So, tonight I saw the Power Rangers movie…and it was very good. I was not expecting it to actually have characters who, basically, acted like kids who were in over their head, realized they were idiots, and then grew from it and fought for a greater purpose. Also, they spent most of the movie out of their costumes because it was something they had to "earn" (By acting like a team), so they were actually built these characters up to their full potential before giving them the goods. In addition, Rita also came across as a threatening character, edging on horror film levels (Though, she did feel a bit absent for a noticeably small part of the film). Also, I have to say, the suit and zord designs are pretty bad, and you have a bit of a hard time figuring out just what they are. But, honestly, I was not expecting to be that blown away. It is that good of a film, and I thought they handled it rather well. If you guys have any interest in seeing it, I'd say go for it. It was not the cash-grab that the ads made look like it was. I'm not suicidal. I'm just tired of people and their badgering, nagging and expectations. I work, but the people I deal with don't like me and I don't like them. They're irritating and make me want to pop a blood vessel every time I interact. I would like to leave before the stress does something to me (family has a history of hypertension and paralysis) but if I do I won't be able to pay the bills, because my country is going to shit (companies are closing down/downsizing etc, so it's really tough to get a job. And there aren't any unemployment grants or anything). I've been looking for another job but it's been pretty fruitless. The company I work for is probably going to downsize too, because they're slowly letting people go from different departments.

My family doesn't really help either. My brother is a lazy drunkard and my aunts/uncles just care about keeping up appearances. My mother isn't doing so well (paralysis on her left side) but she's the most active and non-bullshit person I know.

I don't care about doing something awesome. I don't want to kill myself. I just want to be comfortable and content with some money to pay the bills and look after my mother.

I think you should really start listening to Jordan B. Peterson's stuff. I used to think quite similarly to you, and the more I learn about the biological and psychological underpinnings of human behavior — primarily the evolutionary side of things — the more I realize that some of these things are horribly ignorant. Take this for example:

From the evolutionary perspective, there are two main motors that drive our species' development. The first one, which I'm sure you already heard of, is the combination of random mutation and natural selection. It solves the problem of us living in an ever changing world that is complex beyond our comprehension. You can't make a plan for something like that, so what you do is create as many variations as you can and most of them die, but those that survive propagate and make a good basis for the next round.

The second one is sexual selection, which is roughly about solving the problem of who should get to procreate.
In the grand scheme of things, it was very recently that we split off from our last common ancestor with chimpanzees. It was just a few million years ago. Look at what how far they have progressed compared to us in the same period of time. The reason for that is sexual selection. Chimpanzees are hypergamous, while humans are not. Chimp females get into heat and everyone gets to procreate. Our species on the other hand, makes a conscious choice about who get's to propagate their genetic material into the future.
What happened is that we favored intelligent men which, with intelligence being largely genetic, meant that the next generation was more intelligent on average. Then we picked the most intelligent of these which raised the average IQ even further and so on. So we got this effect that reinforced itself. This sort of positive feedback loop is the only way a species can make such tremendous leaps in development over such short periods of time (evolutionary speaking). Again, look at what chimps managed in meantime.

That issue of choice is no less complex than the issue of adaptability in natural selection. There's just too many damn mates you could choose from and not a chance you could evaluate enough potential partners. The evolutionary solution we came up with works twofold. Firstly, the females (being the ones who actually produce the offspring) get to choose the optimal males. How do they choose, given that it's of uncomputable complexity? They let the males figure it out among themselves by their own rules.
What happens is that the males compete with each other and produce a set of male dominance hierarchies. The males compete and elevate those in which they detect admirable qualities to higher socioeconomic status. Just look at the men are that you admire, both in real life and fiction. You don't admire men who are corrupt, deceitful, unconscientious, immoral, unethical, lazy, dumb, naive or flat-out malevolent. You admire men who are in some form heroic, which is where heroes come from. Men look at men they deem admirable, and on a long enough timeline they extract out what their specific admirable qualities are and collect it into an abstract ideal man. That is what a hero is; the man who can climb to the top of all possible dominance hierarchies. What's interesting is that you don't need to teach children what heroes are. You can take kids who had no exposure to this sort of thing to a superhero movie, and they figure it out in no time. The ability to detect these qualities in people is that deeply embedded inside of us. And the reverse is also true. When you look at a SJW mob and pay attention to the "male allies", you don't think "respectable men". No one had to explain to you what exactly it is you know is wrong with these pathological men. You just know it instinctively, because what you're looking at is the bottom of the male dominance hierarchy trying to play the system rather than doing what males are supposed to do: Step up their game and compete.

It's probably also a reason why Judeo-Christian free-market capitalist systems work so phenomenally well. Our religious tradition doesn't interfere with the females selecting the most optimal mate by the standards of the males. Look at the middle-east for comparison, where the males make this decision unilaterally and not predicated on competence. They're literally stuck in the middle ages. On top of that our free-market capitalist system provides excellent ground for the males to compete with one another. It's by no means perfect — like nothing is— but your success in the economic market is a killer indicator of your qualities. Without taking some time, you can't know for certain whether a poor guy is useless or just had phenomenally bad luck. But you you can make a fairly safe assumption that the business owner next door must have done something right. Think about that the next time you hear that western women are greedy witches who are only after your money. It's why women marry across and up socioeconomic status (in general). It is not socialization, it is not western women being corrupted, it is not something wrong with "the system". It is literally the evolutionary process that separated us from chimps. I mean, what are the alternatives? You either reverse the situation and the females start marrying down the hierarchy or you do your best to produce equality of outcome in reproduction with science. Either way you would get rid of sexual selection and demolish what allowed our species to develop as fast as it did.

Let me be perfectly clear: I'm not saying that we don't have huge problems in regards to sexuality in our culture. We live in a time in which absolute sexual freedom is celebrated, yet each interaction between men and women should be controlled to ridiculous degrees according to the same people. We are normalizing a serious mental disorder and urging those people to get a treatment that's irreversible and produces massive amounts of suicides. The way society and the court systems in particular treat men is absolutely horrible. And just to top it off, we devalue marriage.
What I'm advocating for is that we solve the actual problems rather than throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
