i refuse to believe that.
no need for a chart, as most racing games are acceptable including niche sub-genres like vehicle combat games, extreme sports that require an automobile, "kart" racers and the like. Unless you only play high quality racing games.
find dedicated scene groups who crack/distribute linux versions like ACTiVATED to name one.

I don't think you get the point of a chart, then. I mean sure some charts have tiers, but the main purpose is just to have a list of games that people can look through to see if there's anything that interests them and they haven't heard of.

Do I need to unlock anything in Project Cars or can I safely ignore season mode? The weird handling of the cars makes me a little nervous to fuck up an important race.

Charts are made so that people who a) don't play a lot of videogames want to play the best of videogames only, b) to feel good about playing the best of the best that the a certain subject that the chart tackles offers.
If you want a list of games, there's tons of non-chart material that you can use.
