The game may only have one map, but the map is fairly big and mechanically the game works fucking wonderfully. The game has a shitload of replay value, despite having few assets. It gets updated enough so that I don't worry. Besides, it's getting the desert map soonTM

I played a round of this game at a friends house a while back.. Everything about it just felt like it would have been so much better done on Arma 3, and in fact was essentially just a watered down version of said game but with the Hunger games style vibe. It's certainly not worth the amount it's up for right now, and I'd dare to say that it's not even worthy of most of the attention it's received. Pretty sure it's because the game is one of those fucking streamer bait games.

This game would have had a lot more flavour if it would have included different game modes, or certain matches without firearms, or vehicle only, but no. It's just the standardised shit that will likely never leave early access until at least 2019.

As far as the game goes, it's Dayz with a reason to kill other people, and without an external threat. If there's ever a way to make an FPS boring it's to make an "open world" map and give you 1 life to explore it.

I disagree that it would be better on Arma 3's engine. Part of what makes the game better than its Arma 3 mod cousin is that you don't have to deal with the bad inventory system, extremely low tickrate, and buggy, choppy infantry movement and gun handling.

The game has problems, but not being made in the Arma engine isn't one of them.

Arma 3 runs like ass, true – but there's something about the ballistics in that game I just can't seem to get enough of.

Definitely buggy too.. Come to think of it maybe they did the right thing, but overall I wish they'd kept the ballistics mechanics in, I fucking love ballistic drop and rebound and bullets not travelling at the speed of light tbh

Eh, PUBG does a good enough job of keeping true to the source material that I won't begrudge it.

The one thing it really needs is bullet pen, which ironically is something Arma 3 does a shit job of. (Mostly because they use materials for all the buildings in their maps that are near impervious to anything short of .50 cal fire.)

It's a fun game, user, but it's a game for people with rl friends. I have a bunch that I play with, and I have a great time, but most of Holla Forums is bitter degenerates who don't socially network, so they'll never know true happiness.

This happens to me too if I dont restart my game once in a while, I'm not sure if it's just that you NEED a ssd and my 7200rpm hdd isn't cutting it or if it's a 8gb ram coupled with the memory leak issue.
