Small unknown games thread

Lets talk about games that are small and relatively unknown, even on this board.

Atomega looks pretty fun, its a strange FPS with no progression outside matches bullshit.
Its published by Ubisoft though, but so was Grow Up by the same devs and that one turned out fine.

FightN'Rage is a Beat'em up by some faggot from Ur Gay, which releases today in a few hours.
The pixel art and fighting system looks fucking great, its full of references to other games, and you get to genocide furries

I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk about this game, it's low budget and repetitive as all fucks, but the combat was fun enough to keep me addicted for a good number of hours. It has surprisingly good animations for the otherwise craptastic production values, it even comes with awkward English and typos.

is this the designated indieshit thread?

Yes

that looks awful

Not as bad as your post

Ten and Til

If you're looking for a fun shmup, this one's pretty solid. It's almost an hour long though, so it's more exhausting to play compared to the average shmup.

The heavy pixelation really bothers me
Otherwise it looks great

The DROD games never get talked about and are pretty cool

Fidel Dungeon rescue is another game made in Urgay I think. Short but gud

excellent.

you say that while posting a pic of a doujin where the protagonist fucks and cums inside a furry.

really makes me think 🤔

...

come on son, you're on an anonymous tabloid for Vanuatu-an wooden slit drums, no need to be a hypocrite to save face here.

I prefer /zoo/ myself. I bet Made pussy feels like heaven

MARE pussy

Bump

Holy shit is everyone on this board act mentally handicapped just so they can excuse their fetish?

Freeware metroidvania(kind of, it's fairly linear compared to the rest and follows more of a simon's quest type of deal). Shit graphics aside it's actually really well done.

I'm triggered more by some of the voice acting than by the graphics, but looks fun overall.

The most you get is Robert Belgrade, a line before most bosses and Lecarde's voice himself.
Personally I'm more triggered by the fact that you play a lecarde and you use swords instead of a spear. I mean god damn.

My trips override the report.

I'm triggered by my inability to get the game to recognize my 360 controller or allow any key remapping.

stick benis in boober

pioneer space sim, it's pretty much what elite dangerous should have become, this game deserves much more attention than it has right now

Smells like a shill thread.

It's a shill thread for games that haven't actually been shilled before. Which is a change of pace, if nothing else.

I played the games on Hansonworld with my younger sister when I was 7 or so. My older sister was obsessed with them and I think it was on a disk

...

you say that while posting a cropped picture of eveeloution fanmade porn

Don't think too hard furfag or you'll realise that in all likelyhood he has no idea where that picture is from, and you've just outed yourself as some cat fucking degenerate with your encyclopedic knowledge of cartoon animal sex art.

Bump

I suggest you check out Heart&Slash if you think it might be fun: it's a combination stylish action game and 3D room-based roguelite, with Megaman Legends styled graphics. Admittedly pretty buggy and messed up, but I still like it.

Now that's a good game.
A shame it's so unknown.

Degica needs to market the games they publish/localize better.

Well they can have my shitty webms.

So. They did all of MN9, in a budget price, and added more content in general. An user should make a "Better than 9" parody trailer.

This is the coolest fucking shit.

...

I'd prefer they stop injecting DRM into their localizations before anything else.

The fuck?

This is pretty cool. It's open too and written in C++. I'll probably dig around and try contributing.

Last minute Ghost 1.0 bump.

Atomega looks like hot garbage my man.

ECHO is a neat stealth based third person shooter thats starts off as a well put together walking sim.
It's set on some planet wide palace that goes all the way down to the core.
There's a mechanic where enemies start off knowing nothing but will learn from your actions if you things while detected.
The MC is literally a fucking horrendous troglodyte pixie though. It's like someone reformed her entire skull with a hammer.

Also, Rainworld motherfuckers, play it.

My problem with Atomega is just that it seems extremely unbalanced. Like, once a player has hit that super god form, it could just become a fight between that super god and the other players one stage below: all the dinosaurs and shit below them may as well be nonexistent, they're basically pigeons involved in a battle between tanks.

Looks fun. I wanna try it.

You want unknown, it doesn't get much more unknown than shit like this. It's a cheap lil' boss rush game where you play as a girl with horns and you fight different dragons.

delete this

...

you mean this?

That looks fucking great
Gameplay looks too simple, but the art looks amazing

...

The adventures of little Ralph

This right the fuck here

It's like beating the shit out of legendary Pokemon, which is neat.

Speaking of Boss Rush games, Banana Nababa is pretty great. Great use of the Gremlins 2 theme, too.

