Maybe I should try that. I haven't played Golden Sun since it was new.
Doesn't Nocturne already have a hard mode?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think I heard that it's more of a chore than a challenge, so I didn't go for it.
I beat that one. Finished the Deep Dungeon (had to do some really insane shit, but I did it, and I got Zodiac and all the items) as well. It was pretty long ago, though, when I still played hacks.
It was good, because it actually forced you to take full advantage of all the mechanics and skills.
Original Tactics is way too easy, which is a shame, considering just how much you can do with all those classes. Squeenix never made a similar (but harder) game again either, which is retarded.
I never got into Tactics Advance, but maybe I should try again. It didn't appeal to me when I played it, but maybe it will interest me now.
That's just a waste of time. If you want to grind, just grind normally. If the hack is supposed to make the game harder, then why the hell would you do that much to make it easier?
I chose to just get to lvl99 quickly, and scale the enemies to be as strong as possible. The game is better when the enemies can use all of their skills against all of your skills.
Especially considering how weak the enemies are in the normal game. You barely get to take advantage of all the shit that you can do in that game.
Grinding for JP without leveling up is excessive. Lvl99 is the best way to do it, and you don't have to optimize your growths either. You just need to be strong enough and get the skills that you want.
