Is it actually good?

Yes but lots of bugs right now.

If this game lets me waifu lizard girls, then I'll torrent it asap

sweet gimmick builds: OS 2

Have a Divinity OS installed on my toaster PC for 2 years now. Dropped somewhere around the first city. After seeing threads of OS2, I might give it another shot

So did you bone her?

Also, is anyone else having issues with the torrent that was in the last thread? A bunch of my Fort Joy quests won't mark as completed.

Yeah. Best game released this year so far.

Is it different from the first Original Sin? I was originally excited for the first one but got bored pretty fast.

...

kys

They improved on everything. I don't know what you found boring about the first game but this has better combat, writing, options, graphics, ect.

Yes. It was all a setup by the pimp. She liked my bone so much that she sided with me in the fight.

I don't even remember myself. I just wasn't really pulled in by anything. The tone was a little too lighthearted and the combat was a little boring. I also didn't much care for the 2 main characters setup.

Can I fuck everything?

Does it have Denuvo? I think I'll pirate it once it gets a few patches.

...

if i'm playing coop with one friend, should i avoid using the extra party members from the ship and keep all the XP for the both of us? or does everyone get equal XP regardless of party size

just fun with friends or can billy no mates enjoy?

Wait.. can I be an undead bard in this game?

It's fun with solo or co op but I will bull you for being a no friends nerd.

pls no

Is the combat faster or do the enemies atleast take their turns faster? This was my biggest gripe with the first one. Tactician just throws more enemies at you and battles start taking 30 minutes+ simply because of all the moving and animations.

FANTASTIC

Divinity has the best waifus.
Play Dragon Commander, you can marry a skeleton in that game. I post a video of her, but I can't find any of them that don't also spoil the game.

I pirated it this weekend, after the first battle on the beach my game crashes in a few minutes. Being poor fucking sucks.

Have they fixed the armor system yet? no? ill keep waiting then.

Check TPB, Dauphong uploaded patches for the GOG version.

Oh, noice.

There's actually something hilarious I found with chain of pain and bone armor

The highest damage I've cheesed off this tactic was around 2500.

Bitch gives you a permanent -2 constitution. Are ANY of her rewards worth that?

fug

also Dorfs are thicc

Nice, but the problem is finding enough corpses. I spread my damage around and CC shit until it dies, so by the time one enemy dies there are 3 more on the brink of death and the fight is won.

I wanted to ask just how cringy the "humor" in the game is. Is it as bad as in other Larian games?

I'm rerolling Fane because I felt like my last attempt should have been a lot smoother. I'm going to do a primarily magical party instead of primarily physical. What would be good class choices? I'm thinking of throwing Necromancy and Geomancy on Fane, maybe grabbing some Warfare later on for additional tank. Will this work well? Should I try to have a phys tank in the group? What other classes do I want to have in the party? And is it worth keeping a 5th unattached rogue around to pull out for thievery?

The houndmaster? I had a ton of trouble with him when my party was at level 3. Went around, killed the crocs, did quests to get to level 4, used teleportation gloves for exploration, and ended up with a fair bit of loot. Went back and fought them, kited them back to the rubble in the hallway (turns out that it doesn't block arrows as long as it's enemies firing them, go figure), managed to take them down after a really exhausting fight that saw me blow through 3 rez scrolls.

The animal writing feels kinda mediocre, but it hasn't been that bad overall. I genuinely disliked the DOS1 writing and ended up dropping the game, but this feels a lot better. There's some humor, but it doesn't seem too cringey.

YMMV though, and I've only gotten out of the fort.

First game was pretty bad, this one I haven't even encountered anything trying to be funny. I mean you can come across so quirky shit, specifically with pet pal trait. For intense in the starting area there is a crab who thinks he is a grand sorcerer.

There's one. It's hilarious though
Choose the last option. It gives you a glowing idol of rebirth that auto rezzes you when you die at the expense of using a rez scroll to charge it (You can even charge it mid battle with 1AP). It's pretty handy for solo players
But don't let her kiss you. Pick her pockets when she's ready to kiss you because the item spawns when you choose it as a reward
Run away from spider

I'm playing solo, there's no "spreading" as it is more nuke one person to death then rinse and repeat to the next poor sod.

I got Fane is my party and I use him as utility with pyromancy and geomancy. I also have two lizard knight so I can chain stun with fire for days and one super tanky dorf battlemage who is just kinda there with no specific role.

Also for some quest, it's worth delaying handing it in as some quest reward gears are generated according to your level. I've just finished a quest that gives me level 9 rewards but the unique reward is a 2h hammer at level 15.

At least mobs don't seem to be leveled..

The quest enemies and mobs aren't levelled, but the loot is mostly area levelled with the trader stock being updated every level and the quest reward uniques.

Not kissing the spider for her +2 strength vemon. What are ya a fag?

Exp is equal regardless of party size. If you and your friend just want to control one character each, you can get the lone wolf talent power you up while only having two people in the party.

Theres no bard class/skills but there is a mod on the nexus that adds it in.

At least it doesn't kill progression like shitrim.

There are mods already?

question is there porn of spider
i want to dick spider

A couple of asshole skeletons wander around aimlessly and steal peoples paintings: the game. Real shame art prices got nerfed though.

Actually I found that item in her inventory when I first talked to her. Not for sale, yes of course I pick everyone's pocket.

Speaking of pickpocketing, Note that it's once per party member per npc. You can go back to the ship and swap skills around to let everyone pickpocket. You might be able to hire some mercs to do it too. High level skill recommended (with gear and talent bonuses), it's about +50% each rank, multiplicitive Rank 8 is 14800 value, rank 9 is 23300

So when do I actually get the ability to make the undead mask thing?

Honestly I don't know if I'll be able to endure this bullshit for the whole 30 hours or however long this game is.

Source orbs can be purchased (for a rediculously high price) at the start of act 2. You would need 5 of them, which would cost around 25k.

Alternatively, bring Fane and meet the witch who stole his mask on the beach shortly after the keep in act 1, and take it from her.

You can customize your character freely at creation and take whatever the fuck you want from that point.

Haven't made it off the island yet but I did get the mask from that bitch after killing her. Good to know I didn't miss anything obvious.

Yeah nah.
Sage

Not giving the faggot above me a (you) because fuck niggers.