Although everybody here knows about Daisuke Amaya and Cave Story, I feel that Kero Blaster gets little discussion, which is a shame, because it's a simple action platformer with great gameplay and even some difficulty on later stages.

Go play it, it even runs perfectly on Loonix with WINE.

The Russians from Sigma Team made some pretty good twin stick shooters in the 2000's. The "Alien Shooter" and "Zombie Shooter" series are well made, with good level design that encourages finding destructible walls for secrets and weapons, cheesy dialog and tons of shit to kill. I think the first "Zombie Shooter" is a good introduction to the series. (haven't tried it on Linux yet, so I don't know if it works with WINE or not)

Only ever talked with one user about them

what happened to the team making it?

...

Whoa, really? I think it looks like shit
I think the artstyle looks like shit too

user I saw it before but ignored it because of the shitty fake CTR filters. This entire thread is so depressing. The only indieshit that looks remotely interesting is Cuphead , Grimoire : Heralds of the Winged, A Hat in Time and some cute-robot Isometric 3D platforming game an user posted a few weeks ago but I can't remember what it was called. Aside form the last one the others are note very "unknown".

Could it be Speedbot?
Then cheer us up with some games, user.

Oh its Speebot!
that was what I was doing when I mentioned Cuphead , Grimoire, A Hat in Time and Speebot.

...

seconding this
will check it out, thanks

Locomalito games are almost all worth playing and mostly Freeware. Most anons know about Maldita Castilla (which got an updated release on (((Steam))) and consoles) and Hydorah (which had the same treatment recently), but Curse of Issyos is a fucking great game (think Castlevania set in Ancient Greece) . If you're fan of NES action platformers this is a game with great level design, music and difficulty. It's free to download on Locomalito's website (it also works well on Linux via WINE)
locomalito.com/curse_of_issyos.php

user the reason no one talks about Locomalito is because The Curse of Issyos is a two year old mediocre Castlvania clone that was promoted by Goons and Maldita Castilla was shilled to death here.

itch.io is a decent place to search for free indieshitz
archive.is/CIsqR

Didn't know anything about the goons promoting of the game, but that's more internet drama than related to the game itself. I know Maldita Castilla was shilled (>shilling a free game) here, but for the same reason, most of the remaining games made by Locomalito (except maybe Hydorah) are not discussed very much here.
I don't think Curse of Issyos is a "mediocre fangame" at all. but I think Lecarde Chronicles I & II are better, though.
Also, play both Castlevania The Lecarde Chronicles games.

I support the creation of new Castlevanias and all, but I can't support Lecarde Chronicles myself. And that's because the game won't support my 360 controller or let me rebind the keys.

That said, though, if you want a really good vania, check out Pharaoh Rebirth.

Fuck are there any games that give a feeling like LSD Dream Emulator and Goblet Grotto? I've been trawling around for weird games but haven't found anything else like them.

Have you played Crypt Worlds? It's the only game I know of that's similar.

Oh fuck, thanks user, that infograph is EXACTLY what I was looking for.

What I mean is it was shilled by Retsupurae. Plus, the free game is $11.99 on (((Steam))). The moral of the story is that is hard to say that Locomalito is "unknown" online. That Castlvania game needs better spite art at least for the MC, but it looks interesting.

so you where looking for trash?

I remember someone from the other small unknown games thread was talking about a future-egyptian absurdist RPG called Void Pyramid. And Where They Cremate The Roadkill is scheduled to come out in a couple days, actually.

...

I hate seeing this thread come so close to deletion, so… here's something nobody's heard of.
It's like a rogue-lite Pac-Man clone, random maps filled with pellets you gotta collect to progress, but then there's also weird varied power ups you collect if you make long chains of picking up pellets.

I haven't had the chance to try this yet, I can't find any download for it, but it looks pretty cool. You take Smash, but instead of a bunch of different characters, you have ten different schools of martial arts, and you can combine two to get a fighter with skills from both.

You can turn off all the filters from the options menu, you autistic faggot.
The game is excellent, has tons of defensive options, takes more skill than most beat 'em ups, has alternate paths, shittons of unlockables and great tiddies.

I highly recommend against the first lecarde chronicles. It's pretty rough around the edges and at times it's utter bullshit by virtue of said roughness. Especially combined with how brutal some of the later levels can be.
Either that or I just suck, but getting hit by a musket offscreen or just as I enter visual range is bull.

Pokemon with Guns

That said, not as good as I had hoped, but there's like 40 games on this system so I'll take what I can get.

Style and name is homage to Downwell which is also not very well known game imho that deserves to be mentioned - it's a minimalistic permadeath shmup made for platformer fans
