Destructible Environments, TTW so you can install this one Fallout 3 A.I mod which tops the NV ones, Random encounters, Classic Super Mutants and this one custom thing I made and am not sure if I shared, the two Weapon Mod Mods WMX and another I can't rember, Project Nevada, and then this one for more A.I stuff which I can't remember the name of but it added MGS sneaking features, that one mod for varied ammo, a Wyre Flash bashed patch and some other stuff.

Use Project Nevada and then use mod tweaks to make damage as realistic as possible combined with the tribal war mods. Bretty fun.

The quests in the city of New Vegas itself don't actually take up that much time, so if you power through those quests everything else is focused on the surrounding areas.

Engine limitation until it was overhauled for Skyrim iirc. There are no mods to fix the lack of diagonal movement.

Personally I liked New Vegas quests in the city. I just didn't like the Freeside quests. They felt tedious.

If you like to play New Vegas solely in first person mode I'd recommend getting First Person Animation Overhaul, Real Recoil and The Weapon Re-texture Project. I would get Project Nevada but just disable all the retarded balance changes they make in MCM because most of them suck and just make the game tedious. Other mods I'd recommend are the Combined Community Sound Pack which redoes all of the weapon firing and reload sounds and finally all of the New Vegas Uncut mods, they add a lot of the content in the game that had been cut before release.

That mod is excellent. I hope hitman releases the next version he is working on. It's on his youtube and looks even more impressive. He has a 2 hand SMG one.

Some mods do work with it, but they usually need to be espeically for TTWL or patched for it.

The gog version of Oblivion, NV, and FO3 don't need the 4gb patch, they have the LAA flag enabled already.

It does work with other mods, but you can't start a new game with mods installed since that fucks with the game too much. You'd have to start the game normally and then once you leave 101, start installing mods. You can use almost any NV mod, just not the ones that fix shit or add fun things. For FO3 you'd need to convert mods. Overall, I don't think it's worth it.

It really isn't. The portion with cazadores outside of goodsprings is the diciest spot but all you need is some antivenom and some points in agility. I once did a min/maxed character and got kicked out of all the casinos and got all the implants before level 3.

I usually go Project Nevada + WMX + Cirosan's Classic Overhaul. Together they add a bunch of convenient features, more weapons, more perks and change how armour works a bit.
I turn the HUD off, and rely on the Pip-boy for everything. Doing so means you need to count your ammo and health, and you can't rely on the compass to tell you where enemies are. It also turns off the "Press X to VATS" dialog, which is convenient if you never use VATS.
I used to crank up the difficulty too, but bullet sponge enemies aren't fun.

It also makes the early parts of Fallout 3 insanely hard thanks to the lack of Doctor's bags and the higher damage enemies do. It was the first time I actually enjoyed Fallout 3.

Hello fellow poorfag, I also have to play this on a toaster. The issue, if you don't already know this, is that NV can't run on Nvidia cards, so you're doomed to eternally run it on integrated graphics. The second of input lag is either something that turns you away from the game or you learn to deal with- I basically have to play the entire game like I'm playing with a controller, but honestly, you get used to it after a half hour. And of course, turn down all the graphic settings that involve texture quality and particle count as far as you can; item and character render distance doesn't seem to effect performance.

As far as I know, technically it's not the card but some driver version that was rolled out. Even if you have it set to use the nvidia card globally, it'll use the integrated graphics, and if you force it (through some convoluted process I've long forgotten) the game just will refuse to load.

Blade of the west with the melee knockdown perk, slayer, and everything crit-related. It's basically war club 2.0 with longer reach, higher crit chance, and bullshit stunlock, since it also has knockdown on crits. The only thing you lose is the lawnmower action, but you still swing a solid 2-3 times a second.

Alternatively, take all explosives perks with Mercy. There's nothing like looting the meat soup after you dump a full drum of 40mm grenades into a cluster of unsuspecting fiends. If you use someguy's mods, it's particular fun when you run into the hordes of fiends or ghouls.

Once you give him the platinum chip and have the NCR sign the treaty, he's basically set for the long grind, in which he can get the space flights up in a few generations.
