Traded my copy of Totori for a copy of Catherine, never looked back.

Good for you?

Why isnt there much porn of Sophie? And is firis any good?

Why did they only bring two Atelier games to PC?

Where is my Arland and Dusk trilogy HD re-release for PC?

...

Sophie is a pure maiden, thats why
Dissapointing from what I hear, haven't gotten to it yet.

Aside from some exceptions like Nobunagas Ambition and RTK Koei simply ports newer stuff to PC unfortunately, which is a shame, really wouldn't mind having the Arland trilogy on PC.

Purest love

dumb fucks

Shame

Koei have confirmed that the PC version of Blue Reflection will have a max resolution of 1280x720 and the PS4 will have 1920x1080. You can stretch it of course but then you stretch the textures.

mods will fix it

PS always win!
but I guess that wouldnt work with adrenaline

How did they manage to fuck that up?

There is nothing gay about girls kissing.

Mods didn't fix it in Atelier Sophie or Firis

FUCK.

Way too many good games coming out right as we're nearing the turn of the new year. I don't know if I can keep up.

What other good games have been released?

Mary Skelter, Demon Gaze 2, this. EO5, Xenoblade 2, and the latest Atelier are looming on the horizon as well. I'm sure I'm even forgetting some too.

Point is, tons of good shit coming out very shortly and I just don't have it in me to juggle it all on top of older titles.

fuck your comfy

After Sophie and Firis this should surprise absolutely no one. Last Gust thread we had I said this was going to happen and sure enough.

Fuck them. I'm not giving them a penny unless they update it with proper textures which is not going to happen I can guarantee that. I they were in the market for customer satisfaction they wouldn't have done it in the first place and would've already patched Firis where they did the same shit. It's fucking insulting that I would have to pay a premium price of 60€ for a game that's directly inferior to other releases that cost the same for reasons I can't figure out for the life of me. Why did they just not put the higher res textures in? Why do they keep doing this?

But they did

This guy is absolutely right though

Blue Reflection is out
2D assets seem fine

Excellent, but where's the download link? Some of us are niggardly misers.

Haven't got one yet, and I don't blame you. $60 + $70 for a "Season pass" which is just costumes because this is a Koei game.

Come on nigger
Shittons of public trackers out there, some based on popular warez groups, if you don't know about a single one or can't even go to /scurv/ to find one you're really fucking new..

IGG, Skidrow, Fitgirl, Codex, theres plenty to choose from.

Sasuga KT

That actually looks kinda ok. Still not going to even think about buying until it's sure how it works or they address it directly. I even see nips on Twitter who don't normally talk about games a whole lot talk about this issue (something I didn't see with Sophie or Firis) so I'm thinking it's making a bigger splash than they anticipated.

Apparently optimisation is complete shit in all versions.
I blame Kekmo

This shit is why I can't buy any KT games with customization anymore. I really wanted to play DW8 Empires, even pay for it, but not when they locked hundreds of dollars of customization behind such a massive paywall.

Here's the vidcon in magnet form. Seeds are still ass at the moment. mgnet.me/cPSH9H0 (zip password is "igg-games.com")

Should already have the DLC ready to go, but if not just follow instructions from this nerds comment I am replicating from the IGG website for easy copipe purposes:
If the game does not have DLC for you (it should since the ALL DLC flag is set to 1), add these lines to the appropriate place in the steam_emu.ini:

688240=BLUE REFLECTION - Bonus DLC
688241=BLUE REFLECTION - Sailor Swimsuit Set A
688242=BLUE REFLECTION - Sailor Swimsuit Set B
688243=BLUE REFLECTION - Sailor Swimsuit Set C
688244=BLUE REFLECTION - Sailor Swimsuit Set D
688245=BLUE REFLECTION - Sailor Swimsuit Set E
688246=BLUE REFLECTION - Arland Maid Costumes Yuzuki
688247=BLUE REFLECTION - Arland Maid Costumes Lime

Thanks user
Stayed in the share thread and forgot about to share this.

