Just dump it in the voice folder. Easy as pie.
You need the dummy files or the new Audio XSeed added will be in English because the nips never recorded that much.
- Ys VIII released on PS4 and Vita, but as usual NISA fucks up and the promised simultaneous PC release was pushed back for at least a month and knowing NISA probably more. - XSeed has ported Ys VII to PC. It is available now. - Sen no Kiseki/Trails of Cold Steel III trailer has dropped: youtube.com/watch?v=fr-8b6S6HOQ - Trails of Cold Steel I is out on PC on both Steam and GoG; ToCS II is also confirmed for PC with no release date available, though dialogue recording has started. It won't be until 2018 though. - Tom on ToCS for PC: has its own separate launcher, "far more feature-rich than any other launcher we've ever had in any of our PC games to date" " There's not much you CAN'T do in that launcher." "You can tweak bloody EVERYTHING." It's also got a turbo mode that lets you speed up the game 4x, which is pretty sweet. It also runs butter smooth. Seriously, this port is great. - Trails of Cold Steel III is on track for a Japanese release on September 28th (two weeks from tomorrow) of this year, confirmed PS4 exclusive. Check gematsu.com and esterior.net for further details
- Zwei II coming this Summer (supposedly, though that's looking less and less likely). Check this blog post to discover the game (xseedgames.tumblr.com/post/162167486725/zwei-the-ilvard-insurrection-localization-blog ) - The full Trails in the Sky trilogy is finally on English, available on Steam, GOG and the Humble Store - Tokyo Xanadu brought by Askys, Vita version has already been released, and the improved Ex+ version for PS4 and PC on late 2017, although Amazon has November 24th, 2017 listed
- Trails to Zero fan tl at 30%. Ao is 55% translated, but not edited at all yet. A beta of the Zero TL from 2015 was leaked. It is full of typos and sounds like robots are talking, but it is at least coherent from start to finish. Play only if you are desperate. Machine TL of Azure has also been released, and it is as terrible as you would expect. It is completely unintelligible. - The Legend of Xanadu I & II Dub Project announced, English tl patches coming in the next months ( tg-16.com/The_Legend_of_Xanadu_Dub_Project.htm ) - Also in the works: Zwei!!, Dinosaur Resurrection, Vantage Master Japan, Dinosaur Resurrection and Brandish 2 Renewal (PC-98)
So what's the 3rd like, gameplaywise? I didn't appreciate SC's combat until I got to the final few boss fights and truth be told I've been missing out greatly on tactics and orbment arts and whatnot. Also, what happened to Walter after SC? Did he remain on the arc unconcious or did he wake up and show up in another game?
Camden Wood
The 3rd is the most combat-focused games in the series. In fact, the whole game is a dungeon, albeit one with little doors that give you side stories on all the characters. There's still plenty of cutscenes too. By the end you have the largest party available in the series (until the finale of Cold Steel 2) and a lot of options to pursue, though there are one or two extremely useful ones that kind of make it hard to choose anything else. Still, I think you'll find the most varied and interesting combat you've seen so far in 3rd.
As for Walter, you see a bit of him in 3rd, but it''s not really Walter exactly. You'd have ti play it to know. He hasn't been in the series since (though he's been name-dropped). They are likely saving him for the Calvard arc, which we'll get after Cold Steel 3.
Evan Scott
Which one would you choose?
Carson Davis
Not much of an issue for me, by the time I realized how good Kevin was I had already made him, Estelle and Joshua strong enough to carry whoever I'd pick along for story reasons. Unless this game takes the Ys Seven method of having the final boss/bosses require all characters. Thanks user
I'd choose Adventure
Samuel Reyes
Well…there are two points in the game where you'll have to use every member of the party you currently have. Luckily the first is fairly early on and the second has a dungeon filled with trash mobs that give out tons of XP designed to level up your characters that are behind.
Charles Barnes
What did NISA do this time? Fucking hate NISA

PC version of Ys8 has been delayed. Indefenitely.

I don't think anyone got really surprised NISA fucked everything yet again. It's part of their job at this point to fuck everything up. Though i'm still confused as to why they manage to keep afloat while releasing the garbage they keep releasing.
But didn't you know user? CS2 fixes everything so it's okay for the game to be shit!
Brayden Ortiz
Cold Steel is a good game. Cold Steel 2 builds on it.
Smart move but Japan only like what happened with TitS on PS3?

Please report to the nearest reeducation centre you antisocial element and get with the programme.

I wonder what older Renne would be like. She'd be 15 by the time of CS3.
Luis Wright
Reminder that Renee a shit and Tita is arguably superior.
Jack White
The PS3 ports oft Trails could not be released in America, because they are PSP Remasters. That's PSP games run on an emulator that is integrated into the PS3 with better assets. Since Sony of America requires achievements and PSP Remasters don't support them the game couldn't be released. This can't happen with Trails as the PS4 versions have to be real ports.
Owen Hernandez
Isn't that what cost Sony Monster Hunter for like a decade? How did Sony of America not just get completely shut down for fucking up that hard?
Brody Ross
Because Sony isn't just games. They pumped money from other sectors into their gaming division.
Jacob Harris
Four things;
The main reason is Danganronpafags tho, if those faggots didn't eat up that garbage NIS/NISA would have been either dead or downsized to the point where they wouldn't be able to handle many projects outside their own games
Kayden Green
But user, what if I like both?
Ethan Howard
Yeah, but I mean, if the fucking foreign localization branch fucked up so hard it hurt the home branch, I would be firing people left and right for that kind of shit.
Lincoln Cruz
Then you like mechs
Caleb Rogers
god damnit why
Adam Rivera
That's interesting user, I learned something today. Thanks! I guess I'll double dip on Cold Steel.
Bentley Murphy
I liked Danganronpa 1 and 2 but I pirated it so no € for Nisa.
The series is dead to me now though, too much sub par milking like Nasuverse.
Grayson White
So they made their own Hearthstone? Meh.
Jaxson Lewis
Bigger, translated map.

