SHOOT EM UPS SHMUPS SHOOT EM DOWNS
I bought a bunch of shoot'em ups on the Steam sale since I've wanted to like them like a gamer girl trying to fit in for a while. I asked for advice on games to start with a while back since I would only end up playing one for 5 minutes. It's like asking for advice on ice cream.
I've been trying BLUE REVOLVER. I don't want to shill this game but as someone who knows nothing about shmups I think it's pretty ace. I'm not score driven but I even find that side slightly compelling. The difficulty is fair but challenging and ramps up as you go on at a nice pace. Still haven't beaten the game. Brute forced my way through Mushihimesama with continues and it made me feel like a faggot. I know it's not the one to start with but these are the 2 that have took my tongue. I like the visuals, audio and shit. BLUE REVOLVER looks like it's some edgy pixel at a glance but it has its own style that really is pleasing to watch.
