Neogaf continued its heavy banning policy until every user just about conformed with what their ideal site would be. So now people dont even go to neogaf unless they are the exact type that would fit in there due to how hostile it is. Same with Kotaku.

Over time the owners got swept up into the social climate shift and started to act out their own beliefs and force them onto the users, either shoving them out or changing them.