I fact checked you and 1 claim appears to be complete bullshit, with most being very hard to prove to the point they appear to be theories that make no sense, too.
This probably wasn't doing too well as every search I did proves it's mostly gone now. Their last title released is more than a year old if their own site can be believed. I might be wrong on this one (why would they not update their own site then?), but it doesn't really seem very successful to me now. If you used past tense and said "raked", that would make it more likely to be correct. Admittedly, I could be the wrong one here.
Likely correct, though also as likely to be exaggerated.
It makes little sense, it seems more like a way to reduce losses. That's because I doubt NIS has money to give NISA in the first place from how poorly their stuff seems and seemed to be doing. I am absolutely certain that NISA makes way more money because a statement says they've come to expect the western sales to be superior and similar statements or comparisons were made before, and a publisher has less expenses than someone who makes the games like NIS, too. They've also implied they're working on Disgaea 6. While that's uncertain, it'd make perfect sense to capitalise on the market with a multiplatform Disgaea title. NIS would be taking money NISA gained at this point. I'm doubtful if the meagre sales NIS has in Japan would even pay for the expenses required for D6 if they want it done well with decent voice-acting, let alone allow them to give anything to NISA.
Think, non-disgaea sales numbers seem so typically, but they rarely release expectations - exceptions are Yomawari that beat them, that and some others. Even after removing the employees as NIS did 2+ years ago, you won't have money out of nowhere to give to someone after failed projects, you won't have the money to begin with as it's gone with the projects. As a company, you just got rid of some monthly expenses, but that won't make money appear out of thin air until you regain it with a success.
This is the most bullshit claim, which seems to be pulled out of your ass and the reason why I except heavy exaggerations from you up there. It got more than 100k total if NIS statement are to be believed. Some sites reported 100k, other 110k, the other 150k preorders in the west and 5k to 20k in Japan, and if I'm reading correctly, it did get 170k on PS4 overall. If NIS didn't fuck up by releasing it in Japan on the same day as BOTW and Bomberman, it'd likely be at 200k+ on Switch and beat PS4, but even then it'd still be a completely incorrect statement.
Disgaea 1 alone got 150k on PC (Steamspy is often incorrect, of course, but there is no better data). While the game's price is much lower, it's far from the first time it was released. web.archive.org/web/20080410044129/http://www.us.playstation.com:80/News/PressReleases/127 To be a PS2 Greatest Hit, a PS2 title needs to have gotten 400k sold units. Disgaea HoD ultimately became a PS2 Greatest Hit, so it sold 400k+ units. Whatever you've meant, this statement is verifiably false. You're right that it's doing well on the Switch in the west, but the rest is not so.
Don't pose your theories as facts when you won't bother to check anything out. I bet some will repeat them because most anons do not fact check. As long as it's even remotely believable, they won't bother to think it makes no sense, they'll just say it over and over again, consider it true and be surprised when it's wrong. Like previous thread, where anons were too slow to realise NISA delaying Ys 8 on PC means simultaneous release mustn't have been a priority to Falcom, as otherwise it'd be out no matter how bad the port is.

Why the hell does Laxia say "criminy", NISA?
Christopher Davis
Yeah but the question is: will Rean motorboat them thicker plotlines?
Angel Adams
FUCK. I swear on Aidios's name, XSEED better find a point in time where Becky can suitably get a voiced line.
Jaxon White
To be fair i'm just shitting with you people cause it's fun to see the fanboys getting riled up, after the main plot got spoiled to me i made my peace with it being pants in head retarded and it's quite possible that in expecting nothing i could even enjoy the story of the rest of the series, as i said, i really like the gameplay of the game, so i will keep playing for the gameplay and disregard the story. I can even say that it's exactly because you guys hype the trails series so much that i got dissapointed like that, after all i expected a masterpiece and got a basic anime plot with autismal levels of lore detail. Anyway, let me stop here before the CSDF comes and derail the thread into a flame war.
Fucking disgusting. When you finally think that nintendo will go the way of the cuckoo and stop fucking everything up, the tasteless bastards go and fuck the industry some more by giving them more money. Fucking useless society.
Sebastian Gutierrez
Most of these are bullshit
Great post
Jace Hall
They're certainly not saints, but I'd say Microsoft has done far more damage to the industry than Nintendo ever did.
Adrian Rodriguez
Disgaea 5 Complete sold 100K by August but it sold like shit on the PS4 last year and was released in March on the Switch, Complete is the Switch only version.
you're probably right, still makes my blood moil seeing people feeding the bad pratices that nintendo made this generation, i was a very big nintendo fanboy in the past, but holy shit, i can't believe how people can get beaten this much and still support them.
Then we need to go back to my question again, what the hell is keeping NISA afloat if all they do is fuck shit up? is it just weebs not having any type of self respect and buying the shit they put out because of the tits? maybe they aren't being kept afloat and are on the verge of breaking down and are just keeping very tight-lipped about it? I can't understand how they are still alive when 90% of everything they release is crap. Are they being kept alive by the jews so they can keep destroying the games we love?
Adam Evans
NISA is a North Korean front to bypass UN sanctions.
Brandon Harris
No doubt, Micro$haft was cancer as a whole from pushing for consolization of PC games on their platform in 6th gen to online and western focus with kike monetization like DLC and paid maps. Sony doesn't inspire confidence as well though, and they've been only a step back from Microshits bullshit, besides their cancerous US department pushing for awful games and the killing of Sega with blatant marketing kikery.
Jaxon Green
I feel you there - I still own a 3DS and will likely buy whatever the sequel machine to it is because third party games I want will definitely be on it, but the way they've treated their first party franchises over the decades is just awful, to the point where the only Nintendo first party titles I can ever have any hope for are mainline Kirby of the Stars titles.
Them and the entire "localization" industry as a whole.
Too believable
More or less, there are no heroes left in man at this point.
Elijah Gutierrez
We have a Granblue thread up right now thats being defended by the vols from any dissent and an obvious NISA shill in this thread user. What do you think? And NISA might still be afloat, but they're much smaller than they were before thanks to all the licenses removed from them over the years. IF, Gust, Vanilaware
They still keep going because NIS has publishing deals in Japan with games that might be published by other companies here and NISA themselves have started publishing many more games indies and doujin alike.
David Bell
NISA stays afloat because clearly they are undercutting the competition and/or jap devs still being too stupid to have their own local translation branch.
Leo Gomez
Anybody got a download for Zero no Kiseki PC?
Hudson Torres
If you can't find a decent public tracker by now you're an irredemeable idiot.

