There's definitely a certain degree of skill and intuition required to make certain things happen in the game. There's a number of different win conditions you can choose to beat or choose not to. I will say the game is very slowly paced but that's why they populated it with interesting characters. That's where the whole "comfy" factor comes into play.

Having the (((diverse))) cast is what brings the town to life and where the game gets it's charm. Otherwise you're just doing fetch quests and menial chores. Honestly I can't think of any other triple AAA game that really captures the kind of weird interactions you get from living in a small town the way AC does. That's why it's comfy.