You can find a Faceripper on Kniles the Flenser, he's on the floor above the holding area in the fort joy prison.

Any faggot that want to start a coop campaign?

No idea how this will turn out.
Server ID: 1RA3TDD7PWEPYB

Good luck skelebros, Im still downloading it atm

Go back to the Youtube comment section, you fucking faggot.

Waiting is killing me slowly.
Add me on GOG: jestercraft
Maybe try to organize when more anons are alive

Is it just me or did they really tone back the humor in this? Even the Jester tag responses only get you negative reactions.

Just got to Reaper's Coast, playing as a huntsman/geomancer. Game is pretty good, writing isn't great but everything else is very nice which makes the game worth playing. Enjoying the difficulty very much, especially the boss fight at the end of Chapter 2.

Oh shit I'm playing this right now! Just need to remake because I fucked up my character.

I think I'll just be a human first time around and then skelly for next game.

But seriously… "lady'o'war"? I was hoping this game was going to be free of SJWshit.

You guys do this with every fucking game. 3 lines or 1 character can be SJW and suddenly the whole game is. Some user will sperg and plaster the board with the 1 thing like this was Dreamfall Chapters. There is next to zero progressive garbage in here.

Human is probably a good idea. Unless you rely HEAVILY on Mages with poison, that Undead trait is going to do more harm than good (enemies ARE smart enough to heal you).

Just so you know though, once you finish Act 1 you can change out all of your abilities, talents, and attributes for free as often as you want for at least the rest of act 2, for all of your party members, as well as getting one last chance to pick any of the main party members.

Sweet as man you just saved me several hours of playtime.

I love the game, it's a serious breath of fresh air into the CRPG genre and the content is legitimately challenging. I was just annoyed at ships being called 'lady-of-war' as who the fuck has ever (at any point in history) heard of a female sailor?

So can pirates play coop

My warriors killed the last boss in the game in one turn. They're like the inverse of wizard/warrior progression in D&D: in D:OS 1 melee start out very weak, but end up as the most powerful single target damage in the game.

Yes the game is on GoG….

Pirates are stupid

Aren't ships usually referred to as "she"?

Vessels are female. All machines are female in a classical sense. Are you daft?

Its a historical term. You can't borrow a historical term and then change it and not expect people to roll their eyes.
It's like calling a scimitar a scimicurvy.

Yep playin with 4 friends, just find a gog version and you're set

Were "Man-of-War" class frigates still referred to as female? I assume so, but that still sounds kind of weird to me.

...

how are you playing exactly

in what fucking game can you kiss a stupid spider anthromorph?

ur stupid

will this work on my toaster if I use lowest settings?

Host sets up a game and other players can connect to it through IP or server name provided in game

And they're all pirated versions?

user, just download the gog installer and find out.

Yup. be sure to get the patches too up it should be v3.0.141.999

Yes. they were. but the game literally just takes the historical term "Man-of-war" and replaces "Man" with "Lady."

wew

game's a lot more fun right off the bat compared to the first.

Best RPG since Shadowrun Dragon that's for sure. Better than Pillars, Tides, Skyrim, and FO4. I'd say it's the best since W3 but autistic hate on W3 is babby lore and snore battle.

With the amounts of bugs and micro management needed for 4 man party this game really needs Enhanced Edition, or at least big patches.

I'm surprised my computer can run it at all

How's yours compared to mine?

Missed opportunity.

Incarnate and totems.

True enough, but they don't count as "Creatures". You also have no control over them.

Totems are pretty OP though. I often wonder if I wouldn't be better served by a party of all Summoners. Then again, putting together +summoning gear for one character is hard enough.

I know, it's disappointing. I saw "necromancy" and "summoning" in skills so naturally I went FUCK YE but my enthusiasm was short lived.
Current action points system is also dogshit. There's barely any difference between fast and slow characters.

Movespeed and mobility spells make a lot of difference, I'm not sure if I prefer this AP system or DivOS1's. It's definitely simpler.

The first game should go on a sale already

You mean Divine Divinity or OS1?

fug

OS1, I don't want to play sequel without having playing that one

So judging my the OP I can be a massive racist in this game right?

I think DivOS2 is more of a direct sequal to Divine Divinity than DivOS1, taking place almost immediately after the Divine (main charater from DivDiv I think) is killed.

MONSTER GIRL GAMU DEMO 2 SOON!!!!

He gets better.

But a spider's pusspuss is right where you'd expect it to be.

Does he? I can't remember if he was ever actually freed at the end of DKS

Good, Larians humor is shit.

There is also a steamfix version out.

Playing at 1024 x 768 on my fx 4300 and an r7 250 on low / medium with no shadows.

You see him out waving to people prior to your character fucking off into the sunset to rape, pillage and burn the armies of his son.

Just like irl

Did anyone else romance the lava slug princess as the red prince? If there's not a follow up quest where I make love to the lava slug princess I'm going to be very disappointed.

Do tell. This gay is turning out pretty fun.

GAME*

fag

Why is Holla Forums so fucking gay anyways?

I swear to god Holla Forums has a higher concentration of homosexuals than /lgbt/

Faggots attract faggots.

They are just loud. Like all faggots.

make ready your penis faggot

incoming lewds…

...

Could you crush a princess's lava slug heart?

I did

why haven't other devs been this good at game design

BAD END- She was a bit of hothead. You could say her passion for me was heating up until I burnt her.

Now for the alternate ending…

Quality party right there.

If I don't get to consummate the lava slug princess relationship this will be the worst blue balling I've ever received.

Is there a good torrent somewhere?
All the stuff on PB is either outdated or sketchy

Can you post torrents here or is that illegal?

The only thing illegal here is not bullying your tender ass.

Looks like they took notes about the first game. The dialog is bretty good, specifically choice 2 in 1st pic

It won't let me post any torrents. I'm using the pirated GoG version.

TIME TO PURGE!!!!!

...

Just post magnet

Sorry user, in this game, scalies are the one who enslave and purge.

I'll be honest. I haven't pirated any games in several years. Someone gave me my torrent. I don't know what a magnet is or what it does.

Go to your program used for dowloading torrents
Left click on the torrent of the game
Click "copy magnet"
Copy and paste it here
Cmon user, im the one asking to be spoon feed here, why do you have to teach you the basics?