Wait a second do the VA's in The 3rd change depending on difficulty setting, or did Kevin's VA change to the original one when you're past the prologue? Or did I temporarily go deaf and misheard Kevin's VA?
Ian Rivera
Did you know? A character from Ys 8 is a reference to a Trails character but NISA fucked up
They called him "Viceman"
Falcom's Engrish called this character
Waisman
What the FUCK NISA
James Moore
Similar way of spelling the name, not that big of a deal truth be told. Big hole on the other hand
Alexander Green
Viceman?
That's actually hilarious…
Jason Barnes
The playthroughs of Ys 8 being uploaded to YouTube are painful. None of them seem to get attack types and attack enemies weak to strike with Adol, for example. How are people this fucking dumb?
James Gutierrez
bravo
Evan Cooper
American weebs yes. They keep Nisa afloat.
James Scott
Kondo on CS3's length and content.
>nothing was spoiled other than osborne being alive
Sure, user. Whatever you say.
Wyatt Hughes
YES, no forced Alisa !
Also considering what Kondo said prior regarding the size it seems like this choice may be in part due to the games size making replaying less viable than CS1/2, so no longer any need to choose and a ridiculously sized game, thank you Kondo.
Isaac Thomas
I'll probably be playing it twice, anyway. I tend to give all the Trails games at least two times to shine.
I really wonder how long it is, in hours, though. 100? More?
Jackson Butler
Pretty much this - you see all kinds of really vicious reactions when you tell any of them to just play the original Japanese because they somehow think that learning a language to pursue their biggest hobby is beneath them.
Matthew Diaz
Just checked and I was wrong. I am the problem.
Why is Nisa publishing Cold Steel in Europe? Amazon is FUCKING shit here and importing a physical copy from anyone else is an extra €20 and 2 weeks of delivery time.
Gavin Lopez
Is there an undub for Trails in the Sky?
Logan Bell
Yes.
However you'll only set yourself up for disappointment when Kea will be voiced by an American nigger bitch and Tio by Burch.
I like Xseed but by god can we please drop the English dub?
Jayden Walker
Folks are working on a re-edit. Isn't this James dude a reviewer?
Caleb Ross
IIRC he is, and he has posted here before.
Jonathan Collins
I'm not paying for Zwei after this shit. They announced it for summer and then went completely silent until it was clear it wasn't coming out in summer.
Nolan Ramirez
Nigger don't fucking making excuses if you're going to pirate anyway.
Camden Brooks
Since Ys VIII is fucked and I just beat Ys Seven's PC port; Should I try out Ys IV and V?
Christian Cooper
That costs money. And Xseed has no money.
Kevin Bailey
Xseed would have money if they actually hired a fucking marketer. Seriously, 95% of their problems boils down to them being shit at marketing.
Jayden Adams
Depends on what you're referring to. Ys IV only exists outside of Japan as Memories of Celceta on the PSVITA; and is the second game to use the playstyle made for Ys Seven; I thought it was pretty fun. Original Ys IV I believe was another bump attack, also had Lilia return, but Celceta retconned her for a new character.
Ys V, I have no idea what it is. It's the only point in the chronology to not see the light of day outside of Japan, as far as I'm aware.
Honestly, I don't care if they're not as good as the rest of the series. As long as they aren't as bad as Ys III SNES
Connor Sanchez
Okay, sorry. That's a little bit out of my scope.
Luis Thompson
Leeza appears in all three Ys IV games. She's kinda meh in all three of them.
All three of them are fun, with MotS being the weakest one. Ys III is a good fun, provided you don't play the shitty SNES port and understand it was designed for PC-88 computers.
Xavier Johnson
Guess I'll play MotS first then to get it out of the way. Oh I know that; my introduction to the Ys series was the shitty SNES III port. The cart still sitting on my self unbeaten.
Cooper Bell
How many months?
Lucas Howard
And folks wonder why Falcom prefers catering to Japanese otaku.
Mason Reyes
Is the Ys 7 port worth replaying the game or does it not come with any extra content?
Samuel Gonzalez
There is no extra content, only 60fps. They couldn't even get the better textures Joyland used. I guess Falcom threw them away. There is an unofficial patch though.
Sebastian Thompson
I missed some early quests in Cold Steel II and got 28 AP instead of 35 AP on my first report. Am I permanently locked out of anything important?
Asher Bennett
I believe you just miss out on one of the best accessories in the game.
Robert Campbell
Actually, I just read the game gives you wiggle room to get max rank A0 of 14 points. Is the accessory tied to earning the rank, or getting maximum AP?
Adrian Cook
I think just rank
Ryan Johnson
...
Jeremiah Long
...
Luke Brown
But will she have her support craft untouched?
Christopher Harris
I still haven't finished Trails 3. It was such a huge disappointment, I thought it would be an actual sequel and finale to the trilogy but it's like some spin-off with the least interesting characters as mains.
Chase Johnson
The finale to Sky's story was 2nd chapter.
3rd chapter is a bridge between Sky and Crossbell/Cold Steel.
All of the characters return as party members (including Estelle and Joshua) and get doors that expand on certain stories and such.
