Look guys we can all debate about how p2w this game is and yeah i agree that the pets are a must have to have a good income from the grind i only have 3 and if you grind in a group you dont really nead more. the real question is how many dollars you get for your hours, and personally i dont spend money on value packs because i only find the redeeming quality of it to be the 30% back from marketplace sales.

So, before i go ahead and make my point about this game being pretty cheap for a long term player i have to adress the way i play the game, I mostly spend my time afk fishing for relics. There thats it i honestly cant say i spend most of my time ig doing something more active.

Whit that being said, ive spent 150euros on this game and played it for a year and a quarter, and if you do the math is reduced to a payment of 0.3€ per day.

In summasion for other people my oppinion of this game is quite grand, but at times very lackluster, and my biggest expectations lies in the arena combat that is in the korean version of the game where you play 5v5 instead of the shitshow RBF. The gripes i have whit the game im is that its at times the easyest inconvinence of your time (because i kinda dont like long grind sessions) and the hardest most inconsiderate poorly constructed player versus player experience imaginable.

As someone who is close to hitting max level, the game is very lackluster and easy.
Don't get me wrong, the combat and character customization is enjoyable. But it's just too easy and there's no sense of progress.
Why employ an action-based combat system where you can dodge and input combos but make the player kill everything in one hit even at max levels? Is there an actual point when the game gets challenging?

BDO is pretty fun for about a week, maybe a bit less while you enjoy exploring, autistically set up a perfect supply chain to your towns/properties to build whatever it is you want to build, etc. then it totally fucking shits the bed by barraging you with cash shop ads, enforcing an arbitrary maximum amount that you can sell shit for, not allowing you to trade with other players (seriously) and basically encouraging you not to play the game for a bunch of the different professions (fishing, horse breeding etc)

let me put it this way: when it launched i spent days and days doing nothing but perfecting my supply chain. i was going to build boats, you see, thinking that everyone wants a fuckin boat, i'm going to get in on the ground floor here and dominate the market forever. this is how i had my fun in tabula rasa's dye market and i was bound and determined to do it again. imagine my surprise when after days of work and over a million silver or whatever the fuck the currency is, I built the server's first fishing boat and immediately went to list it for sale. the maximum price was so pathetically low that it was a straight-up slap in the face and basically shit all over me for choosing to build those instead of anything else. meanwhile, you can sell and make literal fucking dog food and make more of a profit margin on that than anything else. after i realized that i just plain uninstalled and haven't been back; the garbage combat, "ride this horse for 72 literal real world hours to max its level" style bullshit and that fucking cap on the market absolutely steered me away

it took two days at full production steam to make one fishing boat, since they require so many refined goods/materials that can only be crafted by your peons (or bought but with a profit margin that bad you're going to want to cut any corner you can to save money). and the boats themselves take something like 24 hours or so to build, and that's when you've got every material you need to make it. that's why it was so jarring to see such a disgustingly low price, because a half hour of gathering meat/cooking can produce like 200,000 worth of dog food which is also guaranteed to sell, and meanwhile something that takes exponentially longer to create actually brings in less money profit-margin wise

Okay first off you click the uninstall.exe in the BDO root folder, this allows you to minimize the space the game takes up. Then you play an actually fun game that's not a horrible gear treadmill based single player game.