Larian studios seems to be expert in that domain

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:6B9AF870E4BDBF89F2E949CB27111EAD94BBE1D7&dn=CoC%201.3.2%20-%20Build%206.7z

try this?

Has anyone here even bought the game?

thats it
thank you

...

that me, in every sense

me too

I didn't even play the first one. If they had a demo I would have tried it at least perhaps. I'm currently jobless so I'm not going to be buying any new games.

I devs are probably SJWs. If they knew my politics they probably wouldn't want my money anyway.

Fargo on fucking suicide watch

I'll most likely buy it after the first game(or the whole franchise before this game) goes on sale and I finish it

So is the game doing well or not? I want it to do well, because so far I really like it.

I wonder if there will be any long term consequences for exterminating Magisters

Can I exterminate boatloads of liggers like in Divine Divinity?

I have yet to encounter a single nigger or orc.

At least none that I've noticed anyway

rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/divinity-original-sin-2-is-a-huge-success-has-already-sold-nearly-500-000-copies.118331/

...

It's on GOG.

Well thats pretty fair, i mean PC version wont get hurt by this

Anything console is always a degradation. It might spare this game but any future game will be poisoned by console compatibility at a basic level.

They did the same thing with the first game, ported to console about one year after IIRC(and did pretty good on consoles too). If this game's PC version isn't consolized I doubt the third one will be

Thats console plebs problem, not mine

The idea is it also degrades the PC version.

I bought it. The good goy collectors edition.

I actually did, but only after I realized how much of a pain it would be to manually update to play with my friends.

Funny, the one game I actually bought in months is completely DRM free, and would have allowed me to play online without having paid a dime.

Wait till you get the HERO tag. Then absolutely everyone hates you whenever you open your gob.

I bought it because I'm too lazy to always update the game.

I gambled on the kikestarter based on how good OS1 was and never played the beta. I'm not disappointed.

I torrented it, played it for a few hours, liked it enough to purchase it at full price.

Got to act 3, some thoughts and notes for people still in the early game, spoiler free:

Necromancy skills aren't very good on their own, meaning that it's a support skill. They're mostly utility.

Polymorph is THE utility skill. EVERYONE should have at least 2 points in it by the end of act 1 for the juicy defensive options it gives you.

Summoning is mostly all or nothing. It has a small selection of useful skills that aren't summoning based. The summon themselves can be useful even with just 1 point in it for extra healing or for putting down patches of fire/oil/poison down. At lvl 10, the summons get a huge boost in dmg and survivability.

The crafted skills are usually quite good, so make use of them.

Lucky Charm and Thievery are infinite money, you absolutely need at least one character that focuses on one of them. You can give traders free stuff to raise their reputation and get a huge discount, which stacks with Bartering. And you need a ton of money for skill books and to keep buying armor. As a side note, you don't find nearly enough gear to keep your characters appropriately geared, so you NEED to buy stuff every other level at the very least.

does anybody have the compilation of comments of people who complained about the difficulty? I can't find it anywhere, thanks

nigger just buy better gear

i don't know anything about computer specs but I'm pretty sure yours is much better because I just use a laptop from 2012

People mostly bitched about the armor system slowing the combat down and how it punishes varied party builds.

Damn Geralt really needs to lay off that alcohest

Totally agree. I'm having a difficult time but it's just encouraging me to do better and be smarter about placement. Hell I think I even found an alternate way to do the teleporter glove escape but just not properly leveled for it

You talking about for the first game? I got it here.

Pirated it first but then bought it after playin it for a few hours.

I am really enjoyin the first area so far, I kinda wish scoundrel could work with other weapons besides daggers.

>lizard lady looking comfy and well boned on the bed
fuck I may have to get this.

That's three billy goats gruff, isn't it?

...

any other early game tips? i have one: don't play wizard fire mages in co-op unless you want to sperg over positioning each round with your friends. fire everywhere

Nice.

Just finished as a lone wolf
Air magic/rain rapes everything not immune to it
Thunderstorm is probably the best of the "ultimate" spells

Pyro's amazing if you have no melee.

The best early game tip would be to craft as much as possible to make money and buy armor every level. Having everyone in level appropriate armor makes an immense difference, and you need Lucky Charm/Thievery to do that early on.

what's the current version? there's a lot of torrents out there

Without spoilers, are source points painfully limited like in Act 1 or can you use those powers freely later on?

Bless being nerfed from early access to cost source now really puts a damper on my plans to (in a future playthrough) play a DEUS VULT paladin who bathes all degenerates in holy fire

Call me when they add content and nit just patches for bugs I haven't run into.

Infinite source with a PITA in early act 2 and infinite source with some mild combat related restraints past that.

In other news, I went up against a boss that makes original Demogorgon look like a tutorial rat. The doctor is in.

Also remember to kill absolutely everyone before leaving an act. Yes this includes the townsfolks and all other past quest NPC. If they're moving, you're doing it wrong.

Once you get hit Act 2, you learn how to wield more source by finding source masters to learn from. It increases the number of source points you can have at a time. There's also source fountains to collect infinite amount of source from.

...

...

...

en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Roleplaying

Fuck it I think I'm just gonna play singleplayer.

There's an infinite source point in act 1 too, in the room with the cursed lever, near where you rescue the seeker leader.

I killed everyone on the boat and now they're alive again in the fort

This game is too hard.

Remember when you almost drowned but someone saved you? same goes for every origins characters

I tried that too. It sucks. They didn't even give any exp
Do you meet any of the magisters from the boat in the fort?

They die if you dont bring them along for the lady vengeance fight.

Which is extremely confusing. Malady explicitly says that she saves the Godwoken, and they're all Godwoken.

It's the little things.

Skellies are all fine and good, but where's my bug men of varying species?

Play Legend of Grimrock.

Fuck this game sometimes.

Kill the real one and they all die.

Jesus fucking Christ will he die already?

Based on the previous game and what little I know of this one if anything it has increased in complexity post console release.
Maybe consoles themselves aren't the problem? Just a thought.

Well he IS the Damned One, so no.

THE PERFECT CRIME

just waypoint teleport away. They give up searching after like 10 seconds if they don't see anyone.

Anyone have a mega.nz download?