But yeah, I disliked the structure of it being one big sequence of dungeons with a hub. I came to like it because of the connections with future games (most notably Olivert/Giliath) and Renne's story (which carries over to Crossbell's games), but overall it's my least favourite of the entire Trails series.
Kevin Rogers
yeah, I know how it works, I died on that boss that appears in the bracer training camp mountain from 2nd chapter's epilogue, and just didn't feel like trying again yet. I've also looked at the Cold Steel games but the graphics are such a turnoff for me I doubt I'll ever play.
Matthew Miller
You forgot best girl.
Matthew Peterson
You know Danganronpa 1 and 2 aren't published by NISA on Steam right? Or did you pirate the Vita versions?
Benjamin Robinson
I was wondering about that, as well. Steam is listing Spike Chunsoft as publisher for all things Danganronpa and 999.
Jayden Campbell
You do know they still get money since Spike Chunsoft don't hold the rights to the localization script right? They do this with all of their games so they have some leverage when they lose IPs; Koei Tecmo had to buy the script off the them for the Atelier Arland vita ports and it's also why Idea Factory International didn't recycle any of the scripts for the Nep remakes.
Same goes for all those English Asian releases or International re-releases japan sometimes gets like Demon Gaze; if they use NISA's english script at all then NISA gets money.
Ayden Hall
Well shit.
Austin Miller
I want to send KeA to paradise, if you catch my drift.
Problem is they lost all their money with Akiba Beat.
Spike Chunsoft are the ones who put their games on Steam. Their PC ports are generally really good too.
I don't think they do. Spike Chunsoft probably just bought the TL right for the Steam version, it'd be dumb to give a % of sales like that, that'd be the same as having NISA publish the game itself.
Juan Rivera
...
Henry Diaz
So it probably won't be worth it to start over? I'm playing hard mode, and I really doubt I'll replay on nightmare for a story focused game.
Kayden Price
Just keep playing. There is some extra content in new game+ though, so you could replay the game at a later time.
Jordan Moore
I really doubt it will be worth it. Especially when not everything is skippable.
Asher Myers
This confirms that Falcom should just translate their games themselves. They'd do a better job than NISA.
Mason Gutierrez
Not to be a contrarian but,
Brandon Morris
archive.is/AY7ZU Here, I found a walkthrough which refers to the location as Big Hole, even making an archive of it. To be honest, from the second picture in it doesn't look a crevice. Crevice is meant to be way more narrow, this is wide and seemingly round, though the image can be misleading. Hole definitely was a bad choice of word, however. Something like "Abyss of the Archeozoic Era" or "Archeozoic Abyss" would've been perfect.
Cooper Gutierrez
archive.is/sUNvC one is an official screenshot of the dungeon the other is what I assume is the cutscene when the area is introduced. I highly doubt they are referring to different places
Aiden Rodriguez
The point is they had the name right there in front of them through the whole time they were "translating" and still decided to call it a big hole.
Gavin Thompson
...
Jonathan Cox
Sadly I have to disagree.
Even in France there's usually that one guy that can do English. But nobody at Falcom can into English. Big hole sounds like shit but still beats Google translate.
Ryan Lee
Falcom cannot into English, and location name changes are common. Xseed changed pic related in Celceta into Beast Plains, and also Misty Summit into Misty Peak, etc. The names were there, but changed anyway, so that's not really the point. In hole's case the picture doesn't show a crevice so if it is in game like it's implied in the image a change is okay, but to something cool sounding like Abyss, not hole which sounds like shit. Even if it's more accurate than before, it sounds worse, and walkthrough says it's in the final chapter, so it should be exciting. That's why they should've called it "Abyss". It's the best of both worlds, cool sounding and more accurate.
Oliver Brown
What? NISA pretty much just machine translated here. The last two kanji literally mean "big hole"
Aaron Brown
To be fair google translate works fine for 1-2 words most of the time.
Ayden Brown
my bad if this is a frequently asked question but a buddy of mine got me a handful of the ys games on a steam sale and i don't know whats considered a starting point with these games. what's my best bet
Kayden Reed
Start with Felgana or Origin. Origin is easier for newcomers, but contains Ys 1 spoilers. The story is not that important though.
europe tend to not have weebshit publishers Hell many many moons ago even ubisoft use to handle weebshit
But back to my point NISA europe tends to distribute a lot of weebshit from atlus and xseed and many other names Unless localisation is done by NISA dont feel bad for buying from NISA Europe since they just doing distribution and tend to handle it far far better than some other PAL publishers have like Ghostlight
Parker Ramirez
I've sort of lost faith. I doubt it's going to be anything new. And if it IS something new, it's probably going to be Akiba's Beat tier.

