I don't agree with the western shit in /hgg/ either, given that hentai is a japanese term for japanese cartoon pornography, but given that there is and was never enough of a population to keep just pure japanese ero games posting going on that board without it dying I don't mind them as long as they stick to their own threads and aren't pushing off living threads (which they aren't, most of the threads on the bottom are old and dead threads).

I've been there since the start. Hell, I even pitched the idea for someone to make that board. The board has always been in a state of being dead outside of the western posters, as it turns out the amount of people who know japanese or how to run, install, play AND THEN talk about japanese porn games is too small to keep a board afloat by itself. This is just the compromise, and as long as they keep themselves self-contained I don't see the issue, other than "muh page 1" even though most people use catalog. If you start a thread, people might respond or they might not – that's just how imageboards work. If you're too lazy to start up a thread or respond to other threads that interest you then all you'll keep seeing is stuff that doesn't interest you.

I browse /hgg/ everyday and the text games are only like 3 active threads at the time. There's no patron shilling because the patron links usually get removed, although not the user names of them, and they heavily hate patreon there anyway, only games with Patreon are Incestral Awake that actually looks promising so far and the Avatar one. The board is slow, sure, but so is 90% of Holla Forums.
