Hey user, finish that backlog yet?

Hey user, finish that backlog yet?

I'll finish YOU, user! đź’–

...

I pretty much deleted 3/4 of my backlog simply because i wasn't interested enough to play those games that everyone praises.

Finishing my backlog would require my PC to be working, and I'm a neet with no money

gay

I don't really have a backlog, I just play a game till completion than start a new one.
completed 6 games this year

Got no munny? Sell some cunny! That's it hunny!

I don't have one, I just play whatever I please but I don't like dropping a game so it gets kinda boring when a game is too long or has a tough section.

Pimpin ain't easy user

Haha

Just put on a frilly dress and spread your cheeks

Trapping ain't easy either

All I'm hearing is excuses to not make money.

I'm a neet for a reason, man

no, but I am making decent progress
I finished 18 games in the last 2 months

What kind of games? Surely not rpgs.

What kind of games? Surely not rpgs.

are they so pozzed that they need condoms to have gay sex

I keep flipflopping between games while waiting for Dark Souls 3 to finish downloading.

Also ctrl + shift + R since Codemonkey implemented a save-link-as for hashes and Unix timestamps in addition to fixing the "82ajk29a32…" original filename bit.

I've been trying to, but singleplayer games are too boring for me these days, i hate going through 3 hours of cutscenes and tutorials just to kill a few retarded AIs.
I mainly play multiplayer games now.

One regular RPG. It took 11 hours.

You need variety, if your backlog consists of nothing but long as fuck RPG games, of course you're never going to make any headway.

Why is there so much gay shit when they could be making porn of best girl?

i haven't found a real reason to finish the backlog. so until i find a reason to actually give a shit, i'm not going to punish myself for not playing it.

Fuck you Spongebob, Im working on it.

Ill never get to the bottom of the stack.

I have no fucking clue why just looking at show clips got me this as a fucking recommendation.

I've already bought 5 games off of the Steam Summer Sale and haven't even made a dent into my library. I'm fucking hopeless.

Probably a good thing. I'll never run out of backlog games so I'll never be tempted to play shitty new games.

I'm pretty much virtual hoarding at this point, I just like having a lot of games. I keep filling my 4 HDDs and moving things around to make room, TB aren't enough.

This isn't even counting all of the console games i have.

Finally beat Demon's Crest

Dark Demon is a Cunt

Guess Earthbound is next

I got a mega link of roms if anyone wants them.

I haven't been playing games that much. I am learning Japanese right now, so I have that to do. And I can play these games as practice later, in Japanese, when I get to that level.

Almost done with hiragana. Not moving to katakana yet because recognizing some of them still takes effort. Same thing for writing.

Pretty much certain that I can do it, at this point. I just don't know how long it will take until I can use a little bit, but it probably won't take too long. Other than learning all these moonrunes, it's a cakewalk.

Well, I will get there eventually if I keep going.

That happened to me recently, but it was worse. I lost thousands. Most from full sets. Around 500 that I downloaded individually (too big for full sets). My games_to_play.txt was also lost (actually a bigger deal than losing the games themselves, perhaps). I had already downloaded pretty much everything that interested me just in case the American/EU pigs decide to destroy the internet one of these days. Definitely going to happen eventually. Replaced some of them, but I just don't have the energy to do it all over again right now. Maybe later.

I actually lost everything that I ever downloaded. All of my files from the late 90s to 2017. That was some painful shit. Lost some important stuff as well, and a fuckton of things that I can't replace.

Took it pretty well, though. A few years ago I probably would have had a much stronger reaction, but now I am kinda numb to loss, and everything going wrong. I guess after life machine guns you with shit for so long you just get used to it. Just one more turd doesn't make that much of a difference. It just makes me feel old. Maybe a little bit like a mountain.

I just want to beat mario one day.

I am decent at everything, best at platformers. Most people would say that I am very good, but those people are very bad, so their opinions aren't worth much.

There are two exceptions, though. I am bad at fighting games (though I probably feel that I am worse than I actually am) and I am truly horrendous at shmups.

Though I don't actually play shmups that much, because it just feels like a waste of time. If I credit feed, it's pointless. If I try to 1cc, it's not even worth trying because it's not really meant do be done. I guess that could be applied to arcade games in general, but other genres tend to have more variety in how reasonable the games are (and more variety in general).

But even that has exceptions, because I can play the ones with limited continues (because that's a reasonable standard, defined by the game itself) and I can play the ones with checkpoints (disregarding the fact that it takes ridiculously long for me to get anywhere because dying generally makes these nearly impossible).

As far as platformers go, I actually don't like the 2D Marios as much as most games. I do prefer the 2D Sonics to the 2D Marios, though that is still not close to the top as far as I'm concerned.

Definitely prefer the Castlevanias, (NES) Batman, Ninja Gaiden 1, all the Contras, all the Mega Mans, all the Shinobis, the Turricans… it's pointless to even list everything. I put pretty much everything that I like over the Marios, even though I do like the Marios quite a bit (and I did beat the originals with no continues and no warps, except for the Japanese 2).

My recommendation, if you want to get good at platformers, is to start with the original Castlevania (the American version of 3 when you feel pretty confident that you will never give up), and then maybe go to Mega Man 2 or 3, then maybe X. Play these until you beat them and I guarantee that you will be able to beat anything, if you persist. Mario is too slippery for a beginner. Leave that for later (and when you play the original, try to learn where all of the lives are, and get all the coins that you can).

Play Castlevania until you beat it. That's my general recommendation for a beginner. It will be enough to quick your ass, but you can do it. It's a stiffer game that doesn't make you worry about controlling your character in the air, or about overjumping. It will significantly boost your skills without giving you too much to worry about. And you shouldn't give up because it's one of the best games ever made. After you beat it, play it again and see how much better you got.

This, except when it comes to building/engineering games. I tend to do well there. As for FPS Verdun helps me a lot since most weapons are one shot kill, and while the game has some twitch it isn't a lot, only in close range.

THE GAY COMMUNITY

...

Am I the only person that just removes games I end up not liking from my backlog? Isn't a backlog just supposed to be a quick list of games that looked interesting?

What in the ever-loving fuck am I reading?

Drunken advice that has worked before. Go do it if you haven't and git gud, faggit. I guarantee that it works.

Don't question the expert. Just do it. Come back when you're done.

I don't recommend the original Mario for people that are bad at platformers because it doesn't have very much going on, and because for someone like that, the momentum mechanic is just an unnecessary distraction. Castlevania is a stiffer game with tons of shit to avoid and kill, so I think it's a better choice. It also murders people that aren't average or better, so that's good. And it's a better game by far, so people won't give up as easily. Mario doesn't seem to get people anywhere, and it's not as good.

I think it's good advice. It's doable. It definitely will teach someone to jump and dodge shit. It will also give them good taste.

If I wanted to be cruel, I would just recommend Ghosts 'n Goblins or Ninja Gaiden 3. Maybe the original Adventure Island (without telling them about the Hudson bee secret item that gives you access to the continue code). For a good beginner experience. That would actually be perfect because that game isn't notorious for being as insanely difficult as it is, like the others.

That's what you should do. It's not like you can actually finish your backlog (unless it's abnormally small and doesn't grow), so just get the trash out of the way. Though it does occasionally pay off to try some games a few times. Acquired taste is a thing to take into consideration before you completely give up on something. And sometimes you are just not used to the kind of game that you're playing, or you don't entirely understand it yet.

Though of course, if a game is good, you will probably play it again regardless.

I'm guessing you're still drunk.

If that's actually true I'd buy you another beer so you can keep drunkposting.