Every fucking day more and more fuck ups get found archive.is/keWIZ
Oh fuck off with that bullshit excuse; you'd still be giving money to fucking NISA to fuck over games. The only justifiable reason to buy a nisa game is if you get it used.
Connor Reed
Are these people contacting NISA support to point out those issues though? It'd be nice to have them fixed after all as those are much more likely to be fixed than having NISA completely retranslate the game.
Michael Russell
Cmon NISA friends, defend that one.
Hunter King
Wonder where that Nisashill is
Thomas Green
Doesnt the katakana said "BAHA" and not "Baja" (which would be written as バジャ actually) like the jap-english title is implying
NISA completely omitted the "leaning" kanji tho.

I'm not even sure why he's posting this image when there are apparently items description put on the wrong items.
David Long
Play Xanadu Next btw. Just do it.
Liam Evans
This is why nobody take people like you seriously. Bad ports: Disgaea 1 pc (fixed), Birthdays the beginning, Ys 8 (delayed) Good ports: Disgaea 2 pc, Firefly Diary, Phantom Brave, Yomawari, Operation Abyss, Operation Babel, Stranger of Sword City. They're no different from the usual publishers.
Jaxson Murphy
Except with shit translations NISA shill.
Aiden Gomez
I get the feeling they kinda machine translated the game in order to rush it out and look good to Falcom.
Jose Smith
Fuck off back to Holla Forums.
Michael Howard
I think that is why they are still around. They do things really fast and cheap compared to others quality be damned.

Noah Morales
To be fair, there is no such thing as a good translation.
Charles Gutierrez
Got a quick question about The 3rd. What's the deal with Richard? He seems to have some insane speed on him and just putting clock up ex+solar/lunar seal on him makes nearly every boss a cakewake. Is this a bug or is this Richard's gimmick?
Honestly this seems like geniune nitpicking. The post above you shows an actual terrible change, instead you seem to be sperging out over any and every tiny change.
Logan Hughes
Can you guys not shitpost?
Nicholas Ward
It's his gimmick but its also overpowered as he can basically get in 3 crafts before the enemy gets to act. Equip him with CP regen items and you got yourself a stupid strong character.
Jackson Sullivan
Is there a source anywhere where I can get the scripts for the TitS games? I kind of want to know the text for various shit like The 3rd's Chapter 6 and Silver The Edgehog's in the final parts of SC.
Thomas Lee

In Cold Steel II NG+, can you skip the masive amounts of cutscenes? Since the game makes you press X to move dialogue forward, you can't even walk away while they're playing. I even can't consider replaying this game on NG+ if I have to sit and mash X through dozens of long wordy cutscenes that maybe have minor differences if I took different characters with me.
Julian Sullivan
Hold circle.
Lincoln Wilson
That seems to be fast forward, which is better, but still not ideal.
Jose Foster
How's the Zwei game they're trying to get on Steam?
Not even console bricking bugs will get them off their fat lazy asses.
Except the fact when they're localizing a game; something always breaks except when someone watches over their shit like a hawk. I've never heard of any company coming close to their level of fuckups when it comes to working on an already finished game.
Evan Flores
Website was launched yesterday, but still no release date.

It apparently got delayed until Fall…so like a month?

Pretty sure there's no reward in CS1 for enemy data, there is in CS2 though.

