Chicago Re-seller guy update. I've been working my ass off & I'm nearing my limits both physically & mentally. Some of the things I did recently.

Today I found out there's a new Chicago "sugar tax" on all drinks with sugar in them, on top of the amusement tax & plastic bag tax they've been running. This tax also taxes things with no sugar in them (artificial sweeteners).

On the plus side I think I've doubled or even tripped my efforts, so I'm seeing money roll back in much more than I expected, so I'm hopeful. I figure I have about a month or 2 until the entire city implodes in on itself. They start building the wall in September I believe (they're drilling survey holes right now I think).

Here's the thing: I'm coming to the point where I think I'm outgrowing image boards.

I also went from awkward young adult with no sex life to making it to the Neapolitan club (white, black, Asian).

With this newfound satisfaction and pride, I find myself at constant odds with the image board culture. I've been around long enough to have been a fervent supporter of the whole "anonymous" concept of an egalitarian internet community where words and comments, rather than the popularity of any given user, were most valued. I went to a video game venue at a mall today, hoping once again that someone would have enough interest in Puyo Tetris that they would play it more than just once or twice then setting it down. I don't like Smash 4 either - especially in a competitive atmosphere - so I just spent most of my 4 and a half hours at the mall wandering around aimlessly.

To be honest, I've never played Overwatch. I don't have any desire to. Not because of politics, but because I'm simply not interested, but I'm happy that others enjoy it and it brings people together.

Back in 2007, the "year the internet died," there were plenty of discussions about Portal shortly after it's release. There were fanart threads and even sing-along posts.

By the following Spring, Portal was reviled as the gateway game for people trying to get into the "gamer trend." Instead of enjoying a game and having fun with it, we instead divert our attention to outrage.

Since then, it's been one outrage after another: Outrage over DLC schemes, outrage over localization changes, outrage over gaming journalism.

Meanwhile, we mock and berate people on the other side being outraged over lack of diversity or a female lead.

Maybe there is shit that goes down that doesn't do anybody any good in this industry, but being a community full of cynical cunts that cannot tolerate anyone suggesting that things may not be all that bad, and fun can still be had, is far worse.

Very easy. The same reason discussions here divert into politics and are unfiltered. Because most on 8ch stay for the truth. If you can't get to the truth of a matter you are told "lurk moar" or "gas yourself kike" as a means to get rid of undesirable liars who never learn better. That's what makes gore so effective. Liar's like that can't accept reality and must reject it or be met with cognitive dissonance in dealing with it. Gore is still disgusting tbh.

Quit projecting what SJW's do. Yes you may percieve 8ch doing that but in reality there are people here that have more life experience than you, a full on zogbot. They also have delved deeper into the truth of stuff as to justify saying 1488 and the such. Surely policing you see this?