In act 3, if someone can answer this question regarding Lohse's quest: how are you supposed to kill Adramahlihk? I can't burst him down before he possesses Lohse and even if I kill all of his buddies, his invincibility doesn't go away. Just spend over 2 hours to get through the fight by turtling through his ridiculous damage output, not interested in doing that again if there's some quest I need to do before that.

Hoping the sequel has a bit less busy work. Still grinding through OS1 and it is a serious grind with 4 people on the verge of overencumberance at all times trying to figure out what is craftable, what books are read, etc….

Combat is ok but with levelups being so far and few between I am shy about spending skillpoints to get anything.

Spoilers for Act 3
>Get in the literal race for divinity
>Get so far ahead I actually got out of range for the turn based combat and exited into real time, completing the rest of the race casually
HAVE TO GO FAST

Crafting feels pretty neutered in DivOS2. You can't really craft or upgrade good equipment as far as I know (other than socketing runes). Crafting is still useful for skillbooks, ammo, grenades and maybe food/potions if you want to use them,

Can you do more than just combat now though, I hated not having enough points to put into any crafting or social skill, since everything had to go into weapon and combat skills. Thus requiring a designated crafter mule.

I'm thinking of rolling a heavy armor dual wielding blender Elf. I'm a little worried about armor aesthetics however. Do all armor sets change apperance based on the race of the person wearing them? IE do all elf armor sets look like they've got bark and leaves glued to them? Or can you put an elf in plate-mail looking armor?

Enjoy your leaves and greens, it's all racial apart from certain uniques

There are no crafting skills anymore. Social skills have a separate pool of points

Enjoy your salad armor

Yes, the same piece of armor will look vastly different for humans and elves. Every single fucking thing your elf puts on will look like they shaved it off the side of a tree.

Looking for some build and party composition help. I want to make a strength based dual wield melee character. Some one who can get in quick hack up the enemies with reckless abandon. Was thinking Warfare + Pyrokenetic because I like the idea of a whirlwind of death surrounded by flames, but I'm not married to the idea. Was thinking Elf for flesh sacrifice, but Lizard or Human might work just as well. Not sure if they should be the party tank or not. I don't want to stretch them too thin so maybe a party tank other then them? What would be good supporting roles for this type of character? was thinking Cleric (heals) + Enchanter (cc)+ Tank or Rogue depending on how tanky the build ends up.

Any help you guys can offer would be appreciated. I'm shit at trying to make builds outside of cookie-cutter classes in games.

TLRD; Str melee dual wield build request.

Is a two-hander knight/fighter/whatever viable in this game? Or is it one of those where only wizards or cheesy classes/combinations (like berserker in BG 2) work?

There's actually a Warfare skill called Phoenix Dive that requires no ranks in Pyrokinetic. It's an AoE jump attack that surrounds the ground in flames where you land. So if that's what you're looking for, there's actually no reason to put any points in Pyrokinetic unless you're also looking to throw fireballs. And if you want to actually be wreathed in flame, I think that is a skill but it requires ranks in Polymorph and Pyrokinetic, which might be spreading yourself a bit thin if you're also adding some Warfare points. If you do make this character your tank you're probably going to want to put two points in Polymorph anyway, though, since that tree has a skill that gives you regenerating physical armor.

So far, from what I can tell, it's best to have your damage dealers all focus on one type of armor: physical or magical. If you spread your damage types you're going to have to burn through two entirely different sets of armor on most bosses, which is just a waste of time since you have a 0% chance of any status effects until you can damage health directly. It's especially bad if you split damage types on a single character. And physical status effects seem to, in general, be the most effective of the two, since it includes Knocked Down, Crippled, Bleed, etc. Luckily enough there is a magical skill set that inflicts Physical armor damage, and that's the Necromancy tree, which also has a lot of nifty self-heal skills which also damage the enemy. And putting points into Necromancy gives you lifesteal so long as you're damaging enemy HP, so that's a bonus.

tl;dr Without being especially great at theory-crafting, if you're looking for a dual-wield character, I would suggest putting points into either Scoundrel or Warfare (Warfare is my preference, but you can go either), and also Necromancy.

I've been doing just fine getting through the game so far with my custom character being a 2H jack-of-all-trades (points in Aerothurge, Hydrosophist, Necromancy, Summoning, Warfare, and Polymorph) and Sebille, who's entirely focused on just fucking everything up with backstabs. Though I should note both of them have Lone Wolf. So I'd imagine you'd be fine no matter what you went, really.

Is there a fixed number of companions or can you make your own party?

Two hand is way better than dual wield I think. The %dodge chance doesn't really come into play often enough compared to the crit multiplier, and dual wield takes such a heavy penalty to damage I'm not entirely convinced it does ANY more than single, while sacrificing the shield or grenade spam.

As for what to pair things with, I'd like to point out that Summoning is NOT based on any attribute, so it pairs well with anything. All you really need is to get your Summoning skill level to 10 for incarnate champions, burn your first turn summoning and buffing the Incarnate, then go off and do whatever.

Two different approaches. Focusing means you can kill individual targets fast, but on the other hand you CAN'T exploit weaknesses. There are plenty of enemies with zero armor for one type, and others that have 5-10x one type as the other.

That's another nice thing about Summoners though, their Incarnates and Totems can be purely physical or purely elemental as needed.

There are 5 companions with their own storylines (max party size of 4). You can play as one of them, or you can create a custom character and just use those premade characters as party members.

So far as I know you can only create an entire party of custom characters if you multibox or play online with friends/strangers. There's probably another way to create a full team of custom characters entirely offline, but the game did not make it readily apparent so I'm ignorant of it.

So it's Baldur's Gate and not Icewind Dale, got it. Can I play multiplayer by myself with custom characters, though, like in BG?

There are 6, assuming you don't start as one. All of them are available as Origins during character creation. Their starting class can be any class of your choice, the only thing you can't change is their race and special ability. The special Source ability for Custom characters is by far the strongest out of all of them (really the only one that remains useful), so keep that in mind.

Also, at the beginning of act 2 you can swap them out for generic options with no storyline quests. No real control over their races either, not sure if they get any special powers, haven't tried.

can you play with random people? or is it single player only for friendless me.
The d&d gamemaster stuff sounds fun.

Assuming your PC is not a potato, this kind user is actually wrong.