It's all good. I just figure it's best to have download links in the most directly relevant thread, rather than in some giga consortium where shit gets lost in the shuffle.

YEah, the MEga archives are fucked since the direct Mega links were shut down by good goys.
Thanks again, couldn't find a public tracker with all the DLC.

normalfags deserve the rope

I played it a few months ago and I thought it was pretty good, though it is very different from previous games. Main difference from them is that Firis is completely open world after it's intro/tutorial section. Firis has time limits, but there are only 2 sections; a 30 day "tutorial" at the start of the game and a year long timer for the rest of the game. You can play without the timer after finishing the main quest.

Storywise, Firis is pretty simple: You have one year to reach a city far off from where you live and pass the exam to be recognized as a certified alchemist. The only real hitch in the story is that you will need to get recommendation letters from already licensed alchemists before being allowed to take the exam. The exam is actually the game's "final boss" After the exam, there is a brief epilogue scene before the player is allowed to freely explore the world without the timer. You can also unlock the individual endings for each of your party members.

If you're looking for open world "cute girls doing cute things", you'll probably like it.

Looking like the next Atelier game will be getting a PC release.

Model swaping characters to their underwear model when?

Did they ever fix Firis's PC port GPU power hogging crap? Last I check it still makes your clock go 100% for no good reason.

No, I don't think so. You could use the nvidia control panel or something like that to try and change settings.

With Blue Reflection, I turned AntiQuality to 0 and made the resolution 1600x900 and it's running somewhat stable now. Sucks not being able to have a pretty game but I'll take stability>graphics.

...

Anyone got BF running through Wine? I've been trying for a bit now and I'm coming close to accepting that I'm too dumb.

because then nobody would buy their sophiefaggotry

...

I thought it would be like anti-aliasing but maybe it's something different.

Why is yuri both so cute and so fucking hot?

Opinions on Blue Reflection? Seems decent, but I honestly have had a lot more fun playing Atelier. I'm not very far in though (haven't even unlocked crafting yet), so maybe it'll improve.

It lets you have cute girls being erotic and pure at the same time

Heard the gameplay and writing gets somewhat better than Atelier in the mid/late game.

It's cute because it's the purest, but it's also hot because it's only cute girls and no ugly/beta men.

How come yuri is the pinnacle of culture but fujoshi are the scum of the earth?

I love it. The swish of Hinako's skirt as she runs down the halls of Hoshinomiya, The ui that's simplistic but beautiful, the soundtrack that has peoples voices in the background, giving the illusion that the school is busier than it is.

I know it's a bad port with random crashes, bad optimisation that I have to turn off graphics to get it to run properly and the battles could be more balanced towards hard instead of easy. But I still like it, it's rare now to get a game that you can almost feel how much time and effort the creator has put in. And I see that, from the cluttered classrooms, to the Commons, to the character models. I'm biased but I really like this.

Yuri has always been secret love and the inner-turmoil a girl goes through to try and confess said love. Setp by step she works up the courage and you get a natural progression in the relationship. Fujoshi just like seeing two guys together, sometimes with no emotional attachment. If they look good, they'll draw them butt-fucking each other.

Fujoshi are into yaoi, which is rotten, not pure.

What am I supposed to do with that steam_emu.ini file?

Holy shit, that's almost exactly what I was thinking.

I always make sure the guy isn't a faggot.

Hows is the "translation" of reflection? No cancer on the levels of nep i hope

Mostly good, two things. I've noticed a double word like "the the" and "But but" a few times. Second is some of the effects are worded really poorly. Like that first one "Increase skill recovery." I think it has to do with wait times when using a skill when ether is over 30% I dunno. Second I think increases a monsters wait time instead of increasing attack but again I'm not sure. Other skills are pretty straight forward.

Haven't noticed any cancer yet.

I'll take human typos over subhuman femishit retardation any day.

