I want a NEW real time mech game!

Something that isn't 10 years old holy fuck.
Any new mech games out there? Preferably for PC, but I'm desperate enough so I can snatch some shitty console somewhere if game in question is good enough.

And by new I mean LITERALLY new, not just flashy-shiny AAA garbage, because I know there is nothing except Titanfall and that one is trash. Or maybe that censored to hell and back Xenoblade game, but that's not a real time game either so whatever.
Something low-key no graphics indie shit like Windom or High-Macs, as long as I haven't played it yet, would do perfectly fine. I really hope for some unknown/obscure shit there, because just googling doesn't give me anything.

And yeah even if it's in jap or korean or whatever I'll take it, I will figure out how to shoot shit.
You see this? Yeah I played it despite being in runes for a while, I'm that autistic.
It's not very fun though.

Filtered.

It's not like there's any good tank games around either. Fuck you.

Also, OP, pirate Brigador. It's like Future Cop only with a shitload more vehicles and weapons.

Is Damascus Gear good? I pirated it and threw it on my vita because I had a gig free.

You can't learn Futhark

Oh shit I bought it and forgot about it. It's not all that good, but is decent enough for its price.
Absolutely sick artstyle and music too.
I guess I'll give it another roll, but this thread is still relevant. There gotta be something else.

Shieeet son, it looks great. Does it have in-depth cusomisation loot system like you would expect from a diablo clone? I don't have vita, but this looks really neat. Made by Guilty Gear studio no less.
Since you have it, you might as well play it and tell us if it's shit or not.

The game's kinda shit, though.

For a game about mass destruction and collateral damage it's unsatisfying as fuck to kill and destroy things, maybe that's why I didn't have much fun with it.

Wait for the new Armored Core.

Gundam Breaker?

Also good news for me, I guess I don't have to buy myself a second hand vita.

"Wait" is not a video game bruh, of course I'm looking forward for it, but seeing as there is still no trailer, no art, no any info whatsoever, it could be years before they release anything.

You can never go wrong with the Armored Core series. They're only on consoles, running from the PlayStation 1 to the 360, so I'm sure you could emulate a few of the earlier titles.

Sick upscaling man, I assume it's on PS4?
Can you pirate shit for PS4 yet?
I'm aware that gundam games in all sorts of genres are constantly coming out, but they look like something I already played with better graphics. It's not a bad thing of course.

I specifically made an accent on the word new.
I played most of AC games, except portable ports. Though I gotta say I prefer PS1-2 era to XBOX360 ones.

Heavy Gear Assault
Its in Early Access though

yeah, pisspoor and vita. Don't think ps4 is cracked yet.

Theres also Project Nimbus, Strike Suit Zero and Baldr Sky

Oh right that thing. My rule of thumb is not touch early access.
Especially since they said they gonna prioritize multiplayer and campaign will be released in episodes or some shit after game leaves EA.
Like ok fine, I guess I'll play it in 10 years if they pull it through. You might as well drop Project Nimbus, MAV, Dual Gear and a bunch of others that were there for years.

Well shit you beat me to it.
I have both strike suit games, they're meh tbh. More of a 3D shmups than proper mech games. Nimbus looks like it's gonna be the same shit.
As for baldr sky I thought it's a porn vn that also has mechs, does it have any real gameplay? I think there was valken porn clone as well where you have sex in between missions or something, is it like that?

Transformers war for cybertron may be getting a bit old but I enjoyed it.

Fall of cybertron was a goddamn hoot if you are a transformers fan.

transformers are not mechs

You tell me
FUCKINK SEKIKES LOCALIZE THIS SHIT ALREADY

Holy shit, for PC too.

Damn Japs really love PC nowadays!

Niche games sell decently and its cheaper to distribute and license their games.

They should have figured this shit waaaay, waaaaay earlier.

Still a welcome change, when all japs come to PC, consoles are doomed.

Oh right I played a demo of that or something.
I think it had mech from Jinki Extend anime, maribito something. There was just like one level with one boss and I though what a weird fucking shit.
It didn't have all those bullshit bars and stats though, is the game really that in-depth or all of that is just for the cool factor?