Simple guide to having 4 (or two with lone wolf) characters of your own creation:

Go into your settings and make it so that the only connection you accept to your games is from LAN. Then, go start a new multiplayer game.

Goto the bin directory where you have the game installed and run EoCApp. That will start a new version of the client. Join your already existing multiplayer game via the lan option, it'll be the only one there. Do this twice more and then you will have 4 'players' connected to the game, hit ready then start and create your characters, start the game. Immediately save the game on your original client, then quit the game which will boot all the clones. Shut them down, restart the game and you're in a fresh run with all 4 of your waifu's.

bery nice, thanks a lot

This fucking game.

real time combat now? or still shitty turnbased

ye is this RTwP or turn based?

Turnbased

shiiieeeeet

A retarded thought.

playing tactician and I suck so hard. I'm too retarded for games like this, spent 40+ hours already and I'm only at mordus and can't beat him. But shit it's still fun, even if all my battles are an inefficient, poorly strategized mess. I'll just try leveling up somewhere else whenever I'm too weak for an encounter for now

Their technical limitations and fanbase are.
So yes, consoles are the problem.

Ok so you can have 3 of the companions with you without lone wolf. Is it also like Original Sin 1, where you can recruit them later and do their quest, or do you loose access to the other 3 after you break out of prison land.

Is opportunist a good talent? Also how do I play with 800x600 filling the entire screen, it's impossible to read or see anything.

extremely for melee characters. But my str based shield tank dealt little damage even with lot of points in str so I suggest not using opportunist for single-handed weapon character

Any good torrents for this shit? I wanna fuck a spider, too.

Yes.

Mordus is easier than the cave to him. Kill him and everything else dies.

Opportunist is one of the BEST melee talents. Enemies trigger it very often, and you can even force them to trigger it with chicken or fear.

Until the proper start of act 2, when everyone you don't bring with you dies. You get one last chance to switch things up on the boat, and then once the boat starts moving it's over. You can still switch out the survivors for generic (none-story) NPCs after that, but there's not much point unless you really want more people of a certain race or with the Circle of Protection power.

Honestly I don't know why they did that, it's just mean really.

someone posted one in the thread

Do you get more experience on classic than tactician? I saw someone say the crocodiles got them to level four, but I'm only halfway to level three after beating them. I don't mind the difficulty of tactician, but knowing you're gimped isn't fun.

thanks but is there a way to make 800x600 fill the screen instead of just the center? I'm already myopic and this is just too much.

Oh, I'm a blind nigger. Been waiting the whole thread for a link, too.
What's this CoC magnet, though?

wait to talk to the spider/slug you need that animal trait right ?

i guess its to warrant multiple playthroughs, take 3 you like try thee other 3 next time.

dunno, lad, I just removed that one

slug yes, spidergirl no

I thought it could have been Corruption of Champions, but I doubt that would be 11 GB.

I just want to say that I'm extremely glad a game with a somewhat female spider didn't take the monstershit route and make them that dumb fucking kemono friends type bullshit.

I meant to just write female but I somehow got a 'somewhat' in there

How viable are two handed weapons relative to dual wielding? Not a fan of the latter. Bonus points if he can be a strict DPS character, rather than a tanky dude in plate.

Now when I'm done with them.

DEUS VULT!

I have never played or liked turn based RPG games, despite liking RAGs overall. Should I play it?

I think Two Hand is way better than Dual Wield. Dual wield has a large damage penalty, to get anything out of it you need two equivalent weapons which can be hard to come by, and it also has reduced range. Also, the 1% dodge per level doesn't really do much. Two hand gets 5% crit damage per level, so that's two damage bonuses from the skill instead of one.

Dual wield is for rogues, even then id consider a shield

No.

Sorry I said that wrong. Dual wield doesn't have reduced range specifically, it's that one-handed weapons have shorter reach than two-handed ones.

I just watched a video of the mordus fight. He never transformed in my game, probably because I killed him round 1.

What does the birth instrument do?
Also all the character voices you can choose are shit.

Instrument very subtly changes the battle music under certain circumstances. It's pretty much unnoticeable.

Anyone know what happens if you reject all the "evil" methods of expanding your source? For example when Ryker sacrifices souls for you and Mordus makes you eat a Voidwoken heart and take the Void into you. Does it change anything, prevent you from finishing the story, or does it just keep your source pool limited? Are there methods you cannot refuse? Are there any "good" methods?

Random tip

In Act 2, the arena master (something "The Raucous One") in the undertavern sells a HUGE variety and quantity of equipment items leveled to your character level, about 3 pages worth of items with at least half a dozen Legendary quality choices. He has pretty much everything except legendary amulets and rings (epic only). He also is pretty much alone, making him a very easy target for pickpocketing, and even if you don't want what he has he carries around 12k gold per restock.

Also, keep in mind that pickpocketing is once per character per NPC, meaning you can do this 4 times with your main party, but no need to stop there. You can temporarily dismiss a party member and hire generics at the ship, allowing you an unlimited number of pickpocket attempts.

If you are into savescumming, merchant item TYPES will stay the same (including quality and sockets), but their stats will randomize, provided you save before talking to them. If you want the item types to change you will need a shop restock. Shops restock on levelup and every hour in game time, so you can save just before you level or watch the in-game timer and save just before it ticks over. If you prefer not to savescum, you can always just come back in an hour.

anyone got a magnet link?

This is super useful info. I hate how in DOS vendors only restock on level up, now that it's every hour it allows someone who wants to thieve their way to glory to do so if they choose.

It was every hour in the enhanced edition of the first game too, maybe one of the later "classic" patches added that change, but I can't be sure.

Jahan sacrifices demons in your name
Sebille teaches you how to be a hippie after saving her

I'm using CODEX version, updated it and still got crashes after 2 min. Is the GOG version better?

my pc is getting kind of old, but I played the legit version of DOS2 for 8 hours yesterday with 2 friends and had no crashes, glitches, lag or anything. Pretty rare for me these days with new games.

A question:

Is there a main character in this? Or are all 4 of your created characters considered main characters?

gog version runs fine for me, it;'s literally just the installer they have from the GoG store.

Your originally created character is considered the origin character thus the main character. Any other mercs hired after that aren't considered so.

the first game has a linux version, is this one too?