Baja is pronounced baha. They're idiots who just took the katakana literally, instead of using the word it's supposed to represent. Since it was already in English, there is no excuse.
As opposed to NISA shills who everyone takes seriously right?
Christian Jones
She doesn't show up in the CS games out now since they take place during Crossbell Dunno if she'll pop up in CS3 though
Parker Green
...
Parker Cruz
she's a big part of Ao, but use just see her on the side on Zero, she does nothing then.
Jace Nguyen
so i've been playing origins and liking it so far, is this the kind of game where i should really clutch on to the ores and health boosters i find or nah?
Josiah Butler
Shocking. A pro-denuvo faggot doesn't know what he's talking about.
Liam White
You're fucked, it's the best game. Everything else has to live up to it in your mind from now on.
Leo Williams
Just started Zero, and I have one question: is Randy going to continue to be best boy? Because he's staying on the permanent roster regardless of whether he gets outclassed if so.
Also is there any way to fix this screen tearing holy shit
Daniel Parker
Yes. getting better gear pretty much makes caring for levels pointless in these games.
Nathaniel Walker
Also I'm with the other user that you started off with the best game. At most you'll find Felghana's more difficult bosses more appealing to your taste but otherwise the bump system games and the recent Celceta and Seven will fall really short. Dunno about lacrimosa yet.
Levi Torres
Having started with Origin myself and gone through Ys1 and 2 along with going through Celceta so far, I can say that I agree with the Celceta part, but I still enjoyed 1 and 2 for what they were (1's final boss was one of the toughest and most rewarding bosses to beat for me. Only after beating it did I realize that, due to my game settings for the PC, it actually hindered me even further, making the fact that I beat it with said hindrance even more satisfying.)
While Celceta can be fun, it's hard to stay as motivated to progress in it with other games in my backlog I need to work on. Probably not a good sign when I get a chance to import 8 or wait for the fandub.
Jordan Russell
I quit celceta around the final dungeon because it just never seemed to end, and at that time I really started to realize how much I hated the new gameplay style when it's so barely developed.
Adam Walker
Ys stops using the bump system? That sounds fucking awful
Daniel Nelson
Postes revenite!
Brandon Martin
The new system ain't so bad, especially with how good the bosses are. The new-new system kind of is, especially with how lame the bosses are.
Robert Flores
When does it change? I've only played the first two, but I know Wanderers played like a side scroller in the way Zelda changed for Adventure of Link, but I assumed for 4 it would go back to normal.
Alexander Sanchez
link?
James Harris
I hope we get more of Emma with a wand come CS3. or just more of her in general, falcom don't you screw me over a third time
3 days till release,I wonder how many are gonna abandon the general till an english release comes ?
Joshua Sullivan
[autistic hollering] gonna spend all fucking day back tracking now trying to find that last emerald.
Christopher Hughes
Why haven't you been upgrading your gear?
Logan Barnes
i was saving my SP cuz i didn't know how many uses i would get
Matthew Phillips
CONGRATULATIONS, YUNICA.
should i do runs with the other characters or harder modes? or take a break
Matthew Nguyen
Well the third character is the canon version of the story, so you might want to replay as him. Play on a higher difficulty if you want to.
Jordan Fisher
Forgot to mention, only the third character gets to fight the real endboss.
Cooper Cox
thanks boss. I'll check it out but maybe not tonight
Christopher Sullivan
I'll admit, I'm a bit let down. Oh well. At least there's still Laura and Sara.
Isaac Morris
They could've taken advantage of being one of the very few games that give you multiple cake options to waifu that are actually good characters, but I guess even Falcom's not ready to take the plunge on that market yet. This also gives more evidence that Claire will end up with Michael Irving.
Good taste.
Sebastian Cook
And I was so sure she would be in after CS2
Hurts me physically.
Emma, Sara and Laura are still there, thankfully. I would like to see what Musse's about.
I'm happy that Elise gets friendzoned again, but at the same time we can't get with the Princess.
Eli Howard
Basically >New system: Nephatism, Felghana, Origin. Top down hack n slash. Pretty fast gameplay, lots of great music and the bosses will fuck you up good and rely solely on your skill because you can't heal midboss and gear is about the only thing that ties to how good you'll be fighting enemies(also it had this really cool idea of cutting down on grind, basically trash mobs give you lots of buffs like strength/defense/health up buffs so that you don't need to run back and forth between a save point and moreover getting a combo up gives you an xp multiplier. Levels don't really matter in these games because you'll be leveling up just by normally plowing through these mobs) keep in mind you should always be playing on Nightmare or whatever the hardest difficulty is. Also has jumping. My biggest issue with the new new system is that nothing feels as tight and well made as the new system. The dodge button(there's a dodge button) is insulting mainly because it's pretty much the main way of movement and the block button(there's a block button) is overpowered with the concept that you can completely 100% block an attack with no consequence if you time it right to flash guard, with no mana or consequence like the earth spells in the new system. This combined with how fucking stupid the bosses are just makes for a shit experience that feels like it lasts an eternity. Not to mention your ultimate weapons are limited craftables(like anyone's going to be playing NG+ when it adds jack shit) Oh and Ys Seven drops the biggest fuck you possible in the final boss regarding the party system if you aren't one who rotates their party constantly. I don't know about lacrimosa since it still has the skill, dodge and guard systems from the new new system, but it has jumping. Also this is more a personal thing but Celceta's music mostly sucked
Jaxson Brown
Also for the bump system, Dawn of Ys(4) is pretty fucking good. I wish they'd remake in the style of Chronicles.
David Richardson
Also also about 4, Celceta isn't even the same really cool storyline as Dawn of Ys', which is part of why I really hated Celceta.
Isaac Hughes
OWO whats this?
Kayden Myers
What.
Jackson Myers
Zero editing has reached 40%. Some screenshots were posted.
Durante got the source code to do his magic.
Ethan Hall
And the rest.
Luke Miller
He gets even better in terms of damage and character as time goes on, especially in Ao. He's a bro.
Jonathan Wilson
Got a stupid question. What note is Whereabouts of Light(the harmonica version) played in?
Alexander Morales
This game is already going great places.
Lucas Cooper

Adam Lopez
Post Sara or fuckoff

anyone got undub files for the pc version of tits sc?
Kevin Edwards

Gonna need some kind of machinery to excavate that. In b4 my dick
Noah Williams
Truly things only possible with the power of the PS4.
Tyler King
Whoa, this is a Christian imageboard.
Sebastian Wood

Jayden Harris
Who let this bimbo back in?
Ryan Reyes
Josette a cute, but she really needs some decent crafts or a new orbment setup.
Ryan Nguyen
Well hopefully we won't have to use her in combat.
Colton Lee