Did a small test and that Mortal Blow one is translated wrong. When equipped it will extend wait time but also increase attack power.

I checked the Japanese version. Ether Recovery increases the amount that recovery skills heal while your ether is 30% or more, and Mortal Blow increases attack skill power in exchange for lengthening wait time.

Cool, thanks.

Tell me if there are any others that are poorly translated, and I will check if I have them. I guess KT hasn't improved any from Atelier Ayesha.

Wake me up when we go back to Exa_Pico

Sorry, I misread the topic

Bathing towels dlc included?

they dont make any old school rpgs any more? i loved atelier iris and ar tonelico with all my heart.
for a while, atelier iris filled the void secret of mana left.

outside of the music and charm they arent even particularly outstanding but nothing made me quite as happy since. maybe its just from a more care free time.

For what it's worth. School swimsuits, sailor swimsuits, bathtowls and summer clothes.

Sorry for asking too much. Are they all included in ps4 ver for free (ENG). Might get that to support game if that's the case.

Kek

Unfortunately, it appears the season pass which is $80 has all that costume stuff in it. Probably best to grab the PC and pirate it.

All they really need is just to add a bit of writing to their games. Just a little bit more intriguing reasons/motivations for the characters. I'm not asking for saving the world from bigbad sephiroth calling down a meteor on earth. Every time I played an Atelier I got pissed because they keep dumping these potentially cool characters in the start of the Trilogy and then just forget about them by the end of it.

I wish they had an overarching story that tied the games together instead it being shallow snapshots of some girls daily life.

Yuri needs better writing? You don't say.

Thanks. KT.

That's not the only one you're going to find.

From what I recall, the Iris games were something of odd-ones-out in the series, being more traditional JRPGs in comparison to the prior ones, and thus the first of the series deemed worth the risk to bring overseas (and we still don't have any of the earlier games in english, even fan-translated). Usually when I see Atelier discussion and recommendation as to where to start, it's on the "proper" games; IE: the ones with more focus on crafting, time management, and slice of life, as opposed to Iris 1-3 or MK1 and 2.

Are they acting like this isn't gay at all?

Whatever could you mean?

...

...

What is this? A school for lesbians?

I wish.

There it fucking is again.

How exactly does Blue Reflection's chapter progression work? Is there any sort of time limit, or can I hold off on turning in missions so I can see more of the after-school scenes?

You'll progress along the story till chapter 3A, which is your first free time. From then on you'll get a few missions but as long as you hold off talking to Lime and Yuzu, you can go on missions in the common when you unlock that or build up relations with the other girls.

So there's no penalty for not talking to Yuzu and Lime? Are there scenes you can miss? I'm on chapter 4 right now, I think I blew through the first free times since I did all the missions at once.

Not really, as long as you're working on the friendships you can do them at any free time. They'll come a point towards the end of course but that's a bit further.

Thanks. I was thinking this was going to be similar to Atelier with the time limit, but apparently it's going to be much more relaxed.

Why can't Gust games let the player decide to go full yuri instead of being merely molested by cute girls.

Seems Blue Reflection might be getting a patch that fixes the crashes in chapter 7.
steamdb.info/app/658260/history/

So Fumi's first fragment is "Changes equipped skill." I assume it makes it more powerful but I'm not sure.

Okay so I'm into Ch. 3 of Blue Reflection and I am thoroughly in love with the music. It is so peaceful and relaxing.

It actually reminds me of FFXs music, does anyone else get that feeling or am I alone in that?

I've heard people say it's a mixture of Atelier and Final Fantasy. OST link if you want:
mega.nz/#!xThEgArY!QfEo2P4TYsu5BfRyarwvBwQplR13UPSAKaDXwZ_u-M4

Feelio when waiting on new GPU to play this.

I've heard there's a bug in chapter 7 that prevents progress or something. Is that on the coolguy version, or steam goys only?

