I meant PS streaming gaming service thing whatever it is called.
Of course PS versions of PSO2 are real games and not glorified videos.

That would be shameful. But as long as I'm getting my classes buffed I'll be satisfied. I'm not Hero player.

Oh, yeah. That Playstation Now won't work for shit, either. The infrastructure for streaming like that just isn't there outside of Japan, South Korea, and a few European countries.
I love hero and probably won't be interested in playing the other classes until another advanced one comes out, and I'm all for buffing the way the previous classes work, but I hate that people seem to be forgetting the advanced in advanced class. Hero is supposed to be better than the classes that came before it. Sega could have avoided this situation entirely by releasing multiple advanced classes for Episode 5.

To be honest Hero feels like a beginner class to me.
Sure he is powerful, but he's also very simple to play. No fuckery with stances, or different builds, or conditions for maximum damage.
He actually takes less skill or knowledge to play than most other classes. It's just raw power and mobility that makes him this good.

That's not entirely true. Hero boost is a significant chunk of your damage (60%). Considering that PSO2 players just came out of 5 years of slamming their heads into walls and letting automate and iron will save them, they'll never see a lot of hero's potential. That's why it's an advanced class.

That doesn't compare to limit break or chain trigger though. Or necessity to grind for s rainbow palette of 13* weapons.

so a niche mmo is coming to much more niche system instead of west pc

PSO2 is the second most popular mmo in japan with a huge chunk of gaijins playing it all over the world.
It's not WOW but I wouldn't call it niche.

it's not even out for the west switch, why would it even out for the west pc?

It's a matter of brand recognition. If I go up normalfags and ask them if they played any phantasy star games the reply I'd get back would probably be.

"I love Final Fantasy, I've pretty much played them all :^D, 7 is my favorite"

Unless they're properly into gaming and are knowledgeable of different series and such I doubt many people would recognize the PSO series. I put in the same realm as SMT, Dynasty warriors, Stalker, or some other foreign produced game with a sizable if not cryptic following.

PS2 is the only RPG I think I've played where the world and movement through it was to scale of the character sprites.

You couldn't play it without the guidebook, either -the game actually came with it packaged.

Also, fite me.
