So how are the Bloodrayne games?

I haven't played them much but I always though of Bloodrayne as cheap fun with a sexy vampire lead. Unless I'm mistaken she kills nazis so it really couldn't get any more pulp and over the top. I never liked how it controls so I bailed on it before playing too deep into the first one, but if pulp action with a sexy vampire killing nazis in the PS2-era sounds fun to you then be my guest. I bet alt-left fags feel super conflicted by it because while it is about killing nazis it's most certainly "OBJECTIFYING" the lead.

Only played the first one, fun game in which you are an overpowered vampires, slashing nazis, werewolves and other creatures. The game never takes itself too seriously and the combat is simple but satisfying, with all the dismemberment in slow motion. Nver played the second one, but from what I saw, it's a totally different game from a gameplay perspective. Both games can be bought for cheap, 1$ each, whenever there is a GoG sale, and I presume this is also true for the steam version, or you can get them for free from any torrent site.

They're okay, sorta. The first Bloodrayne suffers from annoying switch hunting and "puzzles", on top of atrocious platforming sections and difficulty spikes that get in the way of the superb carnage you can unleash upon the enemy. Another problem is that the game has far too many samey guns you won't give a fuck to distinguish one from the other since all they're good for is shooting at the soldiers until you can close in and use your wristblades to tear them to shreds.

First one is good. Second was trashed for introducing this new mechanic where you have to fling enemies into a death trap or something to progress in the game. Depending on the control you used for it, it could be easy but it can be hard and you'll be stuck fighting endless waves of enemies until you get it right. I remember it being linear. The only good thing I remember from it was the female boss enemies.

I kinda liked this mechanic apart from that fucking disco/nightclub level where it was just major pain in the ass, i think i managed to do it once and then on a next playthroughs just used cheats to bypass the fucking level.
