Basically, Mecha the Slag is a furfag who hosted the Slag servers/community in TF2 back when it started to get infested with furshit + hat cancer. He and his buddy pal MaxOf2DLensFlares were scamming people big time with server donations and the like. Nobody gave a shit though because the former hosted a way dope Custom Weapons server before unlockables in tf2 started getting terrible (hint: they were always terrible from day one but people couldn't notice it yet) and the latter made shitty smut with stolen assets and videos filled to the brim with lighting effects (I believe he also managed to get into the Valve cartel and get free exclusives of SFM). At some point they had a falling out because the former wouldn't put up with the latter drinking the kool-aid (and he wouldn't accept his furshit and fund his crappy Mario Sunshine ripoff) and the latter started DMCAing and basically name-calling the former. The results were massive influxes of furfag refoogies onto the rest of custom TF2 servers (those that weren't infested by "le bronys" anyhow) and just any kind of autistic screeching maneuver and commentary from everyone ever involved with the game itself.

I like Jon, but him not being in YL isn't what made it shit, it being bland is what made it shit. A Hat In Time looks to have the similar issue where it forgets the sheer level of character games like Banjo and Mario and Conker had in their worlds.

I mean I guess I view the ability to quickly traverse platforms as inherent to a platformer. Snake Pass was more about careful traversing rather than quickly hopping from platforms and such. Just didn't feel like a platformer. Still a good game like I said though.

I wish more platformers took the SM64 approach, where you just make moving around as fun as humanly possible, then build the rest of the game later. Just randomly jumping around the overworld/hub in SM64 is fun when you're doing nothing in particular, more games should try and reach that level of control and only continue once they can move on from there. A lot of these newer collect-a-thons seem more focused on the collectibles first, which is a mistake.

Sadly, I feel this game had a better art style in the prototype builds. It was pretty much just a clone of Wind Waker graphics, but hey it looked nice. They stripped out the old cartoon shaders and whatnot and went with what they have now, which feels like it's just trying to rely on the actual art assets themselves rather than post processing tricks. I'm sure that Beta64 YouTube channel will have a video soon covering all the changes like he usually does.

On the upside, the devs pledge full mod support and it runs on Unreal 3, so you could probably inject those cartoon shaders back into the game if you wanted.

It probably doesn't ruin the entire game, but it has decimated my interest in it. I've seen it done before in a good way, Oddworld is full of anti-consumerism jokes, but that's the theme of the entire game, so it fits. For this game it seems really out of place, and it isn't even funny.

I have played it for 8 hours and am at the final boss, not including getting all 40 or so time star things. Game is fun and the controls are tight enough, there's not nearly enough content for what it is but I imagine co-op and workshop will help >mods will fix it somewhat. They're supposed to be adding more stuff later and the in-built level editor looks cool. I expect the game to explode in content later, but for now I'm actually quite pleased with what I got considering that it's half the price of a triple shit game.

I will point out however that in the Beta, JonTrong was voicing the Penguin Clique, but they were recast and JonTron became a Receptionist bird. Not sure when in development that changed though, it could have been before that stream he did.

Dude, the devs put their heart and soul to that game, I can't even begin to imagine how much time they must have put into finishing it or how much suffering it was to work on it. Every day, each day doing some painful work for an uncertain, unproven game without any guarantee that it would be successful.

The game released with SJWs making a huge fuss about it and so far it's not that famous or successful on Steam, there are not much people talking about it besides forums and imageboards. We could say it flopped a little. Now can you imagine how the devs must be feeling right now because of all that? That joke is the most blatant reference/political opinion in there and even then given that most of the game's characters partake in unlawful activity it may not have been an intentional political jab. There's no excuse for inserting a meme though.
Release wise, a quick search says it's coming to PS4 and XBONE with a release date of "fall 2017," and although there isn't a specific linux port the fact there's a mac version means it should be possible to get it running via wine if you can find a copy for comp.

Go into the game's config files and change ResX and ResY to your native display. I had the same issue. The problem is that the Direct X object is failing to be created because it's trying to render at a higher resolution than your monitor.