Not sure, but I think the only difference are the inter party relationships being between the char you start as and the rest of the party.

Works with dialogues too. Fucked up a persuasion? Just pick someone else and try again.

neat, i didn't have that option so I just cheesed a bunch of scrolls by talking to that NPC that misses her children on the SW of the Island with each of my characters.

>>>/reddit/ is that way.

Do each escape route, you can come back to em, gotta get that xp

wot

Game's so autistic and slow I can't imagine living people playing this together.
Besides i don't see any way you can beneft from having someone else around, since party cap is still 4 and game is still turn-based.

...

Then you have shit imagination, fam.

I'm just gonna replay baldurs gate 2.

Again.

...

This bait is new.

BG2 has always been a shit rpg with terrible rtwp combat.

BG2 is great. AdnD 2.0 is the pinnacle of RPG systems and Jon Irenicus is mai waifu.

Even if it was the d&d in bg2 is a butchered mess.

it's fun but you can run into people that get kinda impatient if your a thinker durring combat.

Spoiler for late game
>Solo undead
>Find a cache of deathfog under Arx sewers
>Rolling through bosses with the power of deathfog
This game I swear

Duh, you don't play co-ops with random people.

Solo is viable? Or is this something for late game after you've broken things

Considering I finished the campaign solo, I'd say it was viable.

I guess he means entering an area with only your undead dudes because the rest die.

No, there's literal crates of deathfogs that you can haul around if you're strong enough. Pic related is my character

The created/chosen character is TECHNICALLY the main character. There are a few specific interactions that require them. However, the story is such that all non-generic characters are "main" characters, each chosen by their own gods and each ultimately competing for Divinity.

Is the gear progression really that exponential? I'm level 14 and I think my best is about 800 armor with shield. I find enemies taking out my armor in a single hit with AOEs and stunning me in the process.

Checked, best physical is 980 without a shield. My shield-user seems to have fallen a bit behind.

got tips for a solo run? is sneaking/going invisible/running away mandatory for every fight?

My shield alone makes up the majority of my armor. Those runes give me 120% armor increase and +9 constitution.

No, my guy started out as a 2 hander guy who directly combats everything that comes along. I'm playing a skeleton deathknight that does 100% damage reflect, absorbs 100% of damage as health. When I was a 2 hander, I basically make sure my gear score is good enough for me to take down a person without support on the first/second skill or at least get them to 0 physical armor so I can knock them down. I changed to sword and board since this particular shield I have is insanely good, my shield toss basically does 5.7k before crit. Con scales really well if you know what you're doing.

I think i'm gonna try it. what difficulty are you on?

Yes. Past lvl 14 or 15 you basically need to buy new gear every level to keep up. On tactician at least.

Where do dismissed companions go once you get to Arx? Where the fuck did Tarquin run off to? Is beating Adramahlihk just a dps burn or am I missing something?

Classic atm, I see no point in going tactician until I have the system completely figured out since tactician demands regular use of grenades and scrolls.

So…what's up with stat-based persuasion dialogue?

My character has at least 1 point put into Strength every level, and he has Lone Wolf so that translates into at least 2, usually 4 Strength increases each level. Not including the Strength gear I stack on him. Yet I cannot recall a single time he has ever passed a Strength-based persuasion check. Sabille with her (even higher) Finesse has never passed a Finesse persuasion check either.

I don't understand why neither character ever seems to pass a persuasion check with the stats that I'm intentionally pumping into every level.

Persuasion stat only increases the amount of positive relations they have to you. I found some stat based choices are easier to pass than others but most of it can be passed if you just bribe the person during the dialog.

It then becomes a hilarious tradition of meet, greet and bribe with excess loot.

more romances dialogs please.

No, I'm talking about the dialogue options you're given sometimes to convince someone to give you more information. They're like:

Not the Persuasion stat. The dialogue choices that are meant to persuade someone that, presumably, have a chance to succeed based on which stat they're attached to.

Oh, I actually just looked it up on the wiki,

That's hilariously fucking idiotic. I can only threaten someone with painful death if I've put a point into the game's equivalent of the Performance skill. At least now I know never to bother with that shit anymore.

I pity the buffoons who did not choose Pet pal.

You are on their list, ya dummy.

Of what, they never do any registering.

I have zero persuasion stat as well. Some npc responds well to some stat over others. Greasing palms gives you more options. It's not that hard.

Well, I started a game on classic to find out. You don't get experience any faster, but the enemies aren't damage sponges. I'm probably going back to tactician, because fair fights are way too easy.

Mega for the game?
Surely someone must have uploaded the GoG version by now, no?

Why do people keep saying summoner is OP. Im literally dealing 20 damage at lvl 5 with single sumon and 10 dmaage with totem meanwhile my oppenents have 200hp and 100armor/magic.

Tactician only alters a few enemy skillsets and gives blanket stat bumps to enemies, nothing else.
No new enemy placements, AI changes, or anything fancy or fun like in OS1:EE. The game is basically unchanged except you need to spend more time grinding weapons to counter the armor bloat.

Get to Summoner 10.

Im unable to continue becasue i am getting wrecked in some dungeon. 4 summoners and its all in shit

Literally the first link if you google a free version of gog, even have links for the patches.

I noticed that they used the same tactics on both difficulties, and it made me a little pissed, 'cause OS1 was good about it. Would tou say classic is the way to go? I hate when things are made harder by just throwing bigger numbers on.

If you're in Act 2+ then just respec everyone into stealth archer assassins and use polymorph's T1 invisibility to lure every fight into an ambush if you're having trouble.

I'd definitely play on Classic until someone releases an overhaul mod or they release a real Tactician difficulty.

You're really bad at RPGs then. Summon incarnate in melee range of enemies > empower them with ranged attacks > spam totems and run away while your summons kill everything.

Sounds right. I'll try to convince my friend, so we can co-op it. That Beatrix is some good shit.

Or until the inevitable director's cut enhanced game of the year edition+.

Wasn't the last enhanced edition free if you owned the original?

Yeah.

Those incarnate summons die in two hits.

Do you have them on at least level 10?

I cant get to level 10

Yes and by the time they die the mobs should also be dead since you're using other skills on them while your totems pelt stuff to death.

I cant those summons deal like no damage and totems also. Do i level only summon disciple?

