I love the genre, Monster Raising is pretty fun. I love Pokémon but it needs a serious completion. G6 was awful. S&M was okay, for a first game in the Gen. I don’t really have much hopes for USUM. I doubt they will solve any of the issues that S&M had. I wish that it was as good as B2W2 but after the disaster that ORAS was, I don’t think it will.
As for other games, SMT is great. I am worried about the SJ remake but hey, if they do the same they did for DESU2:RB it might be actually good.
I heard the new Digimon games are pretty good but sadly, I have no access to them. A shame really.

I can never get into Digimon games because they always try to be "gotta catch em all" Pokemon knockoffs. The very original "Tamogatchi but monsters and combat" toys to the eventual TV show was all about characters who had ONE Digimon that was their signature partner and then going on adventures with the ONE partner.

A real Digimon game would play more like Battle Network, where you play the human during adventure and the monster during combat, but collectively are a single inseparable team.

Well because that's not true. Most furries are gay and their preffered type of furry is, I assume, arbitrary. They tend to be promiscuous and self insert as the furry. Pretty much the only truly good fangames/romhacks are Prism, Sage, and Phoenix Rising.

Prism is like 90% done but got cancelled due to Nintendo C&D it, but you can more or less play it to completion, minus the postgame. But it's a Crystal romhack so it's got technical limitations (but also worked around a suprising amount of them)

Sage and PR are both actual fangames, and are really impressive graphically and in terms of scope, but both aren't finished: Sage has a 6 or so hour demo that goes out to the third gym and PR has nothing playable, but from what we've seen of it it looks legimately amibitious and impressive.
