So how is Story of Seasons?
Some user convinced me to play Legend of the River King 2 and now i have a powerful first for a comfy farming rpg. But Harvest Moon is now (((Harvest Moon))) and i never tried the real devs new IP.
How is it? is it possible for a new nice thing to exist in [CURRENT YEAR]?
They haven't lost their touch at making comfy games.
Stardew Valley is the best Harvest Moon there is, because lesbian wives and only one black guy and combat.

lol, people who say this shit don't have a clue about the series or the genre. Harvest Moon was for a very long time a series pumped out every 6 months loaded with bugs, bad ideas, and tedious gameplay. It is only some of the earlier Harvest Moon games that ever had a decent grasp of how to make a good game, and I doubt the people who made those games stuck around because Marvelous hasn't had a clue for a long time. The "real devs" you're referring to are the same idiots who made Harvest Moon crap for the past 10 years. Why would it suddenly be good just because they left Marvelous and made another one of them independently?
Best one in a long time anyway. I still haven't played it enough to determine whether it has a proper "end" (evaluation). I sure hope they haven't repeated Friends of Mineral Town's mistake.

Don't forget that it has like three fucking story arcs. That game was never ever over.
Do you like grind? Story of seasons and the modern installations are very grindy and are pretty much only grind. If you're talking about hometown story, it's shit, don't bother.
The rune factory series is everything harvest moon should be, except for the RNG bs in 4, but it has better farming and socialising.
Story of Seasons is pretty good, comfy with lots to do, but it's no Rune Factory.
Still better than shit though.

I don't think it's a new IP, just has a different name in English to avoid issues.
I only played the first Story of Seasons game, but it was alright. Everything felt kind of slow, both in movement and how long it takes to unlock certain things, but it wasn't awful. Better than Starjew and neu-Harvest Moon, but it lacks some of the charm of the older games.