Well article says it would be on steam in spring and it's still nowhere to be found, so I dunno when it will actually be released.
Also latest Blazblue port was a complete disaster that still hasn't been fully fixed, despite most Arksys port being brilliant.
Just a food for thought.

Japanese indie PC market was a thing before HL1. It was mostly porn of course, but some little action games were here as well since time immemorial.

...

Doujin games and eroge were mainstay PC games, I'm just saying it's nice now console jap games come to PC too.

It comes full circle.

Oh boy
There is not a single good thing about that piece of shit, not a single redeeming factor. Nothing.

You're right, it sells like hotcakes, japs with their archaic brains are super slow to pick up.

I think it mostly comes down to the fact PC in the past lacked a centralized distribution system, but now Steam steps that game up.

Too bad they don't know Steam games are easily pirateable.

Then again, japs are super nice, they even thanked that guy that made DSfix.

Its cool factor mostly, its still pretty enjoyable considering the customization options and the VN part.
True, but mostly Dojins or the rare console port with maybe some exceptions like Falcom and such which were usually not localized
Nowadags everything from Atrain to Monster Hunter is coming out for it.
I'm not talking about PC98 here, we all know that barely has anything to do with how the platform works nowadays hardware or software wise

Yeah, when EDF came up I shat fucking bricks, I never expected that to happen.
The platform is going to need more traction in Japan itself before pretty much anything comes to it, which is very slowly hapoening, half the reason is the Asian/Chinese market.

Well there is this Real Time + Turned Based hybrid thing? It's even got a demo. The only problem is that it's a Real Time + Turned Based hybrid thing

Be patient, mechwarrior V is coming out in 2018, until then play mechwarrior IV mercenaries, it's old but gold. You can also play mechwarrior online if you want, but I heard it's not top tier.

Was about to post that

Yeah sure, enjoy that user.

Ah sweet child.

If it will be just a regular full priced game without any micro transactions there is a chance for it being not complete shit, but better not get one's hopes too high.

Theres also WindomXP

Well, the games has a Mercenary management component instead of being random missions.
That gives me slight hope

My sweet summer child.

Damascus gear looks good, thanks user.

Did someone say windom?
gloverzz.net/2013/01/ultimate-knight-windom-xp.html

I said random missions as sloppily handcrafted mission after mission with some customization before it instead if the non linear management and mission undertaking we're supposedely getting.

How bad is MWO? I played Hawken instead since it was a smaller download.

Go read up on all the shit the developers had promised MWO was going to get and then look where the game is now. MW5 is going to be a complete joke.

This is the best you're gonna get for a long time.

If some faggot will figure out how to set up a server and connect to it, we could have some matches.

Does that one include power up kit and final patch with chrome lolibots?

It's full on p2w garbage with a hadful of maps and modes. At least it was in this state a few years ago. I doubt anything has changed.
But hey you can buy gold mechs!

I need to really man up and play with anons someday. But PTSD from MWO is still fresh.

Also Code Hardcore when?

Looks nice, I remember playing a demo like a year or so ago and it was pretty okay.

...

If you're into retroshit I'd recommend you to emulate Night Slave(PC-98), Steambot Chronicles(PS2) or EGG(Dreamcast).

If you got a PS4 there's Gundam Breaker 3. Gundam Versus and 13 Sentinels are coming out soon aswell(I'm pretty hyped for both because they get a western release).

...

Yes thank you trips man, that's the valken porn clone I was mentioning in
I might check it out.

I don't know, sorry. I just had that link lying around.

Jesus christ that is the most uninspired trailer ever.
voice acting consists of some intern reading a line
lack of any cockpit noise or bleeping
JUST

...

...

That crazy jap put insane amount of effort into his shit, he was updating the game for years.
In its last iteration it has like 24 or 26 mechs in it, without any full on clones/model swaps.

...

Also, I was interested in Mechwarrior in a different mech thread and someone recommended this turret, here's all four mechwarrior games.
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:1a139318faa15f4ab5bf4b48735d43a531fbbe6d&dn=%5bR.G.%20Catalyst%5d%20MechWarrior%20Quadrology

Really? Reminds me of Rabi Ribi. I love that sort of shit.
I might end up buying it to be honest.

