Yes, he was embarrassed over losing to Frost and trained for a whopping nine hours with Gohan and pulled a Freeza. Speaking of, one semi-decent thing that's come from super is that it clarified ultra Gohan as being a separate state from his normal self, and not soemthing that stacks with super saiyan forms.

Wait, the Zamasus are actually being mind-controlled? The first game set up that Demigra's/Towa's mind control doesn't work on gods. I thought they'd actually get creative for the Ambiguously Gay Duo, but I guess that's giving Xenoverse 2 way too much credit. And for fuck's sake, why did they just roll with that gravely voice for base form Black? We all know by now that it was just a flub on the voice director's part, since they didn't know about Zamasu and how he talks back then.

Turns out that, in the manga at least, he's just a kai-o like king kai and not a full god. This is why his porta fusion was temporary like Vegito's, and I assume why the better villains can mind control him.

Fair enough, but the games typically follow the anime's example, so I'm sure they completely ignored any information from the manga and just got lazy here.