I'm happier with OS1s plot it seems. Well not the plot, but ending definitely. I just like the idea of eternal guardian romance/bromance, better than these endings.

Hitting level 10 in the summoning skill is the most important thing. The Incarnate becomes an Incarnate Champion, with more than double the HP/Damage/armor and armor from buffs.

Really regretting not keeping Fane in my party. I ditched him in act 2 because I couldn't keep him healed with my build and enemy heal spells were OP.

I met Fane in that hidden place near fort joy and he had his mask that lets him turn into other people. I'm guessing that's a bug because he was supposed to have lost it on the ship and in the wiki it says "Shortly after escaping Fort Joy, Fane will recover his mask of the shapeshifter"

Also what npcs do you guys usually keep on your party?

Wow so instead of 20 dmg they will deal 40 dmg. Fucking A WE SOME

Lohse because she seems to be pretty story centric

Sebille because every party should have at least one cannibal. Blood sacrifice is pretty good too.

Last slot would be Fane, but I couldn't keep him "alive" so I took that lone wolf guy

I enjoy everyone but the psychotic elf who interrupts multiple questlines and randomly murders people in Act 1 alone.
Fane and Red Prince are the best Origins PCs by far, and Beast is an absolute bro I never want to adventure without.

I just run Lone Wolf with my character and Sebille. Lone Wolf is almost as overpowered as it was in the original game, and the main reason it's not as overpowered is because now you're not allowed to stack Glass Cannon with it.

You're stupid. I already told you that totems rape everything early game.

What do you mean?

Also I'm using Lohse and Fane in my party, but can't decide between the Red Prince, Beast, Ifan or Sebille for my last slot.

Enemies cast Heal at him for massive damage, and I didn't have any strong poison spells to heal him back with.

If the cannibalism is important to you, it's worth noting that Fane can do that job just fine with the mask.

Ending spoilers
>Holy shit the source ultimate for necromancy, Blood Rain 2: Ebola-chan edition is fucking strong
>I essentially got Braccus Rex to kill himself because he heals from fire

The player character can also do the job just fine with the mask. Anyone can use it.

That's true, you probably only need Fane to get the mask (maybe you can get it by murdering the witch regardless).

Blood Sacrifice is one of the strongest Racials though.

Encourage is great with a summoner since it works on totems and summons. But eating corpses is useless 99% of the time, so it evens out I guess.

I never included Fane in my party at all and I got the mask like you said, by killing the witch. Is it part of Fane's questline? Because she apparently holds it regardless of whether or not you've started the quest with him.

I'm not even sure if it does anything with totems. Con yes, but they can't take a hit regardless. They don't technically have "weapons" so I don't really know if the str/int/fin does anything to their damage, or how much (how much base attribute do they have? +2 on 30 does a lot less than +2 on 10).

I will point out that Venomous Aura is INSANE with totems, especially if you have them doing magic damage to start with.

So Holla Forums tell me; should I buy it?

That depends if you want to support the devs or not. The game is good and I bought it because I want more GOOD RPGs to be made.

Alright, I just started the game as a necromancer lizard wizard. The Red Prince seemed like an upstanding chap, so I've decided to let him tag along while I do my lone wolf stuff.
How is he? Who's the best party member?

The only one that's really significantly different is Fane, Being undead is a HUGE game changer, both for the poison/healing swap and the "play dead" ability which can exit combat. However, it can do more harm than good, so it really depends on how you want to play.

In character creation can you pick your gear or is it still based on whatever preset class you mess with?

But I'm an undead already. Not much point to overlapping, although I'm just now realizing I have the same fucking tags as the Prince.
I like him more than everybody else though, so fuck it, someone has to take hits for me.

Twist: you get no gear at all at the start.

There's EVERY point in overlapping. It's so much better when you can use the same "healing" method for everyone in your party, plus you can both play dead to escape combat together.

The thing is I pirated the first one and then bought the Enhanced edition only to find that I still hated the story and some of the things that I like about the normal version were gone. So now I'm wary of the sequel.

Good to know.

Encourage is great with a summoner since it works on totems and summons. But eating corpses is useless 99% of the time, so it evens out I guess.

It's good. The last act is a bit annoying since there's no real direction. I'll definitely play through the game again 2-3 more times, maybe more with friends.

Yeah I murdered the Elf Seer Loli.

who?

Can you romance people in this game?

Do you like spiders?

how do the workshop mods work? if the host is using a mod, does everyone need to download it as well, or no?

Yes. Sexy time, too.

It's actually really easy for the Prince.

Party members or non party members?
I had a girl on fort joy flirt with me and say I should meet her somewhere later. I think she was called butter or something like that. She's gonna die, isn't she.

wait can you "fuck" shit while a girl or only as a male.

No, she's a lesbian pulling a con on you. You meet her dwarf lover in Driftwood later on, and she says, "I can't believe she's still pulling that old scam, even in Fort Joy."

that's bullshit but I believe it.png

I just 1 shotted the last boss with that combo on Tactician. Fun times.

Sounds like it one-shots the user too, since you are doing about 1.5x your buffed armor directly to your HP.

Just did the last fight in act 1 before you get on the boat.
I managed to get the void worm to fight all the magisters while I killed the shit out of Alexander. The worm killed all the mooks(I still got xp for it) and ended with low hp. Finished off the worm, and now I am level 8
Just a couple of things before I get on the boat. Where do I get all the Tyrant items? I already found the chest armor, gloves and boots. Is there more? Does it involve this shrine? And what do I do with the Dragon? Redaka is dead.

Remember where you rescued that head Seeker guy? Forget the name, Anyway, there's a door in that place leads underground to a room with a source fountain and a cursed lever. That's where the helm is.

Oh, I should have looked at your image. Of course it involves that shrine. Can't remember, try blessing it? Whatever gets it to open you find the helm inside.

I figured it out. Just have to interact when you have a source point.

Ah right.

Word of advice, the helm's ability can only be used 3 or 4 times, then it changes

Pft. I killed Alexander in the first round and joined up with the Voidworm to wipe out those fucking Magisters. And then I killed the Voidworm.

I had to run and play dead while taking cheap shots at the magisters (who would have been able to kill the worm by themselves easily). Just surviving the first three rounds waiting for it to show up was a challenge, I wound up stacking the barrels and setting them off before the fight just to strip magic armor from one magister so I could charm him.

