What games should I emulate besides the PS1 games and Dawn/Dusk?

Well, for fun you could get the Rumble Arena 2 that as on gamecube/ps2/xbawks.

"Digimon world 4", or it's real name, X Evolution, is technically PSO but with digimon characters swinging around oversized weapons, absurd requirements to unlock evolutions (which is just a way to change special attacks) and really is only worth playing so you know the backstory leading into the X Evolution movie.

There was a really shitty PS2 Digimon Savers game. The graphics were good and the game had some promise, but they made the battle interface the most ass-backwards piece of shit I've ever seen in my god damn life.

When that game tanked, Bamco stopped sending games overseas, though I believe Decode and Lost Evolution were the two main games we missed during that time.

It's the anime series in video game format. It becomes almost trivially easy once you get digivolutions, but it's fine if you just want to enjoy the ride, like i did. Also, Mimi/Palmon is my favorite duo.

So a while back I came up with a list of the last two stages of Digimon for Decode, so I would waste as little of my time as possible getting them all. I ran into a completely different problem when making a similar list for the original Digimon World. In it, there are 29/30 (I forget) Champion/Adult Digimon while the stage after has like 14/15 (I also forget). Thankfully Digimon World has some absolutely bizarre slide evolutions, so I was able to cut it down somewhat. At the least I might be able to fuck around with it enough to do some tournaments or something. Would anyone like my progress so far, and possibly help me out?

The problem isn't that they're once a day, that you have to sign up for them beforehand, or even that there's a small window to play them in said day. The problem is you will rarely have the right Digimon for any of the obscure type tournaments on the right day. And that's considering they even qualify when they probably should. Why can't Etemon enter the filth tournament anyway?

Nope, it's a PS1 game with digimon in a turn based style. Theres other shit to do, like card battles, but the game is done 1v1 with pokemon style battles.

The Digimon Story games are decent Turn based JRPGs if that's what you were looking for in DW3. Theres I believe three of them for the DS, two are a pair similar to pokemon versions.

I have a simple question with a simple Yes or No answer that doesn't tell me as a player that refuses to rely on guides for what to do to uncover and enjoy a game's secrets.

I cannot find any in game guide whatsoever for Armor and DNA requirements. Can I find something that let's me do this? Does it simply exist in the game for other players to know exactly what stats and XP are needed when eventually tracked down? I'm guessing Aptitude plays a major part because I bought a farm good that has DNA for an icon and raises it.

You pretty much have to find the requirements on your on though luck. The games tells you next to nothing on that shit without people actually doing it.

While watching the show as a kid I always hated that digimon and her digimaster. No surprise that it's used exclusively by furfaggots and avatarfags now.

AoA was basically akin to a mafia who was using the network login as their base and committing their crimes in the digital space. They made for a convenient pawn when a digimon-like program got ahold of the satellite information to attack the real world, most likely in some sort of bid to destroy it and again ,remove humans, because Yggdrasil rolls that way.

Ruki/Rika is pretty insufferable early on and Renamon is fairly irritating early on as well, so it's cathartic to see Renamon unable to harm Guilmon (the supposed nice guy).

At the end of the day and after a LOT of character development, Renamon turns out to be rather loving and somewhat motherly to Rika and Rika expresses a severe detachment disorder due to her mother never being around and in a fucked up way, renamon and rika have a sort of mother daughter relationship.

When digimon was brought to the states, a boatload of named were changed. This wasn't just to the digimon themselves, but to their attacks.

I think it's mostly been just Collector cards considering the fact that most adults are fond of the art on them and prefer to collect rather than play.

well it MIGHT come about. Remember, the creators are listening to their dedicated fanbase so if a big enough noise for the TCG is made, for at LEAST a video game version of it, it may indeed get made.

Nobody plays it as a TCG because the cards just started getting released before they were killed when Yu-gi-oh took off and realistically there were a lot of other TCGs with established fanbases like Magic that it just couldn't compete as a TCG alone. Nobody plays it as an extension to the TV show/games because it's generally less popular than Pokemon with the demographic that such TCGs are aimed at. mainly children Since they didn't really give it time to establish any sort of playerbase before dropping it a lot of people tend to forget it even exists so getting them to bring it back if even possible will be even more difficult than just getting them to start bringing the games over here again.

The only release I've seen lately were collector sets that were literally just for people who wanted the art. Nobody is going to want to crack open their 200$ complete collector sets to play the game. So the only hope would be they either re-release everything and start producing new cards OR they make a video game version and call it a day Monkey paw version though, it's a mobile game with microtransactions because Bandai wants money. They've apparently released multiple Digimon TCGs in Japan though which is a bit retarded because nobody is going to buy an entirely new TCG when you already had a TCG previously

Technically, it was in the class of "handheld games".

Do you recall games like monster Rancher, dragon seeds, basically raising sims? If not, the shorthand is that 10% of the game was battles, 10% was exploring, and the other 80% was 1 on 1 time with your monster. You trained it, took care of it's wounds, fed it, let it rest when it was tired, and generally just watched for it's well being.

Digimon was the forefather of that and the little LCD pets needed to be fed, cleaned up after, and trained. However what was unique about digimon in comparison to any other vpet of the time was the ability to connect them to a friend's pet and battle it. Digimon were not able to battle until they reached the rookie/child form (which took roughly 2 real world days). Champions were better and lasted about 4 days but would die after that unless you had enough battles during the champion time (usually about 10).

And all of this was on a frigging keychain.

it was kind of a genius idea, too bad the technology of the time didn't really allow for it to be pulled off better, and the technology of the current time drowns people with an infinity of instant-reward McDonalds-tier-of-mass-production consumable media, to the point that even if you tried to pull something like digimon Vpets with improved graphics, better connectivity, more fancy devices and more, it would be like a drop of water in an ocean of piss. specially if they actually go as far as charging 60 bucks for the little device.

Which Digivice is the most fun?

I can't tell you what is most fun, but Digimon Adventure for PSP apparently came with a digital version of the first Digivice, so if you want one that's easily pirated that's your best option. Can't say anything about spending real money for anything though.
As for virtual pets, there was a WonderSwan version of it that looked pretty good. But any of the v-pet-like World games is probably a better waste of your time.
