Well this is a Tony Hawk thread now so I'll talk about games I played, hopefully we can get a good discussion going.

Pro Skater 1 I played the shit out of as a kid and i love it in the same way, I love DMC1 for starting a great series.
Pro Skater 2 may be an overall improvement to 1, but I didn't play it nearly as much as 1 because they changed the physics. You feel much heavier in 2 and as a kid I was never able to adjust too it all that well.
Never played pro skater 3 or 4.

The next game I ended up owning was Underground 1 which I absolutely loved, starting as just an armature and then becoming a pro and earning the Respect of all the other Pro Skaters was awesome. also Eric stabbing you in the back is unforgettable and it leads to one of the best alt endings I'v ever seen. MP4 related.
I only rented Underground 2 I remember liking it allot, but I forgot too much about it, I should play it again some day.

American Wasteland might be my personal favorite, it just feels really comfy. You and all your friends are just being Skater Punks, not caring about property damage, and stealing a ton of stuff so you can build your own awesome skate park, and the game ends with a happy ending where you get the girl. it's just a real feel good game for me.

Project 8 was good, but it didn't have nearly the same impact as the other games for me. probably because the story was almost non-existent, trying to become the best skater in the world was cool though even if there was no real story behind it. and making the missions have rankings did at a nice challenge to the overall game.

Didn't play any of there others after that, It's a real Shame that Pro Skater 5 was just a shitty Cash grab and the Series had to go out with a wimpier like that.

Considering how much indie devs are out there trying to rejuvenate or do "their own vision" of their own childhood favorite games and genres, why there's not a notable one based on the original Pro Skater series? Activision keeps fucking up with that disappointment that was the HD remake and the horrible THPS5

I think the most fun I got from a skateboard game after the Skate series was OlliOlli2 but it's not really the same thing.
