Make sure to set texture quality to medium. Some maps can cause instability when it set to high.

Also, if you have an error with a map, go to steam>steamapps>sourcemods>fas>maps
and delete whichever map was giving you issues.

Is your Steam installation and the sourcemods folder you're using in different drives? I had this problem and it only worked when they were both in the same one.

Did so every time. I tried it with steam off first, then while steam was on.

The only thing I am mildly confused about is the patch. There is no prompt when extracting it into the source mod folder, nor details in the readme for it. The first time I just dropped the files right into the game folder, and replaced them. Then tried to see if it worked with the two folders separate. Finally, just the game file to see if it can even show up in steam.

Every file on my computer is on one drive, so this isn't the problem on my end.

Source SDK Base 2007, install and launch it once, then restart Steam.

That's just moddb being weird, it works like any other sourcemod so you should be fine. Worst case mess with Wine/Play on Linux.

The Hidden: Source would be ideal for an off-weekend actually. The 9 player limits doesn't work for one of the full gamenights but it means you can have fun with as little as 4 anons.

Oh and RnL is fun but clunkier even than RO:OST. Sadly a lot of the community left after the autistic clans moved in.

Cheek weld on rk95 is a bit better than on the 62 but the folding stock on 95 is low quality in my opinnion and noticably affects accuracy when compared to 62, I've changed to my hazmat suit isnide the bmp2 passenger comparment with the rk62 in tow and I can safely say the folding stock wouldnt have made any difference in how damn uncomfortable that was.
I suspect its not an issue in the tacticool version they only give to special forces and peace keepers in pic related.

One guy plays as "the Hidden", a human experiment that escaped. He's nearly invisible and can jump far. He can one-hit players on the other team with his knife. Other players play as marines trying to hunt down and kill the Hidden. It's loads of fun, definitely recommend you trying it even if you can't

Had the same problem user, take the "fas" folder out of the main folder where it was located and place it in steammods. Now it works fine for me.

You can always launch it manually by using Source SDK Base 2007 (found under tools). Just add this to the launch parameters:
-game ..\..\sourcemods\fas

The fas folder has always been placed into sourcemods folder.
I have been trying that with various different launch parameters and nothing works. I just get an error saying that "gameinfo.txt" wasn't in the directory despite it actually existing in the fas folder.

We tend to AVOID anything like that like the plague so that the current /radcorp/ doesn't end up dying like it did back in the original days. The whole concept of gamenights isn't a privatized thing, all our discussions about "what to host" are held here on Holla Forums for the "official" stuff that is hosted every fortnight while /radcorp/ is held mostly as an archive board where you can test OPs, throw ideas, concepts, keep links for all to see and to keep handy, etc. (using these terms like "official" and "unofficial" for lack of better ones. For the record we don't own a monopoly on gamenights, we just like making it easier for anons to organize themselves. Anyone can host even if it wasn't thought up and planned on our board)

As I said here: Anyone can come in, pitch ideas and concepts and host. Its open to all who are interested. If you want to be more involved like become a regular host or something to that effect, anyone of the "rad officers" would be willing to share a Steam username or a Tox ID or whatever you feel comfortable with.

Not sure if I feel like playing again, it was fun and all but the guns are massively unbalanced. SKS is by far the single best gun; perfect accuracy, good power and capacity. M60 is also great for camping with the bipod. Nothing else is close to as useful. Can Radcorp's autism iron out this game with a mod?

Source is good tbh, the netcode plays well with lag, and a bunch of us have 150+ pings. Also it runs well on toasters.

Freespace is a 3D space flight arcade shooter made by Volition in 1999. It, and its sequel, have a large modding community. I believe they managed to even get the main singleplayer campaign to work with multiplayer co-op. I think it would be fun fighting giant warships with a squad of Holla Forumsirgins.