...

gundam versus is coming in july. it's more of a fighting/arcade game than a real mech game. closest thing to a AAA mech game on the horizon.

MAVaka notchromehounds looks potentially promising, the dev has come here a couple times for advice

mechadamashii said that fromsoft is working on a new AC game, but it's been two e3s with no announcements and i don't know how long i can hold out hope

how are the psp ports of the old ac games? assuming i play on emulator and don't have to deal with shitty psp controls, are they a good way to experience those games? i've only played 4a and VD

Forgot to add there's also Zone of the Enders for PS2/PS3.

...

Wait for Tokyo Games Show in september.

Don't you have general up? I guess you don't.

How the FUCK does that remind you of 2D bunny girl platformer?

They have more content but worse graphics. If you're emulating, check up what console runs them at what framerate though, since I think that PS2 games run at 60, but psp ones run at 30.
I might be wrong though, I only played PS2 ones and couldn't be assed to went through all of that again for a couple of new missions and pairs of legs.

No, sorry about posting mechs in a mech thread. I'd do it in fewer posts but Holla Forums shits itself if I try to post multiple webms in one post.

The frequent free updates even after release thing.

E3 is garbage
TGS and Gamescom is where all the good and non normalfag announcements and actual game footage are, August and September are vidya Christmas, not fucking June, June is for laughing, cringing and getting slightly depressed.

It's ok, you can hijack it if you want.

Oh that's cool. I didn't like Ribi Rabi but at least I can respect dev now.

how about earth federation vs zeon realtime war in a 1:1 scale open world multiplayer map of the entire continent of australia?

I count all of two missions that stood out from the just break shit routine. I liked the one with mostly human suicide bombers and that one where you start with no weapons and have to dodge the blimbs. That's about all that's memorable.

forgot the link

...

You what m8?

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

So I know it's not real time but how about that Battletech game that was shown in E3? Looked pretty decent but I don't much about it besides the variety of KANGZ characters.

So far the tactical options seem to be lacking even more so than in nuxcom and the AI is ultra trash.
They say it's because it's "only a beta" but we all know how this usually turns out.

Damn you, I just want my dreams to become real.
source on the webbum?

They tried to reinvent the wheel when they didn't need to. So expect it to be trash.

Patlabor

Thanks user

Is that minigun sticking out from where I'm thinking it is?
That animation looks very familiar, I can't place my finger on it.

I agree with everything else, but what's wrong with mechs that have emotions?
The ZoE series pulled it off pretty well.

It's actually a good spot to place a weapon and a noted blind spot.

Bump

Better place would be shoulder, then you can actually utilize cover and still be able to shoot effectively and wont reveal much of yourself.

But it's scientifically proven as well as field tested that dickguns exponentially increase firepower.

But what if the enemy closes in? Then your gun is too high up

...

What's Iron Brigade like, anyone know?

I'm playing shogo right now, fucking christ those models are ugly as sin.

Interesting, but I'll wait until it bakes for a bit more.

Ok I beat campaign mode of Brigador and a bunch of freelance missions. It's really fucking meh. Worth a playthrough solely for art style. Honest pre-rendered 2D graphics diablo 2 style without mirroring are ultra rare nowadays, let alone in proper HD. I can't even think of anything else like this.

It's actually kinda like Brigador but from third person perspective. I.e. Mechwarrior ultralight, without any depth, scale or intricacies.
It might be good as portable game really, but on PC it gets boring after an hour.
It does have batshit humour/setting though I give it that.

Problem with Shogo is the same as with Titanfall - mechs are just big guys, they don't feel as vehicles or mechanical war machies.

Play the original Armored Core if you want the mechs to feel like mechs.

I made no mention of gameplay, I'm talking the 3D models here.

It isn't exactly new, but there's a lot of obscure shareware japshit:
HIGH-MACS Simulator is a free clone of the gungriffon series
Second Age is an okay space mech game.
Silver knight is a decent land based one with multiplayer

What game?

Something something Windom XP.

Well gave Iron Brigade a try. It's actually not half bad considering what it is. Being able to run about the ship's deck and inspect other players mechs then give them the finger is a nice little touch. What honestly all mechlabs should let you do.

Bump!

Pirate it regardless if it's good or not, double fine/Mr shitface made it