On Chapter 5b so I'll find out soon enough, there's a temp fix listed in the steam forums and I think Koei might actually push through a patch that fixes that. Maybe.

Sorry, I don't have that one. I only got up to Chapter 4.

Hit the anger zone and my game did freeze. We'll see if that new patch they're promising will fix it.

Now is that pirate version, or goy?

Arrgh. But people on the steam forums say the same thing.

Well, that's rather unfortunate. Here's hoping the release scene is on the up and up and puts out a patch near immediately come tomorrow.

Patch is out, shown to fix the bug. But I don't have a link with me. I'll post one if I can get one.

Because fujoshi like guys fucking guys

bump

Got the patch, bug is fixed but seems abit more choppy, at least for me. I'll upload now but it'll take awhile. All you really need to copy across is the data files.

Oh! And here's the torrent file if you don't want to wait for my mega links. Should work on the igg release, which is the one I use.

And here ya go, if you want the magma patch.

Yuri is shit but Atelier has some great fucking soundtracks

FitGirl is doing a repack of BR with the 1.01 patch, not sure what the recent 1.02 patch adds.

I'm always up for games with young, underage, girls doing cute things but I'm currently swamped with games to play.

Doesn't help that the western release of Ar nosurge was completely buried. It was my GOTY2015, fuck witcher 3.

But how many people even heard of it?

Doesn't help that they only released the sequel in English, so most people would be lost even if they did play it.

Could be for the best. I'm just saying that some games/series do better when the audience for it is limited, and wherein the publishers wind up having to embrace that fact, rather than trying to broaden it by cutting/changing content that might be keeping appeal niche (IE: the Yakuza 3 fiasco with Sega, in an attempt to expand the western market, removing some elements they felt were "too Japanese"). To my knowledge, Ar Tonelico before it was always pretty damn niche as well. I probably wouldn't have known about them, at least in a positive way, if I hadn't spent the last decade or more around imageboards.

Though, in particular with Ar Nosurge, beyond it just being a successor to Ar Tonelico, and what likely comes with that territory, there's some other reasons that have probably kept people from looking more into it:
And that's not getting started on the release format of the extended Vita port bringing its own specific turn-offs for potential buyers (at least from what I'd seen in Vita threads), despite that being considered the better version of the game.

Admittedly I still need to play Ar Nosurge myself. It's in my backlog but I'm planning to play its predecessors first. Probably going to hit up AT1 and 2 next (with the second having the fan-retranslation patch applied) after I beat the two-game series I'm currently playing.

Ciel does have a few online options to read/watch the game's scenes in English from what I've heard, but it is understandably not the same as actually being able to play through and experience the game in English yourself.

Oh man don't remind me.

I'm never letting it go: Vesperia PlayStation 3 and Ciel nosurge offline.

Just learn Japanese.

...

Vesperia PS3 actually got a full fan-translation (the first PS3 game to do so), and the guys that made it were nice enough to understand that not everyone can actually use the actual patch, and thus released a browser-script translation alongside it (though that still comes with the issue of having to read a different screen as you play and is thus not the most ideal set up). Hopefully one day there's a breakthrough to allow CFW (and thus use of unofficially patched games) on PS3s beyond 3.55, same as I hope there's some for Vitas past 3.60 (or at least feigning of official updates to play games currently hit with lockout on lower OFW).

Isn't that ps3 emulator stable at this point?

TFW you bought a superslim PS3

I don't think Qoga had anything to do with Ar nosurge's sales bombing, at the least when it comes to Japan. After all, it says a lot it was the game that had the best opening week in the trilogy, and its total sales are only second to the first game's.

How about no.

Not sure how it's been doing on average, but I know it was doing well enough with emulating Persona 5 that Atlus got asspained about it.

