Start with Kiwami, 0 has tons of nods to the first Yakuza game. On top of that, Kiwami is also cheaper to buy than 0, so if you don't like Kiwami you wont be out of that much money.
Yakuza
And the second and the fourth.

You mean those PC ports we were supposed to get spring 2016 and now we're lucky to get one classic SEGA game ported to PC every few months?
No. Start with 1, play the series as it came out, you'll find it more satisfying. Kiwami wasn't intended to introduce players to the series, more be a nostalgia trip for people who played 1 when it was fresh.
You mean back in 2016 when SEGA said absolutely nothing about porting Yakuza 0 to PC?
Didn't Yakuza 1 age like shit?
Not in my opinion, the only really bad part about it in my eyes is the dub, it actually really bothers me that there isn't an Undub mod yet. Still, it's not even that bad really, I mean Mark Hamil is fucking great in it, it's just people like Michael Madsen who phone it in.
I guess the battle system is a little clunky but it's honestly not that bad, and really isn't that bad if you're not used to how later titles did it. Plus dealing with 1's system will make you appreciate 2's more for the gem it is, not to mention the rest of the series as you move on. 2's a real gem and I doubt Kiwami first players will be able to appreciate it properly.
Besides, who cares how clunky 1 is when Kiwami has low production values (like reused PS2 animations that look horrible on modern models) and other things that may make you view the series in a bad light. At least start with 1 you know you're getting in to a PS2 game and it's not a poorly produced PS2 game at that.
Yakuza is shit unless you love moviegames with shallow gameplay, just like another Sonygger favorite, Metal Gear Solid.