Romance seems are kinda cringeworthy/funny. Unless you like a narrated sex scene specifying things.
Personally I'm more of a fade to black and imply things guy.

Red Prince. He's voiced by the same guy who did Edmund in Dragon Commander and has the same personality, instant pick. Also I started as a female lizard, and I want to see if I can get in bed with him and become the emperor's wife.
Ifan, He's pretty cool so far, good voice, nice personality.
Had Fane in my group for a while to fill up the party until I find other people, then switched him for Lohse, who seems pretty interesting with that passenger of hers.

Beast looked pretty interesting and sounds like a bro, but my party was full already.
I killed Sebille, what a bitch.

>freeing my fellow niggers lizards from the yoke of these magic assholes

Honestly I wish that there was 3 human characters so I didn't have to party up with filthy non-humans.

Also gas all elves

The divine order already did that

What's wrong with you? How can you be so damn boring?

Because humies are the most interesting race in 99% of fantasy settings.

Elves, always mary sues.
Dwarves, always stubborn assholes
Orcs, always rape machines
Gnomes, little shits

Humans are always the race with the most varied characters.

Humans in divinity

Elves

Dorfs

Orcs

Imps

...

Ackshually, wizards are a separate race in the Divinity universe.

Think of all the high quality coats you could make.

Ifan is a total bro. Red is amusing.

It's also hilarious how if you abandon all origin characters to their death, the only way forward left for you to is kill everyone they ever hold dear.

...

Explain?

All those side quest that automatically gets certain factions to your good side because you have certain characters in your party become unavailable, most of the quest you'll need to do becomes you killing your way through the world instead unless you're a really good talker.

...

Elfs are caucasians
Dwarves are Hispanics
Orcs are Niggers
Gnomes are Jews.

Human in fantasy settings are just the leftovers of Humankind with all the flavor removed.

If you didn't kill the High Judge before leaving the fort, you don't know shit about video games.

Divinity doesn't have Gnomes, and given that Elves most defining trait is cannibalism, I wouldn't really class them fantasy whites.

Dwarves being hispanics (mexicans in particular) fits pretty well though. They work hard and they steal harder.

What are the "blow themselves up for science!" Imps I wonder?

By leaving the fort, I assume you mean visiting the second half of the island, not leaving act 1.

I did manage it though. I had to cheese the fight by triggering the guards during the conversation. As it turns out several of the guys in that room are treated as "guards", meaning they attack you when you steal or vandalize shit, but the high judge himself and a couple others do not.

Pussy. I walked in there, called the entire court proceeding a sham, died 3 times and left until I was level 5, and beat his fucking face in with my magic staff. Necromancer feels OP in this game, but I haven't played any other class, so what do I know?

It's like you're not using Lone Wolf and Warfare.

alright, started this finally, how the fuck do I get to Mody's secret stash?

Oh I have, this includes the frost dragon. That's how you get a level 9 one hander at level 6.

You are a horrible person.

I am Lone Wolf, but the Prince is too cool to not let tag along. He's mostly extra luggage.

I was mostly referring to general fantasy.
I still haven't played the game.

Imps are slavs, they drink heavily and have no sense of self preservation, plus high IQ.

Doesn't the game give you pretty massive penalties for using weapons more than a level above your own? I think I remember that being a function in the original Divinity: Original Sin.

I don't think so. It's so hard to get anything overlevel I guess they took that out.

You get 10% less accuracy per level above.

Hey, some guy in the thread said it was possible to get a custom 4-person party… does that mean it's possible to have a custom 2 man Lone Wolf party?

Yes.

I know what my next playthough's gonna be.

I really don't understand the obsession with "all custom" parties. You can hire generic (no story) characters of every race on the boat in act 2, they all come with the same ability as a custom character. If you can live with the racials and source abilities, you have full control over the character advancement of all of the "origin" party members. All you are really doing by trying to use custom characters is depriving yourself of quest potential.

How many ways of leaving Fort Joy are there?

Grate through torture area, boat through torture area, clearing the courtyard. If you're talking about ways to get in: teleport on the balcony near the loot room, the entrance near the statue, the one near the beach, the front door, teleporting in where the quest guy is and getting put into jail.

She could look a lot better tbh. Needs character.
The hood is nice but she needs a much more billowing dress. Purple is a nice colour on her as well.
Overall 7/10 would bone

Apparently there's an infinite damage combo involving a feedback loop using Soul Mate, lifesteal, and an undead. When you heal, it "heals" the undead, damaging it, which causes you to heal yourself more. You turn this into a useful combo with Shackles of Pain and Living on the Edge

But do the generics come with Lone Wolf?
I'm only asking because I had a shitload of fun doubling up on them in OS 1.

I was talking about quest lines

You can give anyone lone wolf at any time

It's a talent. It does not need to be bought at level 1, it can be taken any time you have a spare talent point. You can give Lone Wolf to the origin party members. Once act 2 starts, you can even change around existing talents.

So is crafting entirely pointless, or does the gear you make scale with your level?

It scales, but not well as far as I can tell. It's pretty pointless to craft gear.

However, you can craft Runes, Ammo, Grenades, and most importantly Spellbooks. That includes "hybrid" spells that are not normally available for purchase. Combine one elemental spellbook with one non-elemental spellbook to make a first tier book for that class combination, and use a Source spellbook in the combination (either will do) to make the second tier combo spell.

ayylmao whole party stunlocked and 3 dead before I could get a single turn. This is cancer because the game WANTS you to cheese it. Ideally trial & error type shit wouldn't be necessary but the game forces you to have an initial encounter where you die so that next you know where to set up your party members. This also obviously reverts the conversation & choices you made prior to the encounter and that kind of ruins the experience

At that point I had 20 in retribution so all I needed was a scroll of fortification to ward against lightning attack stuns and I was set with the wolves and the boss killing themselves by attacking me.

that sounds like really retarded fun

It's more pattern recognition from previous divinity games that opening large coffins leads to happy fun times.

well, well done

I'm just going to guess you are playing on Tactician. No use complaining about the difficulty if that's the case. Better too hard than too easy.

Keep in mind though you can reposition your allies during conversation. Even until the last screen before combat starts.

ah yes I did completely forget about that, thanks

New thread when?