Andrew Peterson
Am i the only one who thinks Laura should have been the main girl instead of Alisa?
Parker Allen
Fucking hell what's with the sameface on everything?
Dylan Turner
PAINFUL
Disgusting.
Most of the girls could've been the main character. A lot of them have more in common with Rean and/or actually ties into his story.
Jayden Morris
Plenty of reasons why Laura could be best girl. But this is the first I've seen someone suggesting she should've been main girl. And if you've been around these topics long enough, you've probably seen the arguments on how Emma should've been main girl, yet somehow gets treated as the least important.
Adrian Clark
...
Gabriel Mitchell
No. She has the sole purpose of getting stronger to fight stronger people. More railroaded than CS1.
Angel Perez
...
Chase Bell
So am I the only one who thinks Musse and Sharon look kinda similar?
Thomas Walker
Sharon did say she was recruited with someone else…
Ian Diaz
They all look similar, the artist is unable to draw more than one face.
Evan King
Man Falcom is bringing their a-game for fanservice.
Michael Phillips
HOLY FUCK
I guess the Angelica Autist can celebrate because it looks like she's fucking dead.
It was fucking GEORGE!
That fat fuck is a traitor!
I want off Kondo's wild ride.
Gavin Gomez
Juna sure has a sunny personality.
The first thing I thought when I saw image 2, was that reans coat looked pretty bitchin. Then I noticed butt.
Luis James

