Whats the deal with panzer dragoon? I see it mentioned a lot here in rpg threads and in starfox threads...

I'm more talking about the biblical representation of the father (dragon) the son (edge) and the holy spirit (player) being directly referenced at times and being the reason your name is asked in the beginning, so that the father might directly communicate with you.

Its an old semi obscure jrpg garbage

Of course these hipster weebs will try to gain weeb cred by talking about it

saga was an rpg
the previous two games and Orta are on-rails shooters

forgot your sage

It's a dead franchise, which from time to time gets an "spiritual succesor" by a company that's not Sega or even small homages in sections of games made by companies that are not Sega.

Ein was a pretty basic rail shooter, but had amazing graphics for 1994 and the best soundtrack.

Zwei added dragon transformations at the end of each stage based on performance and branching paths.

Orta took the power / defence / agility / etc. transformations of Saga, and is also one of the best looking sixth gen games. You can also unlock the original game and other stuff in Pandora's Box.

I'd rank them Zwei > Orta > Ein, all three are worth playing.

Do you or do you not?
Why do you ask us about your vision?

quality post

Have they EVER done saturn emulation though? The few they've rereleased(panzer dragoon, Sonic R) have just been PC ports.

You also have to remember the Saturn was dead in the water by the time Saga was released in the US. SoA wasn't going to risk the expense of dubbing the game into English.