I bought a slim 160gb when I got mine some years back, years before Vesperia's patch was finished. Unfortunately it had turned out to be the second make of it, which meant it's factory firmware was past 3.55 and thus can't be flashed back

It still put an end to the series as Ar Tonelico (with its successor having having a similar, but different name). Or was that a case of it being an intentional final game instead? Not real well versed on the details of how the series was made. Anyhow, I suppose I'm looking at reception from more of a western standpoint, but even if initial sales were good in Japan (and I'd assume the series obviously did much better out there), that doesn't really tell me much as to what longer standing reception it got there was.

Did you ever played any of the games? Jesus Christ.

As was stated in , they are on my backlog and I'm looking to get into them soon, so I can't speak from my own experience yet as to if that would have been the intended end or not. I suppose I might be wrongly applying the way some other JRPG series I've liked bit the bullet before their intended time, due to the publishers (even, or perhaps especially, the ones involved with the Japanese releases), being disappointed with sales. Though, I suppose that more affects ones with an ongoing chronology and worldbuilding (which from what I've heard, Ar Tonelico has), as opposed to series comprised of entirely (or at least mostly) standalone entries.

Why are you ever making a point not only about one game, but about whole series when you hasn't even touched it?

Your opinions are unfactual shit.

Just started playing BR and already hate everything about this game - plot, characters, music, pacing. Will it get better or I should just drop it?

You should kill yourself for having such shit tastes.

Duh.

Should probably move onto something else if you're not liking it.

Nights of Azure 2 soon

Is the game fixed on PC yet? I'm not too confident in Gust games after Atelier Sophie fried my last CPU.

Yeah, October 4th patch fixed it
Surely you jest

It didn't actually break it but it was constantly hitting 100ºC while I was playing before I noticed the problem. After I changed the thermal paste and cleaned the heat sink it hovers at around 70-80ºC. Still, damn Sophie

If you'r CPU frying itself at 100% load you have only yourself to blame.

Thats not a game issue user
What are your sepcs?

Sophie? I heard there was a fix for that, either by a patch or the steam forums.
Also Shihori is pretty gay.

...

Isn't that the whole point?

Oh, and if you've wanted to play this, FitGirl did a repack of it with the 1.01 patch applied.

I'm playing it on 1600x900, because my computer is a toaster.

Rika? She does a bit. Also drawn by Mel.

Oh, it's mel? Didn't even know that. I haven't bought a gust game since escha logy, I just spotted this while browsing.

The new protagonists look too moe, it's making me feel uncomfortable.
I want my timid insecure idiot alchemists back

...

To be fair, their games have been going downhill lately.

Right decision. It was the last game with the remnants of Gust soul.

So finished BR. Kinda bittersweet with no real closure for the other girls, don't even find out if Rin gets her Senpai. Still, the multitude of interactions the girls had makes it worth playing I think.

I tried one of the Atelier games on Steam and it was a grindfest with absolutely nothing interesting going on. Is Blue Reflection more fun?

Steam only has the shitty ones I think. Try Atelier Totori.

I agree with the other guy, see if you can emulate any of the Arland games, they seem good.

Dusk is my favourite trilogy. rpcs3 can emulate Escha & Logy and Shallie without a hitch, not sure about Ayesha. They are more about keeping a tight schedule, if you want to get as much as you can out of your playthrough.

I miss the time restraints. I want bad endings in my gust games again.

How did you even manage to get the bad ending? They give you plenty of time.

Thank you, everyone. This is all the evidence I need to prove that dykeshitters are anti-male.
You'll hang with the creatures you worship.

You mean straight?

Don't fall for obvious bait.

hello angelicafag

So does anything actually happen or is it just a bunch of fag baiting and teasing like most Nip games have?

This (You) is to thank you for letting me know the board works again, FYI. Treat it with love and care. Wait, that's a foreign concept to your kind, oops.

Shihori is pretty gay but she doesn't end up with Hinako in the ending, unlike Arnice and Lilysse.
Still, I enjoyed it. Shihori acting that way was a pleasant surprise.

Is this some inside meme I don't know about?
