I don't get it. I'm trying to make my first webms, and I thought I had it figured out enough so they wouldn't be bloated and look like shit, but now whenever I try to post it just gives me "Invalid webm uploaded." Is there some trick to it?

what software did you use to make it? Did you rename a mp4 into webm? Did you cancle the progress? Something is wrong with your webm, I remember getting that webm whenever I tried to upload a not finished webm. E.g. xmedia would crash and I would try to upload the 80% done webm, and I would get that error.

I'm on linux. This is what I threw in and it appears to have made the webm 100%. It plays near perfectly on VLC (VLC gives me an Unidentified Codec error, but then still plays it normally so I haven't investigated that yet), and plays on MPC-HC fine and dandy.

I skimmed it when I started and still have some of the resources open. I just don't want to expend countless minutes/hours hunting down the source of a problem I don't understand ("Invalid Webm Uploaded" doesn't tell me shit and the webm's otherwise fine,) which is why I thought I'd ask here. I guess all I can do is keep trying and tweaking shit until I eventually get it right.

well you could upload the broken one to mega.co.nz and post the link to that webm place, someone there is surely able to analyze it and tell you what's wrong with it. I did the same with my early webm's.

I was already preparing myself for that, should I not be able to solve the mystery myself. I believe I saw a few of your posts in there as well, and they gave me some ideas.

Ayy, that worked, but that was made using an mp4 raw version. The ones I've been trying to make are subtitled mkvs, which, according to >>>/webm/8143 is not okay.

I'm not quite convinced it's the subs are the exact problem I'm having, but it's a start.