Jaxson Gomez
Just how different is CS from Sky? Besides the hotsprings I don't recall anything remotely similar to this.
Oliver Adams
Wait, so Tita is a student?
Jose Jenkins
Yep! And Renne goes to Jenis.
Sebastian Foster
Renne looks very… shapely. I thought Tita would've been some kind of scholarship student who didn't actually have to attend classes, but I guess this makes sense since george and such still did.
Daniel Perez
No one man should have all these cakes!
Jackson Allen
what is going on here
Asher Cox
Angie digs up Crow's grave. The body is a fake. George sees that she knows and shoots her.
Wyatt Sullivan
Welp. Confirmed.
Justin Gray
No Nononononono
Not like this! NOT LIKE THIS! IT ENDS IN ANOTHER FUCKING CLIFFHANGER TOO! WORSE THAN SEN 1'S.
Kevin Martinez
Oh geez, are you fucking kidding me? What happened to "final chapter" of this arc?
Mason Robinson
Osbro and Alisa's dad are the villains. The black workshop is run by gnomes and support them. George is a gnome. Looks like Angie might not be dead. Milium dies to save c7 and Rean goes nuclear. Rips open the corrupted divine beast which taints the world with darkness making everyone more violent. Erebonia goes to war with Calvard when Osbro using Ash frames them for Eugent's assassination. Osbro institutes global conscription. Cedric is his lackey. George plants explosives on the Courageous, seemingly blowing up and killing Victor and Olivert. Everyone is fucked.
Ethan Cruz
>Olivier >Dying Yeah fucking right.
Elijah Ortiz
You see him on the Courageous and you see it blow up, but you're right. I think he's using Osbro's own trick against him.
Isaac Martin
Is it safe in here? The retards on 4chan are literally spamming every thread with untagged spoilers for days
Daniel Ramirez
Doing my best to use spoiler tags, though I feel like I'm the only one posting. Everything is chaos right now.
Aaron Mitchell
Maybe everyone else is being smart and staying away so there's no chance of spoilers. I should probably do the same.
Nicholas Sullivan
Stop going to fucking cuckchan
Thomas Diaz
Okay, so without spoilers, for those who played cs3, which sept-terrion(s) did it end up being? I'm assuming we see them in thius game, right?
Josiah Flores
It's fire (which everyone called) and earth (which no one did).
Parker James
...
Robert Thompson
So apparently the game was split in July of this year because the Chinese localization company complained it was too long. Expect the second part next year.
William Rogers
They're now posting majorly spoilertastic images right in the OP for everyone to see right in the catalog. What a bunch of faggots.
Ryder Johnson
Christ this is easily the darkest Kiseki. Hearing Jusis cryout for Millium actually hurt. And goddamn, Olivert's last words: "I'm so sorry, Schera." That's not how I wanted to find out, Kondo!
At least there's still Aurelia in a swimsuit.
Samuel Harris
Does anybody have any pics of the new mechs?
Daniel Lewis
If this is real then I missed out on absolutely nothing shame about those delicious cakes, though
Dylan Adams
It id literally the most plot dense game in the series and it's only half over.
Anthony Nelson
reans edgy mode makes me cringe
Noah Rivera
Reans speeches make me cringe.
Jaxon Butler
Shoulda been Alyssa.
Wyatt Parker
Sadly she gets plot relevance in the 11th hour. It's finally clear why she's the "main heroine." Its just way too late.
Benjamin Green
Go >>>/back/ there you fucking faggot
Daniel King
Go >>>/back/ there you fucking faggot
Wyatt Gutierrez
Laxia is super fucking cute. Her personality is fun too.
Elijah Wilson
Where can I pirate a version of Trails in the Sky JP version only? Can be EVO version or not.
Landon White
Whats the status of Ao no Kiseki boys?
Brandon Kelly
Last I checked 56% translated.
Elijah Morales
Once again only Alishit gets a kissu. Laura and Emma get romantic options though (because you can do multiple events the romances have a special dialogue choice). Sadly Fie and Sara don't. Laura's scene is very cute. Emma feels like she gets shafted, sadly. Zero physical contact. Laura gets hand holding and a hug.
Isaac Nguyen
Really fucking hoping that is right about the two part split cos if so then hopefully the main "romance" segments should be in that part hopefully making them better and fuller FOR ALL FUCKING MAIN CHARACTERS than the shit we seem to have gotten here. The bloody reunion scenes in CS2 seem to have had about the same/more emotion/contact, heck the pics posted earlier of what I assume to be Laura's reunion in CS3 seems to have the same content more or less as her final bonding.
how pathetic, why even give us a choice if you gonna be like this? fuck Falcom and Alisafags.
Asher Bennett
The game is definitely split. So hopefully Final Saga will have better romances.
Robert Sullivan
Remember seeing this, any other sources to back it up ? Its definitely not the only reason, but I could see it being a contributing factor, seems likely enough.
Doesn't even make sense considering it'd take just as much if not less time to animate a kiss/hug compared to random one off animations that appear throughout. Millium's animations in CS1/2 come to mind, and i'd imagine there's similar in CS3 They don't have any bloody excuse, while I don't like it making Alisa the main focus is fair enough, but deliberately shafting other girls is just shitting on your fans.
So there's still hope for Claire/Aurelia/Duvalie I think this is what battered wife syndrome feels like at this point
Ayden Ross
Yeah I choose to hope. There's still one last game. Also Agate not really working to subvert people's expectations here.
Carter Allen
I don't have any other sources, sorry. That's all I got.
I want it, but I doubt.
Josiah Bennett
What else can you expect from a characters whose gimmick was to gain CP ?
Aaron Hill
It's good to see my girl again!
Christopher Powell
best girl
Grayson Ramirez
That's a big phone
Robert Adams
Excellent post.
Adrian Johnson
A jrpg party roster where I can't see a single character under 18. How many years has it been since I have seen something so glorious.
Hunter Stewart
Did you not see Tita?
Colton Lee
Reminder to SPOILER THE SPOILERS
Ayden Barnes
And if you can't do that, then fuck off to 4chan where everyone spoils everything because fuck you
Liam Murphy
Shit missed her behind Olivier's arm, well mostly 18+
Leo Williams
Fyi my computer died, so making an OP from my phone would be very hard. I'd appreciate it if someone could take over for a while.
William Bell
If I've already missed character notes in Cold Steel II, is there any reason to continue collecting them all on my first playthrough? Won't I just have to do it all over again on my second unless I waste a point on preserve the notebook?
Grayson Walker
Some character notes are behind bonding events. You can't get all character notes on the first playthrough.
Christopher James
I don't know if you can collect all on your first playthrough or at least with out doing it a singular specific way If you've already missed one assuming you want 100% and/or platinum and don't wanna reload then there's definitely no point. Personally I just went for whoever I wanted first playthrough then went for perfect chara notes on 2nd.
Lucas Ward
Some are behind bonding events, but there's always enough bonding points get them all, usually with one extra.
Brayden Ross
Well I did mis something. You need 50% character note completion to get the medal of love from Alfin.
Eli Thompson
Actually, no. I did have enough.
Landon Ward
Agreed it was a big disappointment to hear the bare bones OST in a series with such amazing tracks as Ys.
Also, why is Hugo from origin such a emo? played as Yunica and now started playing as Hugo, i'm finishing guilty fire and he is fucking insufferable, demon girl want his D hard and he just keeps talking about how his brother is better than him. I know i shouldn't expect much from a mage, but damn, at least respect your elders, guy disrespects everyone.
John Cook
...
David Murphy
...
Austin Moore
So much stuff happens in Chapter 1 that I actually thought I had finished Chapter 2 at first when it actually ended. The amount of ground they cover in a few days in this game is crazy.
Matthew Martin
Best chapter 1 in series history. Chapter 2 is a little less happening but still very good. Then chapter 3 is insane and it keeps building from there. Remember when chapter 1 of FC was looking for a lost airship? Or in Zero when were investigating some wolves? Or in CS when you were looking for some vandals and stolen property? CS3 just turns up the heat from word go.
Camden Rodriguez
yeah there were several events in chapter 1 alone that could have been the end of a chapter in FC or Zero. Also, there's a ton less time skipping. If you see the calendar, chances are you're only going to skip ahead to the next day or something. April 22nd-24th had so much stuff happening, for example.
Jackson Reyes
Wait, when Kondo said we were 60% done he was referring to the "sen no kiseki arc", i.e. he's including CS4 or CS3 part 2 whatever they call it Assuming that it's of similar length and density to CS3 that means the plot is now much bigger than expected, or at least it's gonna last longer, i.e. if the Erebonia arc is bigger but still within the 60% boundary, the Calvard arc must be bigger than expected also. I'm guessing here but i'd assume something along the lines of Liberl - 10% Crossbell - 20% Erebonia - 35% Calvard - 30% Finale - 5% Going by Kondo's comments regarding each game's plot significance and contribution to the overall story Liberl kinda fucks things up due to TiTS1 not being too plot relevant but adding to length though due to overlap it's hard to fairly judge but for speculative purposes regarding Calvard it does CS1/2 are both around 80+ hour games, for most players at least and for a single play though, with CS3, both parts, i'd assume 200 hours, hence Calvard should be 300+ at least, significantly more than earlier assumptions based on CS3's initial assumed length. apologies if this is incoherent I've had too much to drink
Finally they've fixed one of the big issues many have, maybe next time they'll figure out how to properly size a game in advance :^)
