With the Nintendo Switch 3.0 update, the system now has support for wired controller input. While there are officially no controllers yet on the market that are marketed as compatible I have found that the Hori Pokkén Tournament Battle Pad is compatible with the system.
I have also tested the following controllers and can confirm that they do not work
