi series because the current owner of the series is garbage and has no support, the Pine64 Only works well when powered by GPIO, and the Asus Tinkerboard Needs GPIO power and heats up too much
